what are the best over the counter drugs for Acid reflux? Also what is the best way to treat it?

s of which this med is one...tend to work slowly...4 days is not enuff time to see improvement.U may need 4 weeks depending on how bad ur acid was prior to staring the meds.

I tried it but didnt seem to help with me. Again I am like u i think it is like prevacid with sodium. I just make u burp alot and I was on the powder ahich tasted horrible.

Then I became sick with bronchitis and needed to take an antibiotic and had to stop taking the Zegerid for about a week. Upon continuing the Zegerid I have had increasing typical acid reflux symptoms, to the point of waking me up at night. I have a question. Are drugs in the benzo family ever used to treat seizures? As in Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, Ativan, Restoril, etc? I have simple partial seizures and was on xanax on an "as needed" basis to control some nervousness about going back to college. I was on it for about 2 months. Hi,..it is possible after time that PPI's stop working for u and can cause issues...I used Prilosec for yrs....when I had flare ups...my last flare it no longer worked...I now take a H2inhibitor instead and it works soooooo much better for me. Not all meds work for everyone.....so we do have to try them and as soon as u have a reaction or side effect call ur dr. BTW- there r H2I's that r OTC...

Well, you should NEVER stop medication on your own without notifying your doctor. Do you have a mood disorder or bipolar? That is really important to treat. Talk to your doctor. Seroquel works well instead of Abilify as you know (why did you change?) but there are others in the same class of drugs as well that are good medications. There are several to choose from. Seroquel is one and if it worked before, no reason to change. But that is between you and your doctor.
