My 8 year old has a cluster of white bumps on his arm and under arm on the left side only. They do not itch or bother him. They are white and hard. What could it be?
hello, im 14, and resently ive gotten white bumps on my forearm going up to the top of my arm, ive tried to research it but ive gotten no answers, dose anyone no what it is?
From the description of the condition of your daughter, it seems she might have been diagnosed with scabies, which is a common childhood skin infection that causes small itchy bumps and blisters on the skin. The causative organism is a mite, which burrows into the skin. The lesions can appear around the hands and feet (including elbows, wrists and between the fingers) and also genitals, navel, and buttocks.
As you explain about these white spots are flat on skin and spreading slowly it seems that this is skin condition vitiligo. white spots on skin which feel burning while exposed to the sun is a common symptom of skin condition vitiligo (source of info: http://www.antivitiligo.com/vitiligo/ ). I recommend you not use tanning beds to treat these spots. Because the intensity of uv radiation in these beds is 3 to 8 time than the sunlight. There is a great risk for skin cancer by harmful rays of UV.
We just call them skin bumps and she is used to them. I have tried treating them with Eucerin creams as her pediatrician recommended and with several other OTC creams such as hydrocortisone creams. Nothing seems to work. The bumps as I said do look like pimples, they are small and pretty much do not vary in size. If you squeeze them a small hard white head will come out. They are very itchy and I spend almost every night lightly scratching them for her just to ease some of her discomfort.
Hello, Well about a month or so ago i noticed about three small white bumps on my penis head, but their on the face of it i've always had little bumps under the rim of the head but that's not what concerns me, their kind of hard to see unless you squeeze the penis in a way so the head is engorged or press up on the tip of the head so its kind of bent. They might have appeared after receiving oral sex from this girl, i noticed the day after i also had some redness on the head of my penis as well.
My five year old daughter has small white bumps on her upper thigh near her pelvis. They don't bother her (no itching). But I have noticed more of them. It only started with a few, now they have spread.
My 7 yr old son had a breakout of itchy white bumps on his scrotum about amonth ago. I put Benadryl, lanacane, Co Co butter, and even tried anti fungal cream. Finally the itching stopped. About a week ago a tiny cluster of red bumps showed up with white/yellow heads and they popped when he was bathing. The red cluster is still there and 1 of the red bumps keeps coming to a yellow head. What is this and what is it from?
well i have white bumps on the high part of my arm that are spreading lower and lower even on my chest and on my legs and even on my neck and under chin too now and i've been to doctors and they said it was keratin thats not escaping from under the skin and they gave me some cream to treat it after about 2 or 3 days of using it i broke out in hives and a rash so i stopped using it and am very confused why its spreading and if you try to pop them white stuff could( be keratin) that looks like wh
They all (4 so far) have the same strange patch of skin on thier chin (just under) Im not sure what age it appeared but I didnt notice it till around 5ish on them. It appears all the time as a patch of small white bumps, often it can come up as sore red lumps like pimples. It occasionally peels. It is there basically 24/7 for many many years. I assume being that it is on all the boys in exactly the same spot that it may be somehting to do with the syndrome they have ??????
Thanks for you information. These spots are no Itchy and they are not bumps just white spots on the skin. Have you ever heard of putting dandurff shampoo on these spots or tree tea oil?
My daughter is 16 months and she has a few bumps on her body. The first was on her neck and now she has about 5 more. These bumps look puss filled and when my fiancee tried popping them, little white hard things came out. The others seem to have dissapeared but the one on her neck keeps filling back up. Now she has two little ones on the bottom of her lip. Nothing in her mouth, thankfully. i have done research to see what it could possibly be but i cant seem to find anything.
I have had these small bumps on the back sides of my hands for about 5 years now. They itch, not constantly, mostly when it is hot. they are not red they are the same color as my skin and some kinda white looking. my skin is pinkish around the area, but not bad, I believe it is from the itching. There are about 100 of these small irritating bumps. when I first noticed it about 5 years ago, I thought something had jus bit me a bunch of times, but I had it the whole summer.
Thanks in advance for answering my question. I have several red-ish/white bumps on the left side of my torso (two or three together in my upper pubic hair area toward stomach, although not in my genital area; one by my belly button, a group of 4 under my breast; one on my breast below the nipple and one at the top of my breast). the group of four i got several months ago and have been continuing to get more as time passes.
For the last 20 years I have gotten small red bumps on the sides of my fingers. They don't blister. They start out as one or two and then I might get a few more and they seem to cluster up on only the sides of my fingers. They are not itchy but they are sore to the touch when you run your finger over them. It feels like you have a splinter. They are slightly raised and red in color. They will stay for varying lengths of time and then dry up and go away.
