White skin lice

Common Questions and Answers about White skin lice

Avatar f tn lice hate it and it causes lice AND nits to deteriorate and be unable to reproduce after a while. So if any escape the combing, you create a hostile environment for them and they disappear within a few days to a week and choose a different head next time. - important: really do that combing for the WHOLE family, continue for at least 2 weeks and always repeat if your child or anyone is scratching their head excessively. Consistency is the only thing that helps.
Avatar n tn Dandruff, a shedding of the skin on the scalp that leads to white flakes on the head, neck, and shoulders. It may be caused by a form of a skin condition called eczema, which causes increased shedding of normal scalp skin cells. Hormonal or seasonal changes may make dandruff worse. Head lice, tiny wingless insects that cause itching and raw patches on the scalp. Head lice are most common in school-age children.
Avatar n tn Anyway, I have been trying hard not to scratch to avoid tearing up my skin. I also see white, flaky skin patches. I don't seem to see any bugs crawling around but this itchiness has gone to my head, literally. I scratch my head as well as many places on my body (don't know if I'm making myself feel itchy all over from the nerves) but was wondering if these symptoms seem to be consistent w/lice or scabies? Or, if it could simply be some kind of follicullitis?
217229 tn?1192766004 The good news here, if there is any, is that head lice and body lice are different species and each sticks to its territory. Lucky you and don't ask how I know that.
Avatar n tn I notices a bug moving around in my guinea pigs fur near her skin, so I looked on the internet to see what it was. First the description said there were mites, then lice then nits. They where a greyish white colour and smaller then human head lice. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THEY ARE BECAUSE THEY NEED TO BE TREATED!!!
Avatar n tn a little while later I looked down at my white top and there were 10-15 lice crawling up towards my hair, I think they can sniff it out! good luck! by the way if you have a boy, apparently they do not go anywhere them once puberty starts, sadly not true for girls.
Avatar n tn I am getting white spots under my skin that itch. I can pick them out with my fingernail. They are hard, don't crawl or move after I get them out from under my skin. They also are on my feet and toes. Is anyone else familiar with these symptoms?
Avatar f tn its very flaky down there, and i noticed white things in the opening of the vagina which wasn't on hair but skin. it could of , been flakes or toilet paper fluff, but im not sure. i feel crawling and biting all over my head near my ears and my body. i dont have bed bugs, we washed the sheets twice since we found out i had lice. i feel itchy and crawling on eyebrows and eyelashes, but no eggs or nits. my forehead has dry skin. i dont want to cut my hair, im worried. P.
Avatar m tn I see no moving organisms with the lice and have not been sexually active for quite some time. Problem with warts: Such a ferocious outburst, within 2 days there are nearly 30 bumps on my pubic area and some near my belly button, I think is a bit unheard of with mulloscum warts. If anybody can help at all this would be greatly appreciated thanks.
Avatar f tn Hi there! I am asking about a skin rash or something that I have because I am out in the middle of the bush for work at the moment. I noticed about 6 days ago what I thought was a mosquito bite. It was red, raised and itchy. I forgot about it after a couple of days and then I noticed that it no longer looked like a mosquito bite. It had a small scabby centre (from picking the scab from itching) and then around it was red like a perfect circle. The skin wasn't raised.
Avatar n tn I have had no lice since the first Nix treatment and I seriously doubt that lice would cause such a lesion - we encountered lice about two years ago in the family and I never experienced lesions...Nix did the job for the family after one treatment. I will see a physician but not until late next week. I may go to Express Care today at a local hospital since I am traveling again early next week...penicillin perhaps?
Avatar m tn Hi, i'm 18 years of age, and have just noticed some red patches of skin approximately 1.5cm x .75cm in size, they are on the closest part of my legs to the groin, there are none of these on the scrotum or penis as of yet. They look and feel similar to that of a mosquito bite, and there are about 5 of them. My groin has been very itchy lately, I googled crabs/pubic lice, and it doesn't look as bad as that, the spots are a sort of inconspicuous red, not a standing out sort of red.
Avatar n tn Oh and I forgot to mention I notice what looks like lots of blackheads all over my skin and tiny white specks on my clothes.
Avatar n tn Listen. You can lie to yourself and live with your symptoms or you can be a mature 16 year old and face the facts. You have "Genital Warts". Look it up on the web, you will see the same symptoms. To get rid of them is relatively easy with a doctor visit. Perhaps a free clinic. It is all confidential. (Meaning your parents won't know). Second, that itch you have is called "Lice" or "Crabs"...
Avatar m tn I've been dealing with skin issues for about the last six months now . It started with itching all over my head and body, it felt like bugs crawling all over. It was driving me crazy! I have been to the doctor at least 3 times, at first the doctor gave me medication for mites and lice but that wasn't the problem. I have had blood work done and he can't find anything wrong.
Avatar f tn My scalp is normal in color, no redness as I am told could be the case with lice and no itch. Also no white segments around my ears and neck, where I am told lice usually are found. My scalp is not flaky. These segments are only on the hair shaft, not near the scalp.
482850 tn?1215069602 Some were red while others were white. They both sort of looked like maybe my pants had rubbed against my thighs and either irritated the skin or the hair follicles. By the end of Nov 07, the “bumps” had turned to painful, itchy, lesions where some appeared deep and un-healing, and some were scabbing somewhat which of course would cause those to stick to whatever I was wearing.
Avatar f tn My first thought was dandruff, but it didn't look like flakes of skin; they were smaller and circular; more dense. So then i thought of lice; but in my magnifying glass it didnt look like that, and my hair isn't really itchy. Plus, I regularly use nizoral which is actually prescribed to kill lice (among other things). In fact I had just used nizoral right before my girlfriend noticed the dots. Please let me know what could this be??? Need your advice!!!! Please HELPPPP!!!

