It is not all the time, mostly in the evenings. I do not know what is causing this but i wonder would it be the fact that an not eating much in the last two weeks. (I am not starving myself) i am just VERY VERY worried about something and can not eat. I am eating 1 meal every 1-2 days. Would not eating cause my symptoms?

i was on pantoprazole 40 mg daily and every time i try to dc for a month or two the gerd settles in and heart burn starts in episodes about 2-4 times daily
so i eventually returned to ppi , every while i try to lower the dose to 20 mg for a period till i get the feeling of a slight discomfort so i return to the 40 mg dose again

I had developed gastritis last september due to excessive intake of antibiotics as i developed stomach flu prior to gastritis. the doctor prescibed acidity tablets for a month. i was feeling ok for a few months then suddenly i developed nausea a week ago and the doctor prescibed tinidizole with acidity tablets. i took for 3 days along with my homeopathy medicine but i still feel heaviness in my head when i lie down so im not able to sleep. kindly advice me what to do.
I am being weaned from pantoprazole with ranitidine. It seems that now that we have reached the pantoprazole every third day stage, I am getting weekly bouts of diarrhea, especially if I drink more than one cup of coffee. Is this a side effect? The diarrhea wakes me at night.
You should start to feel better within 2 to 3 days. It may take up to 4 weeks for pantoprazole to work properly so you may still have some symptoms during this time.
Doctors prescribed to many antibiotics which led to my acid reflux. Got on pantoprazole for the reflux, it’s been working great but in the last week I’ve had this pins and needles sensation in my legs feel nauseous and I can’t seem to shake that somethings wrong with me. Welcome to the gastroenterology community! Tecta (which from my research, I believe is Pantoprazole) is a PPI and Zantac is a H2 blocker, so the answer most likely is that, yes you can take both of these together, but I would still recommend checking this out with your doctor.
gave me a very heavy duty antibiotic which got rid of that, also gave me Dexalant for the burping, which I had to stop taking because it gave me diarrhea, then she gave me a prescription for pantoprazole sodium Dr. 40mg instead, which I have been taking for a few weeks & that hasn't helped either. The burping is constant, even during the night when I get up to go to the bathroom.
Then I started having stomach pains and I was put on the antacid pantoprazole and a stool softener for constipation. After about a month and a half I was feeling so good I stopped taking the pantoprazole after consulting with my doctor. A week later I was having bad GERD and went back on it. I still don't know what initially caused the bloating, why it ramped up to GERD so quickly off the medication, and how damaged my LES is now.
Having diarrhea after antibiotics is not rare, but also not normal. I recommend you to have stool test for C-diff and for occult blood.
Having problems with breathing is probably from the acid coming up into your throat and then down into lungs. You should fix this promptly, it may damage your lungs (aspiration pneumonia, with lung scars).
There's another possibility - alergy to one of antibiotics. Would you say you have any lips or face swelling or skin itching?
It all depends what the underlying cause is and if it is treated....for me, I am able to go long periods and not need the meds....and if I want to eat things that I know will cause it to flare up, I take a pill b4 I eat (approx 1 hr b4) so that it does not affect me.
Certain meds or illnesses can cause it to flare back up as can stress.
Only ur Dr can tell u if this can be managed in a short time...but u have to do all the other things, diet, lifestyle...exercise...eat healthy...
I was on this for three months then my prescription was over. During my time off of pantoprazole I noticed sharp abdominal pains, nausea, bloating, and a general unwell feeling. I saw a GI who didn’t offer much insight but scheduled a colonoscopy/endoscopy and put me back on pantoprazole 40mg. During my time awaiting my procedure, I didn’t have abdominal pains unless I was extremely bloated, gassy, or nauseas which were almost nightly occurrences.
Is anyone else suffering the same symptoms as me? What do you do about it? Im very concerned as Im in a lot of pain,it keeps flaring up too. I have pain soon after I eat in a morning. It starts like a pulling in my oesophaghus. It feels like something is stuck there. It hurts a lot and I can't swallow without it hurting. It feels like a pressure there and it also feels inflamed and bloats all the way up from my stomach.
The diarrhea is sticky and either black or grey and it burns. I tested negative for occult blood. Rarely with the dry heaving fits do I vomit, but when I do it is dark purple or greyish. I have been on different antispasmodics which didn't help and was on omeprazole but it took about 8 a day to ease any pain. I am currently on imipramine and pantoprazole but the imipramine only seems to help if I'm also on pantoprazole.
But no instructions were given on how to proceed after that. After the pantoprazole was finished i was fine for about 2-3 months (feb 2016 to may 2016). But then the symptoms came back. Not the sharp pain but discomfort. So I started taking zantac again. As soon as it got better I reduced the dosis to no medicine. After being frustrated that the discomfort came back all the time I went back to a GI dr to why it wouldn't go away.
Pantoprazole is the only thing that works for me. My mom is a dialysis patient and had some at home (40mg). I asked my doc & she said it was fine to take.
So here's my story. I never had heartburn before in my life. I was prescribed 40mg of prednisone for 5 days and was never told to take an antacid or ppi while I was on it. Fast forward to the 6th day I was woken up to chest pain and my heart fluttering. I wasn't sure what it was and couldn't fall back asleep until hours later. I went to the ER two days later for the chest pain and they gave me an oral steroid to take along with 2 weeks worth of famotodine to take.
