Iam taking 60mg of Cymbalta. I took 30mg at the beginning and after one week raised it to 60mg. I changed from cymbalta to prozac. Cymbalta has terrible side effects and withdrawal symptoms. You must use caution when changing. With my doctor's guidance (and my research) this is what i did to make the change: For the first three days, remove two (2) grains of medication from the capsule. I have experienced both, and the only way i could get off cymbalta without life altering side effects was to take apart the capsules and slowly diminish the amount inside daily until i was almost taking an empty capsule. As far as depression and anxiety go, I would highly recommend Buspirone for anxiety, it was the only thing that helped me. And for depression, i've got backwards and away from SSRI and SNRI's and got to a tricyclic called Amitriptyline.