Avatar m tn Hello, These white flakes can be due to dandruff or lice. Eat a healthy diet. You can also take vit B6 and vit A and E which are good for hair and skin. Try medicated shampoos for dandruff. There are a number of over-the-counter shampoos available that can help. The most effective ingredients -- antimicrobials -- to look for are zinc pyridinethione, selenium sulfide, sulfur and ketoconazole (also available by prescription).
Avatar m tn I don't really feel any bites or see them dig into my skin but I do itch. Some people say they pop white heads and the bugs come out,...I don't believe that.. What I have seen tho is it looks like they bed under my skin and I can dig them out... I have shaved my whole body time an time again.. 2 reasons I know they are alive and moving is I put a crum of food and put it next to them.. Some will latch on and start carrying it...
Avatar n tn The blood filled larva looks like a dark speck , but under a lens almost resembles a head lice. I presume the white balls are nothing but their eggs. The flies have a dark body an structurally resembles flying ants. These flies are abundant in nature on plant leaves and marshy lands. How to catch these flies from your body? It is very easy to catch them using a large clear polythene bag.
1270834 tn?1270773358 Each time I wipe myself, I can feel them scrape against my skin, it is an embarassing and uncomfortable condition. It would appear that I have a few things in common with those of you that suffer also; a touch of IBS, food intolerances, changable stools, medication, bloating and cramps. This has to be more than what I've been told, I've recently found out about Giardiasis and it looks promising but for the length of time I've suffered...
Avatar n tn The symptoms of this skin disease include stinging, pruritic (itchy), non-healing skin lesions. FIBERS of unknown origin are found deep within skin lesions, and are NOT the result of clothing or environmental fibers. Oils or lotions rubbed into the skin can cause many of these fibers to surface on clean skin. To study this, we have cleaned skin lesions and determined them to be fiber-free, by using a handheld microscope (30x Radio Shack).
Avatar f tn I'm not sure if it's just because my skin is really dry or the change from one extreme climate to the next- I was in Maui for a week where it was obviously very warm and then I got home to the midwest where it was freezing. Right when I got home from the trip is when this problem started to happen. I do have a doctor's appointment in a week but it's been so frustrating I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions- Thanks!!
Avatar n tn Scabies are tiny microscopic bugs that can get on your skin and cause itchy white bumps that ooze. I would recommend you go to the doctor right away. There is a cream that will treat it and you will also need to treat you clothing, bedding, stuffed animals, anything that you would clean as if you had head lice. I hope this helps.
Avatar m tn It started with being bitten by something, or feeling I was being bitten by something, small and evasive, along with my very first infestation of head lice - super lice, to be more exact - at the ripe old age of 48. Finally got rid of the head lice for sure a couple of weeks ago, but still get the crawlies and the biting sensations, and even have a couple of small, open wounds that look and felt/feel like the bites of something very small.
Avatar f tn The comb only caught these tiny white beads and no lice. I've noticed that I've had acne as long as I have had these tiny beads (for 5+ years) but the acne is very mild. There are no flakes and I wash my hair often. I have no rashes anywhere on my body but I often find acne on my scalp and between my shoulder blades. I tried dandruff shampoo with no success, then came oils like coconut and teatree. I would see a dermatologist but I'm impoverished and wondering what to do?
