Due to my habit, I used to chew my lower lips by my teeth. Now few months back I noticed that a small portion of the lips which I used to bite has got a white patch like skin. Now I've stopped chewing my lips but this patch is not going. When my lips are dried then it seems that it is getting cured but once I drink water or take shower, it gets to its usual appearance.
I get this white gooey stuff on my lips...almost like it's chapped but I put on blistex every single day, and still when I get out of the water, or just throughout the day, I'll get it. do you know how to get rid of it?

This could be a part of Cheilitis, which is a medical condition involving inflammation of the lip. Or a bad case of Chapped lips , a condition whereby the lips become dry and possibly cracked. It may be caused by the evaporation of moisture.
Lip balm can often provide temporary relief, though it should not be used extensively. One should avoid licking their lips as saliva contains the enzyme amylase, which can damage the already compromised lip tissue.
They are are under the skin and recently seem to have spread just a bit but no more arround my lip is regular acne i do believe,but i have never broken out in my entire life this bad,tho it is not severe,it is more than i am used to,mainly the forehead,and arround my lips,basically black heads,except thes white bumps under my lips skin,if anyone has an idea please let me know
I didn't put chapstick on my lips for most of the day and the white spot became VERY white, so do you think it's chapped lips or something??
I have a pea sized white bump of thick skin on my lower lip. It's been there for a couple years and doesn't seem to have changed in size. It's painless, but does swell if I mess with it, and peels if my lips become chapped. Most answers I've received don't seem to describe it at all, and I'm baffled as to what it could be.
Have you checked yourself for herpes? I have herpes type I & II. I also have white dots on my lips, under my eyes, and on my eyelids. Do you mind if you check yourself for herpes? I want to see whether that's something to deal with the sickness. My white dots are also hard to see, but they are more in number than 1 year ago.
I kissed her on her lips and various other parts of her body (not genitals). 3 days back I noticed 2 tiny spots on my gum just below the front tooth. These are whitish (not exactly white, transparent sort of), don't hurt or itch. When I brush I can cut them open with the brush and nothing visible comes out of them (watery fluid probably).
I also noticed more white dots (these more noticeably dots, and more noticeably white) on the corners of my lips, and going up the lips a good ways.
I've been putting denavir cream on for quite a while now, but the spots do not seem to be going away.
My biggest concern is that they are contagious. The last thing I want to do is spread something to my girlfriend, since she has a much weaker immune system than me.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have read that not protecting lips and spraying directly on face can effect the mucus membranes namely the lips. Less than 24 hrs later my upperlip had a white raised rash sourounded by many smaller white bumps , the corners of my mouth are also white and blotchy. The bottom lip seems ok except for being chaped and cracked. I have used vaseline for 4 days not and it has not helped. It only makes the lips burn. Cool liquids seem to south the lips temporarily .
I have numerous white spots on my upper lip that appear to be under the skin. You cannot see them if my mouth is closed. There are none on my lower lip. However my lips are very dry, and my upper lip tends to tingle or burn.
What is this? I have read about Fordyce's condition and fell that may be it, but I don't know.....

From the symptoms these white spots can be due to Fordyce spots, mucocele if found on the inside of lips, fungal infection, lichen planus or actinic cheilitis.
Actinic cheilitis is a form of cheilitis which is the counterpart of actinic keratosis of the skin. Without examination and biopsy, it is very difficult to confirm a diagnosis and hence I suggest you to get a biopsy skin done.
It was tiny and not noticeable unless looking closely. I scratched it and the skin broke and the white puss came out under my nail. A small scab formed which lasted for around a week. The scab was so small my wife had to use the torch on her phone to see it.
6 days after the first pimple, a second one came up on the other side of my top lip. I don't think this one formed a head or if did, it was indistinguishable from the fordyce spots I also have in the area.

Most parents are worried when they observe white patches on their children’s skin over the face and bring them for consultation. Many of them have heard that these are due to some deficiency and others think that these are due to some serious skin disease, for this reason I thought of writing about these.
These patches are whitish (not shiny white), has ill defined margin and merge with the surrounding skin.
After use I saw my lips get very white and after a couple of days it seemed like the top thin layer of skin came off: painless. I know its my fault for not reading the box but now my lips get very dry. They turn to an off-white color. I am constantly licking my lips and using chapstick. Its like my lips are not holding any moisture. When I press my lips together they seem to stick almost like I have a small application of glue on them, making them stick.
He was pretty sure the white bumps on my lips were from the HSV-1. He put me on acyclovir.The antibiotics gave me thrush bad in my mouth and a bad rash around my anus and up my butt crack (I assume and hope the itching and redness there is just from the antibiotics).
Here is my concern...
1) I have a had one or two 1 mm red bumps on my penis head for 3-4 weeks. It itched initially at first but not really anymore. They havent really changed appearence.

Drink plenty of water and take multivitamin supplements and do not apply lipstick or other cosmetic products for some days. Use a humidifier to moisturize the air in your home and apply shea butter or Vaseline on your lips.
The next day I began noticing small painless white bumps around the corners of my mouth. At first they only seemed noticeable after I put the blistex on them. Now yesterday I can see them even clearer.
They don't burn, and the only sensation is a dryness of my lips. There has also been a discoloration of my upper lip that started about 2 days ago. It is also painless.
( but my rash reduce. so i went for the 3rd doctor... she gave me steroid to help on my swollen lips.. Uhuh.. im getting worse... my lips become so itchy.. everytime i apply medicated lip balm, my lips cracked and it smell.. yuck... i stop the med and went for the 4th doctor for allergy injection. she refuse me instead gave me levocetirizine dihydrochloride 5mg.. but i didnt eat it.. i asked her if my problem wont stop what she can do.. she told me that nothing else.. maybe other med..
10 years ago, I had gone through removing warts electrically from my lips that produced 2 scars. One on my upper lip which is small on the left side, white and raised. And the other is on the lower lip which is about 5mm length and width. It extends in size with time (what could stop it from extending?) and a little bit lighter than my lip color.
What is the proper solution for me? Will scar revision work or will it leave a worse scar? I am so depressed and confused.
i can feel white spots on my lips edge as well...As per my judgement these looks like fodyce spots but not all of them looks same like some are white opening and some are like skinny bumps...
my doubt these can be warts or fodyce spots....Can anyone elaborate how to distinguish in between both.
Does touching from cloth only can cause hpv since i didnt touch my penis for two days from my own hands so only possibility is from his hands...
I tend to have dead skin on my lips as well. Not the dry flaky kind that everyone gets but thick(ish) (not thick like my toes) to the point that I can peel the skin off my lips. This sometimes results in bleeding. If I do not peel it gets thick and dead, and eventually forms that white stuff closer to my mouth where dead skin is damp and coming off. It is so thick I cannot feel my lips.
If there is a way to include pictures I would happily do so.
I have had these little white bummps on almost all of my upper lips and on the corner of my lips where they both meet... I was kissing a girl a couple of days ago, she doesn't have herpes and i know i don't. i don't think it is herpes but i'm freaking out a little bit... i've been reading up on cold sores and lip infections. no of them seem to be what i have.
