Common Questions and Answers about When do rsv symptoms peak

rsv

Avatar m tn In the paper in the American Journal for Clinical Nutrition , published ahead of print March 31st 2010 you find on the forth page in fig 2 the graph of plasma concentrations of RSV as a function of time in these humans to be dose dependent and having for 500mg (quite a high dose!) found the peak concentration of original RSV at 90min after dosing to be 14.4 nanograms/ml or 14.4 micrograms/liter. Knowing the molecular weight of RSV to be 228g/Mol this translates into 14.

377012 tn?1283965435 the reason i thought it could be pneumonia is because of the way is chest moves when he breathes and because RSV can cause pneumonia to be set up in your system since your system is low especially in toddlers!
1347128 tn?1333810296 My 3 month baby had RSV when he was 6 weeks old, but since then, he has a phlegm sound, that is always there.
689528 tn?1364135841 My husband and I started as soon as I noticed the Stretchy CM and did the dead every other day and then every day the three days around my peak. I think this month I shal do the dead every other day as soon as all signs of AF are gone. Did you cover the basis a few days leading up to cd14?
Avatar n tn My eleven year old daughter has experienced odd symptoms from about four weeks of age. It seems as though she gets everything that comes along. We are frustrated to say the least. The list seems long: -Elevated biliruben for 5 weeks at birth -RSV and double pneumonia at 6wks -ongoing colds and pneumonias (no less than annual) and strep rashes -RSV at age 2 again requiring hospitalization -Age 2-4 spontaneous vomitting on about a 30 day cycle.
593530 tn?1263847957 I brought Brody to his pediatrician last week because he was very congested. After a nose swab was tested it was determined that he has RSV. Since it's a virus it can't be treated with antibiotics, so she instructed me to get a cool mist humidifier and keep his nasal pasages clear by using saline solution. The only symptom he's had is the congestion. There's no fever, coughing, mucous coming out, etc.
Avatar n tn My son is going to be 2 months old soon and a couple of days after he was born they told me he has RSV, i have been in and out of the hospital so many times and he dose not seem to be getting any better. I have read everybody stories and How they lost their loved ones and i am so scared that it might happen to my son. Please is there anything that i can do to prevent this from getting worse???
1368291 tn?1299629804 Well last week my 6yr old was sick all week and before he got sick his cousins at his grandmother's house were. He actually got sick from them while staying there when I had Ryan. The bad thing is on Friday I noticed Ryan getting a little stuffy. Saturday he was having lots of nasal congestion and coughing so I took him to the ER. He tested positive for RSV so the last few days have been scary.
Avatar f tn m on day 22 and starting to feel better. When i asked the same question when i started i got multiple answers. U need to find someone w/ the same drug issue. I had 1 person tell me roughly 3 weeks and he was right. Every drug is different. The people on this site know what their talking about, so use them. Good luck and post when the **** is hitting the fan, it does help!
Avatar f tn I would be really careful my daughter was a preemie and as soon as we got home she ended up back in the hospital with rsv because this is the time of year its out. And because she was so small she almost died and ended up in a childrens hospital for 5 weeks. It was horrible.

1346146 tn?1299360497 My friends daughter got RSV when she was a baby and now she seems to get chronic respiratory infections at least once a year for 5 years now
Avatar f tn He has pneumonia every other month (since birth), he has also had bronchiolitis (without RSV), bronchitis, H1N1, and most currently RSV. When he was two we removed his tonsil and adenoids in hopes to help his asthma symptoms. While it did decrease the amount of sinus infections he had, it did nothing to help any other area. He is on Advair, 115/21 two puffs twice daily, and Allegra (for unknown allergies).
Avatar f tn When my 4 year old had RSV when he was 5 weeks old, also on a vent for 11 days, (he had RSV a second time when he was 2 1/2 in the hospital 5 days no vent.) they said he could end up having asthma. Every time we go see the pulmonologist *sorry if I spelled it wrong, they ask how often does he couh at night. None, doen't cough in the day time either only when he is sick. So from what I was told and understand it does sound like he has asthma.
Avatar f tn Then fever up to 104 and deydration the next took her to the ER they put her on IVs but could not find whats wrong. She has a history of RSV could this be what it is again. I dont know what o do?
Avatar n tn So they peak at night and early morning? So do you mean "lowest" in the late afternoon? I do have a great aunt that had thyroid problems. That's all I know of. I guess I should get some repeat testing.
Avatar m tn Hi guys, On 20th May, I kissed one girl and partially enter without a condom, but I immediately stopped 2 seconds later as i realized i was not supposed to do it. But I got intense headaches and tonsillitis within 24 hours after the exposure, lasting 2 weeks till recovery. On 8th August, i had unprotected sex with a girl. She got similar fever-like symptoms on the morning of the second day. Then she went to doctor's , and the doctor told her it was tonsillitis.
1460967 tn?1512401138 when you got peak day #1 that meant you would O within the next 12-24 hours so I would take peak day #2 or 3 and O day :) Good luck
Avatar n tn I decided after his heart surgery at 3 months to stay at home with him. when he started preschool. I interviewed many preschools. I told them his lenthgy medical history and asked if they would be comfortable takiening him on. 16 of them came right out and said yes. and that was the end of discussion.
Avatar f tn No my daughter gets pneumonia a lot...because she has asthma...when they have it they will have a high fever non stop and usually medicine won't make it go away...also they won't eat when they have pneumonia either... like anything...she probably does have a cold and you can't really do.anything for it except let it go away on its own and try to make her as comfy as possible.
306245 tn?1244384967 He does have some shunting, here is what his cardiologist says in his report. THERE IS A SMALL PFO WITH BIDIRECTIONAL SHUNTING. SHUNTING ACROSS THE PFO IS PREDOMINANTLY LEFT TO RIGHT, BUT THERE IS SOME INTERMITTENT RIGHT TO LEFT FLOW ACROSS THE PFO SEEN ON COLOR DOPPLER AND CONFIRMED WITH BUBBLE CONTRAST STUDY. THERE IS A MILD INFUNDIBULAR STENOSIS WITH A PEAK GRADIENT OF 12-15 MMHG. HIS EKG SHOWS A RBBB QRS MORPHPLOGY. HE DOES HAVE A PECTUS THAT APPEARS TO BE MILD.
Avatar f tn He has always been a little snorty/congested, but when he got a mild case of RSV in February the runny nose never seemed to go away. I have taken him to several allergists. He did have the skin test which came back negative. One doc. said he needed to be treated for nasal infections (each test seemed to show a different bacteria) but after several rounds of different antibiotics I didn't feel comfortable and left that doc.
Avatar n tn having a simple clear runny nose and occasional cough that can be treated at home, to severe difficulty breathing that may require hospitalization. Other symptoms might include a low-grade fever, sore throat, headache, and irritability. Younger children, especially those under 2 or 3 years old, are most at risk for more severe symptoms, such as high fever, wheezing, difficulty breathing, a persistent cough, or apnea. I hope this helps.
