ve also been on Vagifem for 2 years and love the effect, however, my last ultrasound showed a build up of the lining of my uterus, so now I need an endometrial biopsy. My doctor said it could be from the Vagifem which is estrogen without progesterone. I just read the leaflet and it does say that if you have a uterus, you should discuss adding progesterone to your regimen to counteract the possibility of the vagifem causing this lining buildup.

I've been taking Vagifem for 2 years without a progestin, and now I have to undergo an endometrial biopsy because of some buildup of the lining of my uterus (I have no bleeding....it showed up on an TV ultrasound...small changes and endometrial thickness of 5mm).
I have been prescribed 2x daily Vagifem tablets as part of a fertility treatment with Clomid. I have been told that should I fall pregnant I would have to continue this treatment for 6 further weeks (~8 weeks treatment with Vagifem in total).

Your tissues are so dry that they cut and bleed with any friction. Luckily, there is a remedy. A vaginal estrogen pill (Vagifem) or cream (Premarin) can be inserted into the vagina on a regular basis and it will help rebuild the tissue and prevent this type of dryness. I personally prefer Vagifem because it is less messy and each comes in its own applicator. You will still need to use something like Astroglide duirng intercourse to have even better results.

There are sloughed epithelial sheets in my urine. I think that they have come from the urethral epithelium. Is it normal that there are thick epeithelial sheets in the urine sediment? They cannot be from vagina.
The vaginal smear showed plenty of squamous epithelial cells (due to local estrogen). There were also some crystalline formations, maybe from gloves or from Lactal balans or Vagisan. The concretions were much like some CaCO crystals but also resembled those of starch (from gloves).

Has anyone else suffered the dreaded Vaginal Atrophy. Have been prescribed Vagifem which is helping a little. Main problem for me is burning after urination. What I want to know is how long before the surgery should we use the estrogen (I have both vagifem and estrace cream)? I had a hysterectomy, total and done vaginally, in Oct 2009, then bladder fell 2 months after, had the cystocele repaired and then around 6 weeks later the rectum and top of vaginal vault fell.
Hello again, I forgot to ask this in my prior post regarding Vagifem. I exercise a few days a week with weights...is it okay to continue lifting weights now that I know I have a cyst on my ovary or could I be risking having it rupture? Is cardio okay to do? Thank you all.

Crinone is progesterone which is given to support for the lining of the uterus and is needed to maintain an early pregnancy. Hi there, don't know much about Vagifem side effects but I do know about fibroid tumors and ovarian cysts. Was your pelvic pain on one side or the other? I know that ovarian cysts can cause bloating and back pain. By "TV" do you mean vaginal? What is your GP going to biopsy if they don't know what is in there? I had my uterus removed for several fibroid tumors and am now dealing with ovarian cysts.
I am a 53 year old female who has had 5 UTI's since Dec 09.When I finish all the antibiotics it comes back. within 2 weeks. Dr. I drink at least 1 quart of water daily. I take cranberry pills,&wipe front to back. I have been on Vagifem since May, sex was painful & still is not like my younger days. I do urinate after. 03 mg my dr checked my blood hormones levels and wants me to try estratest for a month along with vagifem//i had been feeling good on the menest other than getting a uti,which i started bactrim 2 days ago and my anxiety is out of this worlld and im tired but cant sleep...would this be from switching estrogens> I was only on menest for 1 month and had not been on any estrogens for 8 years....
It can really help with the burning and itching. I have also used Vagifem, which is a tiny tablet that comes with a slim applicator - no mess! When we go thru menopause those delicate areas can really take a beating and even if we take systemic estrogen those areas can still need some applied right there.
