Common Questions and Answers about White bumps on lips pictures

bump

Seemingly overnight, largish white bumps (many) have popped up on my outer lips. They don't hurt, the only reason I noticed them was because my underwear seemed to irritate the area a little. Of course I got freaked out, so I've been doing a bunch of research... a lot of the pictures & articles are about tiny white bumps like pimples, but these are large, like pea sized. They're flat & smooth. I am 20 years old, and have had sex with 3 men.
Hello, Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough, but it sounds like oil glands or Fordyce spots. They are small yellowish-white granules on the inner surface and border of the lips. Treatment of Fordyce spots includes CO2 laser or electro desiccation, TCA chemical peels(temporary treatment),diathermy or laser vaporization. For your dry lips, avoid licking the lips as saliva evaporates quickly resulting in them being drier than before.
I have little white bumps on my upper lip under the skin. I don't know what they are and i havent made a doctors appointment becaues i dont want to upset my mom. They're really small and every once in a while one will be above the skin. I've tried to pop them before like zits and occasionally a white pus will come out. They don't hurt, and they are NOT doing any noticable damage to my health but i'm curious as to what they are and if i should be worried.
If this is an STD is there any chance that this tiny white dots on my lips will go away? which doctor should I see, dentist or dermatologist. I dont even have any sores on my genital area. And by the way, I had my HIV test and serologic test for syphilis last june 2006 and both are negative. Hi, Fordyce spots are small (1-5mm), slightly elevated yellowish or white papules or spots that can appear on the lips and inside of the cheeks. They may occur as a solitary lesion or more frequently in crops of about 50-100. Fordyce spots are a variant of sebaceous glands (the glands that normally produce sebum and are usually found within hair follicles). Fordyce spots are sebaceous glands without hair follicles. They are present in 80-95% of adults.
The bumps on the lips look like a lump that is under the skin. In fact, they're kind of hard to even see except that they are making the lips droop and crinkle in a weird way. When I run my finger down the lips, I feel them easily, and they are painful when I press on them (and painful when I don't now too). They look most like a large pimple that is under the skin. I forgot to mention that when I went to the doctor on Sept. 7, I only had 2 bumps on my vaginal lips.
I have gotten multiple white bumps on the lips of my vagina, and near the clitoris. Some are raised like pimples, others are flat round or oblong/rounded shaped white spots. They are ALL white in color. When I showered earlier and scrubbed the area, all of the whiteness came off, leaving just red spots where it had been. They do not look like blisters or ulcers, and I have yet to find a picture of herpes that looks like what I have. They are only painful when I bother at them.
I had what I thought was a cut on the corner of my mouth and I didn't think to much of it until about to days later when it sort of be came a circle on the side of my lip I often lick my lips and they get chapped a little over to the middle of my lip is starting to feel the same way the corner of my mouth did. And no I can see like little white bumps on the corners of both my lips and on my upper lip I don't know what this is I would like a little guidance.
Last night I took a shower and was washing and I felt a ruff spot on the inside lips of the vagina. I look in the mirror and was shocked. I saw a bunch of white bumps in a line on the inside lips at the top along the sides and the bottom. They looked like the moles that people have that hang off the skin but white. I was amazed I never noticed them before, or maybe it just happened a couple days earlier.
-Continuing, I have recently started to notice some marks on my lips and small bumps on the oral mucosa, similiar to the ones seen in this picture (but without the discoloration and pigmentation of the tissue) http://www.pxe.org/virtpat/docs/graphics/lip.gif -The marks I only at first noticed on my lower lip and I dismissed them at first because about 8 days ago I had my teeth bleached and the dentist assistant splashed bleach on my gums and lips causing much burning and scabbing.
So I've had this experience twice now, where i start out with red bumps on my lips which lend a sandpapery feeling to my lips and seep pinpricks liquid if I press my lips together. In a day they are forming small yellow crusts and the corners of my mouth are getting worse. There is a tingling sting on my lips, especially around the borders. The corners of my mouth will be sore and crusty and will split if I open my mouth too wide.
Oh and for those who talked about the white/yellow clusters of bumps on your lips (and inside your mouth/lips),...I think those might be called Fordyce's Spots (or Fordyce's Condition). Google it and look at some of the pics, that might be what you're describing.
Today, 1 day later (September 10th), I noticed that the bumps on my vaginal lips look like they have risen more to the surface, and resemble large pimples. They are also more sore than they had been, although less itchy. I also continue to feel a tingling/tickly sensation under the skin on my vaginal lips. This sensation is different from the itchiness that I was describing, which felt like it was more on the surface and was much more severe of a feeling.
I also just yesterday noticed some little bumps along the edge on my labia minora. I'm setting up an appointment at a free clinic tomarrow but I am very stressed that it might be hpv and I've looked up symptoms and pictures and they don't look similar to mine but i am very concerned...are bumps on the labia minor that resemble taste bubs normal? Is it a symptom of a yeast infection or could it be an std?
Just a little background. I'm 24 years old. I've been monogamous with the same man for over a year. 4 months ago I broke out around my mouth (the right corner), with one bump on the top of my lips and the other on the bottom. It started as a tiny red bump, & when I tried to pop it, it began bigger (but never did discharge anything).
Now these white dots have appeared on my lips. I don't have any pictures of my lips but i hope the info i gave is enough. Can someone please help me. I'm a little uncomfortable with this. Could it be STD's?
Hi For white bumps on the face, differentials may include acne, milia and fungal infections. Milia is a likely differential as these may appear as firm, whitish bumps over the skin. The cause is relatively unknown but they appear to contain keratin plugs or plugs of dead skin. There is no known medical therapy. This condition may persist for quite sometime. Discuss this differential with your doctor.

