period

Avatar f tn Hi! When is the rigt time to get pregnant? Is it during ovulation? Also, when is the right time to have sex and will not be pregnant? I need basic knowledge about this.
Avatar f tn On med help they a tracker to help you know when the best time to conceive is. Use the ovulation kit and basal thermometer first thing in the morning. I know what you are going through my husband and are have been found this sice last year but have been trying since we got married about 7-8 years ago. I hope this help good luck.
Avatar f tn s a plan that many doctors recommend for conception. Start tracking your cycle. The first day of your period is cycle day one. MOST women ovulate around midway and that average is day 14 or 15. To conceive though, you should begin having sex on day 10 of your cycle and do so every other day for the next 10 days.
Avatar m tn Even in women with irregular cycles, the irregularity is in the weeks before ovulation, not after ovulation. The hormone action necessary to ripen and pop out an egg is antithetical to the hormone changes necessary to produce a period. It takes a little time, and apparently takes a consistent 14-15 days. She wouldn't have been ovulating on the 20th if she got a period on the 21st.
Avatar f tn I ovulate on CD12 usually because my luteal phase is 16 days. Remember, that is the time between ovulation and AF. If you ovulate late, your period will be late because your period is based on when you last ovulated. You will get a period within 12-16 days (whatever your luteal phase is) of ovulation unless pregnant. Phew! Sorry for being so long-winded. Here's to fertility 101!
Avatar f tn Ovulation is the starting event, and the period is the ending event. But then the next ovulation comes again whenever it feels like it, it's up to the brain, not the last period, to send the chemical signals to begin the ovulation process. So though there is a roughly certain time between ovulating and the period that does the clean-up work from it, it's anyone's guess how long it will be to the next ovulation. The period does not start anything, it finishes it.
Avatar n tn I started bleeding little spots on Tuesday but was brown, only really showed as a period on Wednesday, so am I now on day 4 or day 5 of my period?? Also when will my peak ovulation day be??
Avatar f tn that sounds like you are ovulating and sounds right, when your period is late is the best time to take a prego test...each time you have a 20% chance of geting prego so its never a guarantee but it is possible! you can also buy those ovulation tests to check and see if you are in fact ovulating too... and just so you know its never too early to start the prenatal vitamins especially if you are trying to concieve :) good luck!!
543414 tn?1217866667 you would ovulate around 14 days after the first day of your period (which would be July 15th), about 6-10 days later you might experience light spotting (during a time that you are not expecting your period) this is called implantation bleeding. Not all women experience this. All of the articles that I read says about 30% of women experience implantation bleeding. So, you are not trying to get pregnant? Did you finally start your period? For your sake, I hope so. Talk to you later .
Avatar f tn im just tryin 2 figure out which time did i conceive because i have a friend who is really tryin and i keep telling her the wrong thing for ovulation some say 2 weeks before your period some say 2weeks after which 1 is it....
737715 tn?1347791040 The most reliable way to gauge how close you are to ovulation is to watch for the thin, stretchy, egg white, cervical mucus and use those days. AND in a healthy cycle you want to see about 5 days or more of this watery mucus. Good luck!!!
Avatar f tn so when you ovulate is that it untill the next month,i mean if ovulation day is today, and you did not have sex in the last few days, then have you missed it? and whats the most obvious sign of ovulation??
Avatar f tn The problem is, of course, that there is no such thing as everyone being typical and average, some women ovulate early and some have longer cycles than 29 days and some have cycles that are irregular. But it is said by the doc that ovulation leads your next period, rather than following the last (in other words, popping out an egg at day 14 is what makes the period come on day 28, not the other way around that having a period at day 1 would cause ovulation at day 14.
Avatar n tn Sperm are not only in pre ejaculate but also in ejaculate. When the man ejaculates the sperm do not stay in the semen. They begin their travel to the egg. The semen won't stay inside of the woman. It's not supposed to. Don't worry the sperm know what to do. If you are trying to conceive be sure to have sex when you are ovulating.
Avatar f tn Morning-after pills don't interfere with ovulation, they interfere with implantation of the embryo, in a small time window after unprotected sex. The biggest chance you have to know who is the dad from the information you have right now is that the 22nd would be 'rather' late in your cycle for you to ovulate. (Except that you don't always get your period on day 28 or day 30. And though your Clear Blue didn't seem to think so.
Avatar f tn It is important to take your temperature daily (starting cycle day 1- the first day of your period) first thing in the morning and at the same time each day. I hope this helps. Good luck.
Avatar f tn It does it by measuring the crown-to-rump length of the baby, and comparing to a database of other embryos of the same size for whom the dates were known. Medically, pregnancy is counted as beginning at the first day of the last period, so the ultrasound says "your baby is x cms long, which matches a bazillion other babies whose moms had the first day of their last period on [ ] day.
1663460 tn?1327503811 Most women get their period within 12-16 days after ovulation though the average is 14 days (which is where the "2 weeks" comes in). So estimate when your next period will be, then deduct 14 days. If you normally have 28-day cycles then you should expect to ovulate on or around Cycle Day 14 (CD14). Always give yourself a few days before and after that estimation as ovulation can occur sooner or later than expected.
1080032 tn?1326414386 There is alot of ttc stuff on the web and how to get pregnant. But I think the best way is to BD every other day up to the day of ovulation and then bd like 2 times that day. if you need any more help you can send me a message.
391232 tn?1255026870 The soonest is 12DPO by blood and you can take a pregnancy test 5 days earlyer than when you expect your period with an early test.
Avatar f tn I think every woman's body is different - the insert just gives a generalization about when most women will ovulate, but as you can read from different women, their experiences and cycles are very different on Clomid. I would say you're Oing about 14 days before AF like you think - go with your intuition - can you notice any changes in CM during those days?
Avatar f tn ve had the hormone in your system the rest of the days preventing ovulation. You are still safe from pregnancy during the sugar pill phase. They put those in just so that women can really keep up with the routine of taking their pill at the same time every day. So, you should be good to go for Valentines day.
Avatar f tn The earlier the scan the better it is for guessing the conception date. But there's no way to def know unless u go get a dna test...
Avatar f tn Then, her body thinks it over and ovulates again when it feels like it. The lead event is ovulation, the follow-up event is the period, and then the next ovulation could be any-the-hell when. (A woman with random, irregular or long cycles, will be random between the last period and the next ovulation, not between ovulation and the next period.
Avatar f tn So there's a couple different things you mentioned here. Your period and when you're ovulating. Many women don't know when they ovulate because they don't know the signs of ovulation, nor do they track their cycles. Start with what specialmom said and begin tracking your menstrual cycles. There's a great tracking app you can use from this (Medhelp.
1195411 tn?1277328333 Normally ovulation tests will give you 24-48 hrs notice before ovualtion. So that means you prob ovulated on the 20th or 21st. Some women start testing before their period is even due and some just wait until they are two wks late or at least a couple days late. Personally I test before my period is due. Usually between 10-12 days past ovulation a woman can get a + preg test. I know with my second child I got a + preg test only 9 days past ovulation.
