Common Questions and Answers about When will cozaar generic be available

cozaar

Avatar n tn My MD put me on Hyzaar for hypertension. Previously I had been on Cozaar but she changed it to Hyzaar for the added benefit of the diuretic. I noticed my drug company autosubbed generic Losortan. The bottle doesn't say anything about hydrochlorothiazide being included. Could I be getting the wrong thing, or should I assume some form of hydrochlorothiazide is included?
Avatar m tn I am taking Losartan, which is the generic of Cozaar. Like Benicar (which is not available in generic yet, I believe) it is an angiotensin II inhibitor. There are usually very few side effects associated with these drugs, but their action on the biochemistry of the body is complex, so anything is possible. I have Hashimoto's disease, which means I am HYPOthyroid. Before the Losartan, I was taking 90 mgs of Armour (which is T3 AND T4) daily.
1008841 tn?1293598960 the ARB class). If you look back over the past month this thread should be available. There are a variety of related comments in the thread. I got on Cozaar for my tx induced high BP specifically for this reason! I had read studies about Cozaar being beneficial for ED, Fibrosis, and depression...and asked my GP to switch me from diuretic style BP drugs to the ARB class. I did notice benefits in ED function after a few weeks, and also definitely noticed a more positive mood.
Avatar m tn He is trying to decide if he should wait for the new treatment or do traditional. Is there any news about when the new treatment will be available? He is so discouraged and doesn't know what he is going to be able to manage. Is his likely to continue to feel badly? What can he do for symptoms?
Avatar m tn I have tachycardia and have a lot of questions also. I am taking Cozaar for diabetic kidney problem. Is Cozaar a calcium blocker or and ACE inhibitor. I don't know one from the other. I only know what a beta blocker is. Which I was taking for years and years but now have stopped in order to see if I can wake up. Having terrible problems with falling asleep and being drowsy all the time.
Avatar m tn s had problems with holding her urine. At times it will just come out. She was put on a med. from the Vet. Does anyone know of a generic brand or natural one that will do the same. I can't keep going back paying office visits everytime she needs a new med.
Avatar n tn Can you go have the Cozaar filled at another pharmacy?
798555 tn?1292787551 My daughter is on Nature-Throid, Just asked yesterday at my compounding pharmacy if it was in? Answer was no, not yet! They are suppose to call me as soon as they get the shipment. I'll let you know. Please let me know if you find it. We have enough to get through the first week of December.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know if the generic Harvoni is available in India or Thailand yet as I was told that it would be made available in the last quarter of the year, Im no Einstein but this is the last quarter! Does have any info I can glean some hope from? Frustrated at sweats, no energy, difficulty in thinking and conversing, did i mention no energy, being treated like a second class citizen or at least the stigma of having it! Once I beat hep c, it will just be the Parkinsons to deal with.....
Avatar m tn I think after this month, that will be 3 months on losartin(cozaar), I will see how my blood work is then add vasotec to the cozaar wait 3 months check my blood work and make a decision on dropping cozaar for vasotec. It was first published as far as I can see that losartan reduces fibrosis in 2000, that sure seems much to long a time lag between discovery and clinical use and I'm sure it is that way across medicine.
1801781 tn?1461629469 I am having to switch to the generic version of Lexapro as it is now available. Insurance wants the change and I am OK with it as the cost will be less. My question is has anyone been on it and can they tell a difference??
Avatar m tn By when will the Indian generics of TAF b available in India and Asian markets.
Avatar n tn Cozaar is a medication used for high blood pressure. Amiloretic is a diuretic. Your doctor prescribed these to you for a reason and you should not stop taking either of these medications unless your doctor directs you to. The reason why your feet ankles are now swollen is because you have stopped taking the Amiloretic. And the reason for your headaches is because you have stopped taking the Cozaar. The headaches are likely to be because your blood pressure is now too high again.
Avatar m tn What thyroid medication are you taking and what dosage? Also, please post your thyroid test results and their reference ranges shown on the lab report.
Avatar m tn Sorry, the Walgreen brand is not Cozaar (that is the alias for Losartan). It might be Merck. In any case, I have canceled my Apotex order and going to order from Walgreens again as an experiment.
Avatar n tn The only options available to these patients will be liver transplant...which will cost those patients a huge cost..
Avatar m tn The newer inhalers, or any newer medication for that fact, are more expensive, because they still have their patents (usually for 10 years). When there are generics available then the patent has expired. I would go to a good pharmacy to buy my generics. Who knows what you get online, as it is not regulated. You can try to reduce your asthma symptoms through getting plenty of rest, a good diet and keeping your bedroom clean.
Avatar f tn There are blood tests used to check for markers for generic abnormalities (like t21) that will also tell gender and can be done much earlier, friend of mine found out at 12 weeks. But it's still a new test, don't know if it's available everywhere, and you may have to be high risk already to qualify for it. So that might not be an option for you. Ultrasound gender determination can usually tell about 16-20 weeks.
Avatar m tn If you have questions about a drug that someone suggests you can go to the following site and check the interactions between the suggested drug and the drugs you will be taking. But in the long run, your doctor need to figure out which drug is best for your medical condition and get you on the best drug for you. http://www.drugs.com/interactions-check.php?
Avatar f tn Also check with the drug companies. Under some circumstances the drug companies will help but I'm not sure if they will when you already have insurance available...but it's worth checking. So as not to give BCBS a complete bad rap, I went through TX with BCBS and I paid a total of $15 a month for riba and pegasys. I had no problems with them whatsoever on any of the many bills I had during treatment.
Avatar m tn Thanks for the reply. i am deeply grateful. The generic brands that are readily available in india & vietnam are not as readily available in Nigeria where i live and if available at all, the price will be suffocate an average patient. Somebody mentioned that a weekly dose costs about N96000($600/week) and for a total course of 96 weeks, the cumulative cost will be unbearable for many Can i get it cheaper at your end.
Avatar f tn Plavix is to be taken with precaution in presence of kidney problems. Cozaar is to be avoided or taken with extreme precaution in CHF. This along with low blood pressure could have prompted your PCP to stop these drugs. For a person to have an angiogram he should be medically in a condition to tolerate the procedure and the dye used. Before doing an angiogram the doctors will do an EKG, an echocardiogram and/or chest X-rays. This is a tough situation.
Business man2 Hello, I see the name of the drug in the title of your question, sorry I missed this the first time through. This drug is still available as a generic, it looks like the price of the drug has increased due to higher cost for Walgreens to purchase it. I'm afraid the other drugs available for BPH will probably be as or more expensive than Doxazosin, but I would check with your local Walgreens pharmacist for more price options.
