thank you for the help...ulcer is what I was thinking as well, but I thought the prevacid would help it. I have not had any blood test or any test yet, hopefully the END test will show.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF PREVACID USE WITH HEP C? SINCE ITS EXPENSIVE IS THERE A GENERIC FORM?

I have been on Prevacid, 30 mg, twice daily, for about a month. It finally seemed to kick in after 4 weeks and I had 5 glorious days of no acid, or very little. I then reduced my dosage to one 30mg capsule daily. Within two days the GERD came back full force! Is it better to go back to two pills? Is it common that it would come back so strong? I'd rather take the two capsules again than have this! Ugh!

this is known as off labeling...where a drug is intended for one purpose but used for another....in this case insomnia......

Not being familiar with the properties of Strattera what does it do . .is it a muscle relaxer as it works for his ADD condition? Just curious as i really don't have an answer but trying to figure it out with you .. there are some other great people here who may have ideas and even some products outside of Prevacid are mentioned in the archives worth looking into perhaps. Could it be the combo of the two meds are causing the reflux ?

I continued to have lot of gas. I had a blood test and said that I had H.Pyloric. I am not sure I understand just what it is. How serious it is. What other complications can acurr from having it.Is it something that can recurr. Please any thing that you can tell me about h pyloric would be appreicated.

I was on prevacid for about a week or two, then I noticed that I was getting really tired and on Monday night, I was having slurred speech, really tired, weak, feeling depressed and anxious I couldn't sleep at all Monday night, and I was really confused. and I was only taking 15mg once a day. Have been on Prevacid for over years and recently developed irregular heartbeats. Hi. I take Prevacid, which is a little pricey, even with insurance. However, there is another one, Aciphex, which was about 30 dollars cheaper. I am back on the Prevacid as the Aciphex didn't work as well ( for me...I was on Prevacid for years and only switched because of the cost...65 dollars). You may want to ask about that. Also, I was told my pharmacist that otc prilosic works well too.

I don't think my mouth is dry. My experience is like there is a vapor of some sort coming up from my stomach into my mouth. It is not painful, it is not heartburn, just something unpleasant. At first I blamed it on my vitamin pill but it still happens on days void of vitamin pills. I am suppose to put 4 hrs between Synthroid and any calcium, fiber and Prevacid.