Another problem I was experiencing at the time and am still experiencing is white bumps underneath my tongue, along my lingual frenulum, and at the very back of my tongue as well. They are quite prominent to anyone who looks in my mouth, and unusual. One of them along the side of my tongue rubbed against my tooth and caused a small chunk of skin on my tongue to open up and caused me some pain and irritation, and then went away.
For the last 20 years I have gotten small red bumps on the sides of my fingers. They don't blister. They start out as one or two and then I might get a few more and they seem to cluster up on only the sides of my fingers. They are not itchy but they are sore to the touch when you run your finger over them. It feels like you have a splinter. They are slightly raised and red in color. They will stay for varying lengths of time and then dry up and go away.

Hello, The bump on lips can be due to folliculitis or boil but for the bumps on penis, warts should be ruled out. Warts are small painless growth on skin caused by Human Papilloma Virus. These can be light or dark. They are usually oval in growth and raised forming rough surface in the skin. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
I did visit the health food store looking for a natural lip balm, and was advised that Vitamin E oil would be safe to put on his lips. Is this safe? We have tried many balms - my worry is that the constant use of those ingredients might be harmful to his little system. Again, thank you for any assistance. I have pictures if there is a way to send.
From my research, as this has been plaguing me as well for 3 months, it could be Fordyce Spots on the lips. I am not a doctor and again advise you to see your healthcare provider. Let me know how you make out.
I have many warts on my hands and I really hope the bumps on my penis arent warts, i was also told by a nurse that the very tiny bumps i have on my lip (that arent noticible unless you look for them) are a form of herpies and i get cold sores quite often (my guess is stress, as i stress a lot). I have an appointment scheduled to get a HPV vaccine (i know its best to get it when youre young but the latest you can get it is 26).
Oh and I looked at herpes pictures of the mouth and lips and they dont look anything like mine. I could easily cover this with lipstick and no one would tell. But Its been 3 days now and still is numb and tingling and stinging and has the white tiny bumps. I dont know what this is do you have any clues?
When the bumps appear, it is usually two at a time sometimes even three (two on the left and one on the right or vise versa). The bumps first swell, the skin on the bump then turns into a pinkish-red color; the bumps sometimes itch as well as become sore. They become soft, and eventually cause a white or yellowish discharge if I mess with them. Then, after two to three weeks they curst over and disappear (then come again a month or two later).
I was invloved in a party lifestyle for a few years and smoked after some people I didn't know, which invloved putting my lips on paraphernalia after others and in direct contact with whatever they may have had. But I don't know if this is related. I know the feelings I am having are associated with herpes, but they do not come and go as sores would. I would not worry so much if they were not so aggitated and growing so fast.
