When running foot leans outward

Common Questions and Answers about When running foot leans outward

foot

Avatar n tn Ever since then, I have had a bad, achy pain in the right side of my knee on the joint line, especially when standing and I pick my foot up. The worst pain is when I rotate my toes outward with my knee bent. It occasionally hurts when decelerating, and definitely when going down stairs. I got an MRI today and am waiting the results, but does this sound like a tear? I know it's not large since the knee hasn't locked, but I do feel a small pop on that side of my knee when I straighten it.
402504 tn?1241996524 Good evening, Is this after you have walked a while and the muscles have tired or overheated OR is this all the time now when you walk? I notice my right foot turns in when I get tired/overheated and the foot drag/drop stops as well. I don't have any answer for you, but I'm sure someone else here will be able to help.
Avatar m tn It is a sharp pain whenever I put weight on it, but it also hurts to try to lift my foot up off the floor. Often times it hurts when I am just sitting and not moving. I cannot bend my foot up or down, and have difficulty moving my toes. The Dr. suggested that it could be some type of nerve damage, but I am unsure of what the symptoms are. Any real help or info would be immensely appreciated. Thank you for your time!
Avatar n tn ve had MS for 22 years and over the last 5 my right knee has locked up and my right foot turns outward. I also have foot drop in the leg. Will breaking the leg help with my knee problem and if not, do you suggest anything that may help. I am considering a stem cell procedure in Costa Rica after speaking with several patients who have had amazing results. You can respond by emailing me at the address I provided below. Thank you kindly.
2112931 tn?1335098402 Hi Sandy, You are describing my gait exactly. I have left sided weakness so it is my left foot that extends outward when I walk which also led to foot drop, making walking very difficult and tiring. I began using a WalkAide to help with the foot drop. Unfortunately the WalkAide did not work successfully for me because it actually made my foot over extend outward. I no longer wear the WalkAide but I am going to physical therapy where I am working on balance, gait, strength and stretches.
338416 tn?1420045702 I've been trying to lose weight the last few months, and it's been very difficult. Every time I lose a pound, I seem to gain it back the next day. So I started running again. At first I started running about seven minutes, until my foot started dragging and I was out of breath. I'm definitely out of condition! Right now I'm up to fifteen minutes before my foot starts dragging. Then I walk the rest of the way.
Avatar f tn Babinksi in normal people means when he stroked the side of your foot with something like a pen, your foot did not turn down as if to grab it, it probably "flayed" outward and upward. Both of my feet do that, turn out and up. No need to be afraid yet. MS doesn't move rapidly usually at onset. The MRI will tell your neuro a lot. He probably is also running blood tests?? to rule out the other mimic diseases that cause symptoms similar to MS.
Avatar m tn i was going to hit a long shot(not punch) bt accidentaly i hit my leg on the groung with no contact with the ball. my foot got bent outward. i thought it might be a minor pain and so i waited for 2 months. but it did not heal. inspite of that i did not go to the doctor because i got a zonal tournament on october. i played the tournament with the injury but it was my luck that i did not get more injured.but still i couldnt hit shots but jst run with the ball and pass.

927832 tn?1244145547 m a healthy 17 year-old boy, but I have a problem when i excercise where my left leg locks up at the knee, my foot turns outward and tilts slightly towards the ground. However when I sit down it stops after about five minutes, but if i resume activity it will return quickly. This happens most commonly when i play tennis, but it also occurs when I run. This has been happening for about a year and a half, and I've been to several doctors with virtually nothing to show for answers.
Avatar f tn About a year ago I noticed the skin between my little toe and the one next to it started peeling away and when wet was flakey and white, since then the dodgy skin has spread to my other toes and my little toe has lost so much skin that it leans underneath the toe beside it. Iv always been terrified of doctors and am extremely embarrassed to show anyone. Iv just moved to Spain which means I wil have my feet out a lot but I don't feel comfortable with people seeing my feet in this condition.
Avatar f tn Im 7 weeks couldn't find my slipper started crying then my husband leans forward in front of me picks up my foot because i was standing on it hormones suck!
Avatar f tn In the end, the strength would never be back to normal. Fortunately, there are other muscles in the foot that help the foot when walking. I would recommend orthotics for stability and a brace to help support the alternate foot while the tendons heel.
Avatar n tn I am suffering from extreme leg and foot cramps at night. A year ago I had back surgery (Laminotomy (Hemilaminectomy), Decompression of Nerve Roots, Partial Facectotomy, Foraminotomy And/or Disc Removal, Lumbar Notes: Minimal access, left sided L5-S1 hemilaminotomy, mesial facetectomy, foraminotomy and microdiskectomy ) copied from my records. For the past couple of months I have been having similar symptoms to the ones prior to surgery.
18870592 tn?1469110523 Same feeling in the morning when I first wake up and the blood rushes to my foot. Foot and ankle appear to operate fine, but when I try to rotate my foot out outward (more so when up or down), its almost like stretching a cut or scabbed up flesh. Tendinitis, tear, thoughts? Thanks.
Avatar m tn at that moment that didnt make much sense to me first because i have choosed the color and i would pay for that anyway , i think i saw her opening a litle box so i thought she was putting new contact leans on me .
Avatar f tn You can try an ice or cool pack to your feet before and after running, foot powder to help, a foot spray for athletes foot. These things have been known to help. New shoes and socks or these methods does often solve the problem for runners. One other note on shoes is that maybe your feet have grown a tiny bit and so your shoes still fit but are tight, all of them. Too tight shoes can cause this. If that doesn't help, I would say that you need to see a doctor at this point.
Avatar n tn The fascia should feel like a tight band along the bottom of your foot when stretched. Hold the stretch for 10 seconds. Repeat it 20 times for each foot. This exercise is best done in the morning before standing or walking." https://orthoinfo.aaos.org/en/diseases--conditions/plantar-fasciitis-and-bone-spurs I'd recommend you consult your dr and consider seeing a physio. Hope that helps......
Avatar f tn It is not a constant sound, but is rhythmatic. For instance, every time my foot hits the pavement while running I can hear/ feel it. It does not hurt, but is an annoyance and worries me. It feels as if something may be slightly moving up and down, but not too much. Does anyone know what this could be?
Avatar n tn Normally the spinal cord is able to move freely when your child bends or stretches but when it is tethered, it is stretched, especially with those movements. This abnormal stretching puts tension on the cord that can cause permanent damage to the muscles and nerves that control the legs, feet, bowel and bladder. Early detection and treatment is important to prevent this from occurring.
Avatar n tn The pain seems to be in my heel only on my right foot though. Feels as if it is bruised. When walking it swells so much that I have to sit down and rest because I can't take the pain in it anymore. Also the back of my left calf feels like I have a constant Charlie horse in it. Is there anything I can do to help have already tried soaking feet and legs in Epsom salt and it had not helped.

233622 tn?1279334905 When they doctor checked my feet my left toes curled down, my right toes flared outward while my big toe pretty much stayed still. Any idea if that is a Babinski? I was not comfortable asking this particular doctor. He is nice but not the one I usually see. He is the director of the MS clinic. He felt I have had a relapse and is trying to figure out if it is from stress or progression. Any idea on the reflex?
