Tramadol....exactly what is it? I know it is a synthetic agent of codeine, but it is not considered a controlled agent. My Doc and I are discussing my detox in 2 weeks, and he is giving me the 10 day supply of Xanax and Valium, but he also wants me to take Tramadol for the pain. If this is an addictive drug, I will refuse to take it. But is it? All I keep seeing on the net is that it's a analgesic. But I have also read that Tramadol is approximately 10% as potent as morphine.

This does not sound STD related and if it is it didn't come from your boyfriend. So if you have never had sex before then it can't be a STD and overall like I said this does not sound STD related. You would have to see a Dr for proper diagnosis. If you do see a Dr come back and update us on the diagnosis.

what does synthriod do? other than regulate your energy. what other functions does it help control in the body. or feelings, in the body. want to know, starting on it soon after total tyroid removal. 6 days after now. thanks for all info.

What does your Dr. think you should do? I'm sure he or she will be glad to advise you when he goes over the report with you. It isn't wise to try to interpret these results yourself.

My 6 year old son claps his hands when over stimulated. He is doing wonderfully in his academics and is pretty social. He was the only kindergartener last year that was in our school's musical. It does not hurt when i wake up, but seems to hurt later in the day and at night all the time. It is not aweful pain, but enough to bug me. does anyone know what this could be?

Hi there...welcome to the forum. I'm sorry you are going through a rough time. If I can ask you....do you actually faint? As in lose consciousness? If so....that may be an indication of another problem besides anxiety. While anxiety certainly makes a lot of people very dizzy, lightheaded, with the FEELING as though they are going to faint....my psychiatrst had informed me that actual real loss of consciousness is RARE from anxiety alone.

Well, the only good way to test for herpes is to take a swab from an active outbreak. There is a blood test, but it isn't as specific or as accurate as an active swab. Does your boyfriend know for SURE that the STD panel they did recently included a herpes test? They often don't, unless you specifically ask. Therefore, he could have been clean from the things they did test for (like chlamydia and syphilis), but they might not have tested for herpes.

Since you have not had sex for almost a year, this does not seem to be std related. The only thing you can do is see a doctor and get tested for peace of mind.

Had you been ill prior to it? What kind of doctor did you see and did they do any tests at all? How often do you get it and how long does it last? Does anything bring it on or is there anything that relieves it? Maybe if you haven't tried one yet, you should see an ENT specialist. Sometimes we have to keep searching when something is wrong. Just because a doctor didn't find what's wrong doesn't mean there isn't something going on.
