Avatar m tn I am taking cipro for possible infection. I can't sleep at night. am I able to take an sleep-aid to help with rest and sleep?
Avatar m tn This thread is over, can't help you with this anymore as I have nothing left to say that has not been said already.
Avatar n tn Hi and sorry you got the run around. You can carry C. difficile and if you don't have symptoms and since you don't have the toxin B then you don't need treatment. So, if you don't have symptoms you don't need the antibiotic. If you want to finish the course of metronidazole for the parasite you can even though they didn't find one. Sometimes it takes several specimens to find one. Do you have diarrhea? If so, how often do you have diarrhea per day? Or are you over it?
Avatar f tn Do not take Cipro with calcium, milk, yogurt, probiotics or with Nexium (which contains magnesium). Cipro is a quinalone, and is effective against mycobacteria, which don't have cell walls, but is not effective against other many strains of bacteria. The taking of an anti-viral is a mixed blessing. Go to the FDA site for information on Valtrex. A culture should have been taken, but this isn't done very often these days.
Avatar f tn my doctor told me to take a stool softener with my prenatal, it has helped me tremendously though this whole pregnancy
Avatar f tn I am not saying come off it but what you are experiencing could be from that. It stays in your system long after you take it. Are you still taking pain meds? I can't remember if Cipro causes constipation but pain meds do for sure. Are you taking any stool softeners to help? Ginger or peppermint tea help a lot with bloating as well as a heating blanket. When you mean blocked do you mean constipated blocked?
Avatar f tn I took sulfa for a few things here and there, and one day became allergic and had an anaphylactic reaction, couldn't breathe, was rushed to ER. Did the doc do a bcteria test on the urine?
Avatar f tn better eat something than nothing. im also making a smoothie with banana berries honey and milk each morning so i get some of my 5 a day and some calcium as milk in cereal makes me sick. try soups too as if you do bring them up a least theyre already liquid. good luck!
Avatar f tn It appears that you are afflicted with advanced periodontal disease. Multiple extraction may not need antibiotics in the situation of advanced periodontitis. However, if you do need antibiotics after extraction, amoxicillin and metronidazole, erythromycin( erythromycin, azithromycin, clarithromycin) and metronidazole are commonly prescribed for periodontal infection. You may address your condern to your dentist.
3185867 tn?1348434443 It is easier and better to stick to one or the other. If you stick at it it will get easier for you both but it is normal for it to take a little time.
Avatar f tn //www.medhelp.org/user_journals/show/2322 The Flip-Turn Sinus Flush is mildly risky, because you have to bend over to do it, preferably in a shower, but you can also do it outside on soft ground, or you can kneel down and lean over a bathtub, or perhaps a plastic basin or tub, with the shower running for steam. You should see an ENT first, make sure you don't have polyps or something else causing a physical blockage.
Avatar n tn Nav, if docs give you prescriptions for antibiotics without a clear indication that you should be taking them - like a positive result on a test - don't take them anymore. Antibiotics are great, but they are completely overused. It's possible that you may have skewed the bacterial count and type in your GI tract with the antibiotic use - and Cipro and flagyl are two of the big offenders, but not the only ones.
Avatar f tn I'm 7w & I've been fighting nausea for about 2 weeks now. Not even 4 days ago I was so sick from not being able to eat anything that i got to the point I was about passing out & just wasn't with it at all. I couldn't even drink anything so I felt awful. & my boyfriend felt like he couldn't do anything to help me. I've noticed though that when I take my prenatal vitamins that day, I don't feel sick!! That may help you.
Avatar m tn Was diagnosed with acute prostatitis. Took cipro for 3 weeks. Just before cipro ended I ejaculated and it burned. Symptoms have subsided with heavy hydration, but the occassional irritation is still there and so is my swollen prostate? I'm also affraid to ejaculate as that may kick start the symptoms I'm failry convinced this is not an STD, but would like your input.
1399033 tn?1449587779 I can't seem to get it under control. I also had it for a few days after my first son was born in September but I can't stop crying with this one. I'm fine for a little while but then I start crying and can't stop. I have been crying for 3-4 days straight. My son was born a week ago. I miss my DH so bad. He's working nights which doesn't help.
Avatar f tn I have some recurring urological problems (prostatitis/epididymitis) and in the past have been prescribed Cipro. I have an appointment with the urologist coming up and am sure I will need another course of Cipro. I hate taking that stuff. Everytime I take it, I feel extremely tired. It is almost to the point that I can't work. Usually better after a week on the meds. Anybody else have that reaction? I guess it is a necessary evil because the urolological problems always get better.
Avatar f tn I have taken gummies but now i take my prenatal vitamin with milk hell of a lot easier and you're also getting the calcium you need
Avatar f tn The reason that the other poster could have been cured by cipro is that she may have had a Mycoplasma and it may have been sensitive to ciprofloxacin. But the standard treatment for bv is either metronidazole or Clindamycin. So you can try the cipro and see if it clears up but if it doesn't then if can take clindamycin I would then take probiotics after. Cipro can treat a lot of UTI's but not all. It depends on the bacteria that is causing the infection and how resistant it is.
1580703 tn?1651904887 I would however suggest you see a neurologist if you are experiencing significant numbness with loss of sensitivity. This should be investigated further and wold be an unusual finding in a 'prediabetic". I would suggest you see your doctor for a urine culture and possible change in antibiotic. J.
Avatar f tn I'm with you. I have 3 days till my due date and I can't dialate. I have tried all the home remedies, sex, walking, birthing ball, a whole pineapple a day, milk and OJ, red raspberry leaf tea. Nothing seems to make me dialate. ... Any other advice out there would be wonderful.
Avatar n tn I would suggest you discuss this with him. I don't mean to confuse you and hope that i haven't. this is not such simple stuff, as you can see. I think you need to have a better idea of what he's thinking before you judge what to do next.
Avatar n tn is it safe to take 125 mg of cipro each day for 6 months I was prescribed this for a UTI that keeps coming back. Also the pharmacy that filled the prescription gave me 250mg tablets and told me they aren't made in 125mg. and for me to break in half . But the info that comes with the meds says not to break.crush, or chew.
Avatar f tn I have read about overgrowth and did take cipro 500 mg daily for 5 days and came out of being so weak I could hardly walk episode!..the dr said just try and it helped..thank you! I know taking antibiotics when no fever or culture sounds questionable but it did help a few months ago.....I am in pain a lot but when I am really weak..I wonder if something else is going on..
