I am a 29 yr old male, had a superficial duodenal ulcer in 2005, My doc had suggested Rabeprazole sodium 20mg which worked well then, he suggested i use it when ever i felt stomach burning or nausea. I have been using Rabeprazole for 5 years now, was workin good, recently my symptoms were back and i started taking 2 doses 20mg each daily.
Can my mom take 40 mg of pantoprazole instead of 20 mg
of teva-rabeprazole because she is out of teva-rabeprazole. It is extremely
dangerous to substitute one drug for another. Your mom needs to go back
to the doctor who prescribed her the teva-rabeprazole and tell him or her
that her prescription is finished. The other drug you're asking if your mother
should take i.e. the pantoprazole is also twice the amount of the other.
Tried Omeprazole 40mg, Pantoprozole 40mg, nexium 40mg, rabeprazole 20mg with domperidone, vocinti 20mg.
I was on omeprazole 10mg, then pantoprazole 20mg and then rabeprazole 20mg. in total I was on PPIs for 3 months.
I did change my diet to be more GERD friendly as advised by my dr, no acidic/spicy/oily food and no coffee/tea/chocolate/mint.
I also had an ultrasoundndone on my stomach, liver and digestive tract as well as a full blood test, thyroid was found to be normal.
My gastro doc put me on Rabeprazole for 1 month. During this window period of 1 mth is it going to be normal and safe to experience such hardcore symptoms? Says here on my paper "Principle Diagnosis: Erosive Esophagitis" apparently he talked to me a little when I was sedated so I pretty much can't even remember holding any conversation with him. He then left the hospital so I feel quite lost here right now (I've told him my entire long story above too).
I`m taking Rabeprazole 10mg but the recommended dosage is 20mg in the US. I`m tall and weigh more than the average Japanese person, though I`m not fat. I`ve been taking it for about 3 weeks and I still have the saliva problem but it seems a little better.
I also have allergies and am wondering if I should see an allergist about this problem, the saliva.
Nothing I have seems to help much, I have been taking rabeprazole 20mg once a day for almost a month with no results, gaviscon doesn't seem to help at all, tums make me feel sicker; nothing takes away the pain and burning.I have lost almost 40 pounds and continue to lose weight.

ve said that rabeprazole helped. Rabeprazole is an anti-acid drug, not antibiotic. From this you can conclude that the problem is increased acid secretion, most probably from gastritis. There are two reasons why drugs like rabeprazole fail after some time: 1. you become resistant to it, and need higher dose 2. That H. pylori which maintains gastric inflammation.
Hi All, I am a 30 year old male suffering from obssessive thoughts, I had a stomach ulcers 6 years back and i use Rabeprazole 20 mg daily as a maintenance therapy, My GP suggested escitalopram (Lexapro 10mg) daily, after 2 weeks using the medicine i feel much better and my thoughts have come down, however 2 weeks into the medication i started having severe stomach burning sensation especially in the upper stomach behind the breast bone and the center of the rib cage, i recognise its the same fee
Although this is the worst the abuse has been ( and my law school finals are weeks away) I do have a serious problem and need help to fix it. NA is out of the question. I have quit before, but the longest I made it was three weeks. I don't want to stop taking the drug, I just want to be able to take the amount prescribed.

NA is not a religious organization, it is a spiritual program. The higher power ia one of our conception, as long as it is a power greater than us as individuals. You are just like many others who are wiher aetheist or agnostic, but the steps work for those classifications as well as they do for any religious person. AA and NA have kept me sober for 16 months, it works i you work it.
I started 90 meetings in 90 days while still in wds but everyones situation is differant. Just remember that na makes very specific suggestions on what they feel it takes to stay clean,,daily meetings for 90 days,a sponser,phone calls and working the steps. Doing part of this will keep you clean for awhile but their suggestion is that you do all to continue to stay clean by changing your life. Narcotics are what brings people to na,,changing their life is why they stay.

I hope this doesn't stop you from returning...try a different mtg...as they all have a little different feel and you have to find one where you feel comfortable at.
I know it took a LOT of courage for you to go...good for you....keep on working it...
