Common Questions and Answers about What is the drug vesicare used for

vesicare

1188179 tn?1350116119 I have been on Ditropan, then Ditropan XR (or EX, don't remember which is correct) and after about 10 years that didn't work, so my doctor put me on Enablex and that works pretty well. Then I got a new Dr. and he wanted to switch me to Vesicare. That didn't work well, either, and I began having episodes of incontinence and urgency again. It's almost open enrollment for Medicare Part D, and the plan that is the most affordable otherwise doesn't cover Enablex at all anymore.
Avatar m tn So I am now back on the vesicare and the fluoxetine. I have been on them for almost 4 weeks and while my frequency has improved I still have discomfort and tightness in my genital area. Is this a concern? Also will I get back to where I was previously and I long should I stay on the meds before I switch to something else to completely get rid of my symptoms. I would greatly appreciate any help and encouagement, especially if someone else has been through a similar senario. Thanks.
Avatar f tn can someone please tell that which medicine works best for OAB ........VESICARE,ENABLEX OR DETROL LA..........I m male and 29 yrs old ,can i also take detrol la.....Any response should be highly appreciated..........
Avatar f tn this is known as off labeling...where a drug is intended for one purpose but used for another....in this case insomnia......
Avatar f tn I had to switch to a really high fibre diet (like 35g of fibre) from a food list from the dietician. Not all fibre is good, for example some is better for diarhea such as oats. I tried benefibre it didn't work for me either. Bran and grains are the best according to the hospital. I now take flax oil, and ground flax seed, in smoothies with berries juice and yogurt in the morning, followed by lots of water.
Avatar m tn but, it helped a great deal...but, I am uncertain as rather the Vesicare and/or the Elmiron is causing my blood pressure to raise....or if it is the combination of the two medications.... I have tried Detrol and Detrol LA and, neither of those help me....and, there have been wayyyy to many nights that I don't get sleep because, of the pain and, the constant going to the restroom during the night...
Avatar n tn Hi, The bladder spasms can make the bladder wall contract even before the bladder is completely full making the patient visit the toilet frequently. The muscle relaxants like vesicare are used for the treatment. However other methods can also be used like avoiding drinking things that act as bladder irritants such as sodas, alcohol or coffee. In some patients, electrical stimulation is applied to the nerves controlling spasms to make them relax.
Avatar m tn Started me on Levaquin 500mg PO QD x 7 days and Vesicare 10mg PO QD.The cyst went down but the pain around the epdidymis persisted w/ no change. After 4 weeks of Vesicare I still have no change in my nocturia. I had an ultrasound of my bladder, testicles, kidneys all normal. I then had a cystoscopy done which showed no abnormalities besides a tight sphincter. My urologist told me to continue the Vesicare which I have been doing.

Avatar n tn Ok here goes: I'm 28/female, pretty healthy ... on 10/6, about 1 week before I was to leave for Vegas I was extremely nervous about flying. Out of the blue I started having frequent urination problems. No urgency (meaning I could hold it if I had too) but just frequent trips to the bathroom. No real pain or anything. I have an underlying anxiety disorder that is not controlled and I did start to panic about these symptoms which in turn probably made them worse.
Avatar f tn WELL IT DOES A BIT IT DOES NOT KEEP THEM FROM COMING BACK IT IS EXPENSIVE THOUGH MY PLAN DOES NOT COVER THIS ONE
Avatar f tn Hi Guys, This is my next try to help with burning and bladder and urethral spasms which are painful and sometimes cause urinary loss. After this next try is the Botox. I was just wondering if anyone on this forum has had experience with this drug and if it helped them. I know we are all different and our reactions are different, I am just hoping it works without too many side affects.
Avatar m tn It did not help and the urge to urinate is there all the time and there is tightness in the bladder. I also took Celebrex for few days and it helped a little bit. i am also taking EZ tea but nothing is working. Please let me know if surgery would relive all the symptoms and what other options do I have? Can I take effexor with Flomax and vesicare as I had anxiety disorder and use to take effexor before but stopped it about 1 year back.
Avatar f tn Well it appeared to be working, so when I saw my urologist, I told him for the most part it is working. Before I started the Diamox, my bladder kinda went back to the old dysfunctional way. Not completely but the freaquency came back, urges, alittle of the leakage, not as bad, the urge to go and cant, are back. Has anyone ever had this happen to them, and what could this mean? Should I go back to see my Doc? I'm so sick of being sick. I'm so over it. its not funny.
Avatar n tn I came across some soma and really do not know what it is for. is it a narcotic? is it addictive?
Avatar m tn I'm using Vesicare and Lyrica and I just got my urinalysis result and they're normal. Can Vesicare and Lyrica affect urinalysis? Are they antibiotics?
Avatar n tn About four months, I had symptoms that were consistent with a UTI (burning during urination, frequent urination, lower back pain). I went to my PCP and although the urinanalysis showed nothing, my PCP put me on Cipro. After a week of that, I still had symptoms, so I went back. I had a pelvic exam and did another urinanalysis (again negative). My PCP gave me an antispasmodic and a numbing pill for the burning sensation (I don't remember the name of it, but it turned my urine orange).
Avatar n tn But i have noticed I am really tired all the time now and i developed a very sore throat - especailly in the morning. I think these are related to the increase of the tablet. Any other medications I can try?
338416 tn?1420045702 The good news is that I'll be seeing the PCP tomorrow for my wellness exam - I'm going to talk to him about my possible thyroid imbalance, so I can mention this too. Today I feel a lot better, aside from some soreness around that area. It's like it got a really hard workout last night! Too bad it wasn't more fun.
