I read the other threads regarding "twitching" in an eye and that is what originally led me to this site. I am 59 years old. I weigh 110 pounds. I am 5 foot 6 inches tall.
My eyes constantly have redness in them, mostly the outsides & the left one is more red than the right. How do I get rid of the redness in my eyes (without powerful medication). I'm already using an anti-allergy drop (Zaditor) which doesn't help THAT much. I've used Patanol before too. How can I get rid of the redness?
He has been on an oral antihistimine (claritin) for many years and uses Patanol and theratears. He was told he could no longer wear contact lenses (that's fine) and hasn't since his diagnoses. There is little change to his GPC even after using a prescription eye drop with steroids and antibiotic. His opthamologist never asked if he used any face cleanser. He uses a 10% Benzoyl Peroxide wash, in addition to Clearasil pads.

My doctor told me to use Patanol and Xiloial together. But she said İ should use one of them first, then apply the other. Cuz one of them is gel or whatever. But now i cant remember which one she said that İ should use first. Can you please help me?
Hi Doctor, I am still not sure what it is called but the laser procedure was to put holes in my iris.Sorry I used the wrong term before .My eyes have been tested and only thing recommended was a simple reading glasses of +.50 .I will check with doctor again and will certainly take this printout with me.

It looks like you are allergic to dust and dust mites which is responsible for causing air borne allergies as well swelling and congestion of the eyes.Yes dust can cause such symptoms in eyes.
For now you can take some over the counter antihistaminic like as Cetirizine(zyrtec) or Loratadine(Claritin) to get symptom relief. Short courses of oral cortisone or steroids are taken for short periods (one to three days) to settle more severe symptoms.
The culture will likely come back negative due to being on antibiotics for so long. My guess is that you may have a chronic lid problem that is causing eye irritation. Possible blepharitis or lid margin disease. It is ok to culture now - probably will be no growth or possible some type of resistant bacteria. You may need more attention directed to the eyelids as the source of the problem.
