Avatar n tn hi, Lifting weights can certainly make you sore especially the next day if you over do it and are not used to working out. OR if you added more weight to what you normally use. Lactic acid builds up and it takes awhile to get worked out. Take a nice hot bath perhaps with some empsoms salts, they relax your muscles. Over the counter magnesium may help also. Make sure you keep moving and stretch. But if you are that sore wait till you feel a bit normal again before working out.
Avatar f tn My Chiari surgery site usually feels more tender to the touch on the days my muscles hurt the worst and all of my senses are more heightened. The wind blowing on my skin or water running on my skin hurts and I a feel exhausted the minute I get out of bed. And yes, the souls of my feet hurt also. They feel like someone is pushing a stick up through the bottom of them. Rest and quietness help and ice packs on my neck, when I go to bed usually feel good too, if sensitivity has gone down by then.

I keep my jogging at a minimum speed and under a mile a day and lift very light weights not to overdo it. Doctor says its fine but everyone tells me I shouldn't run. Anybody else in the same boat and if so up until what week in your pregnancy did you stay active?

Prior to this I was used to doing intense spin classes 3+ times a week....I haven't worked out since finding out I'm pregnant (5 weeks) but the doctor said it's ok. So I tried sit ups, and after 2 sets of 15 my lower belly was sore, so I stopped. And today its still sore! I didnt have any problems at all after my first one. Has anyone dealt with this? I usuallywalk about 2 miles (sometimes I will run for just a few minutes, it is more walking) and then I will use weight machines (abs, arms, and legs). Avatar n tn s because I can no longer run, do Pilates or Zumba due to the Anemia. I tried to keep it up but almost passed out on a run and the walk to the Pilates class was to tiring? I feel horrible. I hate my wt.(lots of cellulite) from quick wt gain. I am uncomfortable in my own skin due to Riba rash and the food that feels the best in my mouth is soft serve. So now my previously fit body has turned into soft serve. I have no initiative or energy. Cranky and tired.

Avatar f tn You feel sick ....and this is regardless of being pregnant or not. It's because your body knows when it needs energy whether you feel hungry or not and therefor your body will make you feel sick so you know to eat something. After your body realises that making itself feel sick isn't working to get food in it it will start breaking down muscles and fat for energy....