My 3 year old has strange bumps/nodules on his chest, stomach area. When they first appeared, my husband and I thought it was just raised moles, as my husband has a few of them. My son has had them for approximately 6 months. But just recently, the largest became red around the base and then turned completely white and looked as if it would burst. My husband pinched the skin around the largest lump slightly to examine it better and firmer, white stuff popped out of it, similar to a zit.
We then had house guests (2 parents and a 3 year old) and the 3 year old and mother got the bumps (about a half dozen for each). While they stayed with us the bumps spread wildly on my 1 year old including to her scalp and back of the neck, and surprisingly and extensively on the mother (abdomen, under breasts, arms, and bikini area and chins). The house guests departed after staying at our house for 3 days, and their bumps began going away within 24 hours.
So if your having this problem after using a pad or panty liner it is most like just skin irritation. Just stop the use of the pad and put lotion on the dry cracked skin ( Only on the Outside!! And use a Non-scented lotion to keep from further irritation!!
The reason can be attributed to the intense exposure of skin to sun. The ultraviolet (UV) irradiation has intense effects on skin immunology, including reduction in density and antigen-presenting ability of Langerhans cells in the epidermis, increased keratinocyte secretion of IL-10 and prostaglandin E2 with increased serum levels of IL-4. [5] In addition, there is induction of suppressive IL-12p40 homodimers by dendritic cells and macrophages.
First of all I doubt very much that any of us are doctors on this forum. The disclaimer on the comments on the side of your browser states that you should NOT act on the advice given out on this forum alone. With that said ... How long have you had the bumps? I just recently got very concerned over the very same thing. Have you had sex with a girl at any point in the past 2 months (like the incident above)? Note it does NOT matter if you used protection, you can still get some STDs.
Pityriasis usually affects the face or the arms in children. Tinea versicolor may show light white discolorations on the skin with light central scaling. Have you observed scales in the area?
Afew days later he had red patches all over his body, excema, started using derma-smooth, white dove and free and clear laundry det., then he had a few bumps pop up (not to concerning at the time) He was back the next week for staph was put on septra, his wheezing was still bad(after prednisolne) The next week back for recheck for his wheezing a few more bumps had appeared doc barely looked said flea bites.
She has theses little red like white head bumps in side her inter thighs close to her private part. Some she has a dry scaley ones on her bottom and inter thighs. And on her stomach, chest and upper back feels like a red rash almost can't see it but you can feel it. Also theses bumps in her inner thighs itch like crazy. So I give her benadrly and aply cortizone cream all the time. I took her to a dermatology back in Nov.
However, again after 1 year or so, i have noticed that these cysts coming on my scrotum with the same symptoms. 2. There are very small white bumps on the head of my penis. I never noticed them earlier so i do not know if they been around for years or are a recent facet of my penis. Again these are painless and seem to contain white-pale white semi solid fluid which comes out if i press and burst anyone of these.
I have had dry, swollen, cracked, peeling skin on my eyelids which has become progressively worse over 7 years. Have been prescribed cortisone but only is an overnight cure. Is this exceme? or psoriasis? or allergies? How can I get over this??? HELP!!!
Pityriasis alba is usually present in children while fungal infections and vitiligo may occur in any age. As for the fleshy bumps on the skin, these flesh or skin colored bumps may be associated with common or flat warts, they may be molluscum or skin tags. This may be likely to be common warts as you have noted these to bleed when scratched off. Another differential will be a pompholyx or dishydrosis. However, this presents as itchy bumps on the skin.
Also you may want to google it for molluscum contagiosum virus and then click on images and compare the images to you bumps and see if they look the same. If it does turn out to be mcv then you should probably use different towels and soap then your spouse or partner. The best thing to do is to put a bandage over it and avoid any contact with the lesions with any particals of clothing that may touch other areas of your skin or somebody elses.
I also have on my right leg (right above the knee) a ring of bumps under the skin and the bumps are raised up just a little. I have not gone to the dr as of yet for the ring of bumps on my leg but do have an appt next week. These sores are also on my lower back - as if it is spreading upwards from my buttocks. I have a very red itchy area at the top part of my buttocks.
However, we observed that the place where the red stains appear were replaced by a white discoloration of my son's skin - on the visible on the knees and elbows, few on the front of his lower legs, and back of the thighs. NO discoloration on the other parts of his body and face. my son is scheduled to undergo skin tissue biopsy tomorrow. Is there anyone who have the same problem here?
