Common Questions and Answers about What is nasacort aq nasal spray

nasacort

Avatar f tn Hi, I use Nasacort, which is a steroid nasal spray, but I'm not always good at using it.
Avatar f tn What kind of nasal spray? Is it a prescription like Nasacort or Flonase or the OTC stuff like Afrin? If it's Afrin that is not supposed to be used all the time, it's really bad. If your nose is bleeding, that could be an infection or maybe from the spray. I'm not sure about the blood pressure. I think you should try to wean off the Afrin. You are probably having what's called *rebound* congestion. Read the label on it. It tells you not to use for more than 3 days.

8827391 tn?1400247234 I currently have the same issue i work in a pharmacy and I verified with my pharmacist he who also has 5kids he said that Sudafed is a class C which means there are no studies bad or good on it so I could take that, but for me that was a no he did however suggest nasacort nasal spray I decided I would wait it out and suffer through id rather avoid using anything as much as possible
Avatar f tn Thanks. I did have a cold and the Dr. gave me a sample nasal spray called Nasacort. I tried it for 11 days straight and didn't get any good results so I just quit using it. I'm going to try it again, maybe this time it will work. I would like to smell again. Thanks for your input.
Avatar f tn I was wondering if any of you on the site who have Hep C, who have ever had experience with using a prescription allergy medicine that is a nasal spray? I had taken Flonase in the past, never really cared for the backwash it has. But, I've been seeing an allergist because my allergies have really bothered me this year. He prescribed a medicine that is a nasal spray called Astelin.
Avatar f tn I have my appointment next monday but i dont know if i can wait that long to ask what i can take for them. Is there anything at all i can use for nasal allergies? I feel like im dying from these sneeze attacks ive been having.
428185 tn?1203741789 Hi back - I think I'm allergic to dust/pollen/mold. Tried antihistamines and they work but screw up urination - having prostate cancer surgery soon so that may fix the antihistamine problem, but they also kind of sedate me, which I don't like, and make my private parts shrivel up. Decongestants rattle me and raise my BP.
Avatar m tn You can get it OTC in Nasacort nasal spray. Just spray you know where a few times in the evening (when it itched the most fir me). Five days later and everything is gone. Like a miracle.
Avatar f tn But my throat is dry, mucus is constantly draining down the back of my throat from my nose, my nasal passages and my lymph nodes are swollen 24/7. And today when I blew my nose,(I have to blow a little hard cause the mucus is very thick and gets stuck most of the time) the mucus was thick, almost solid with blood in it. What is usually the cause for this? Is it something to be alarmed about?
Avatar f tn Thank you. All of those possibilities make sense, esp. post-nasal tissue swelling (which is exactly what it FEELS like.) And I'm sure I AM sensitive to any degree of nasal obstruction, since I'm never able to breathe out of my nose well in the first place, even when I'm not sick. And I will ask the GI specialist about spasms, and what what might be wrong with my voice. (And unfortunately I'm not usually ABLE to inhale through my nose, or else I would try that also...
895401 tn?1302792967 I was using an inhealer for awhile this past month, really trying to get my asthma under control. What I found works for me is getting a nasal steriod spray, like Rhinocort Aqua, Nasacort, etc., After I started using this at night it opened up my nasal areas ( which I did not realize were clogged), then I use the mouth inhealer in the mornings and that seems to work for me. Since I don't know your situation, please make sure that you don't stop using any medication and have a attack.
Avatar f tn hi there, my husband is about to have sinus sugery, he is having a septoplasy and a fess (maxilary) did you have anything similar to this? i am looking for advice for him as he is very concerned about having this done. (he has inflamation in the sinuses and has constant sinus infections, suffering on a daily basis) i notice you say you have had 2 done and now possibly needing another one, yet you are still suffering infections on a regular basis. i would be so grateful to hear from you.
Avatar f tn So I heard I'm not suppose to use nasal spray, but I get real bad congestion every day all day idk why. And the doctor said I could use it. But my question is how often and andybofy had problems when using them?
Avatar n tn She gave me Nasacort and sent me on my way. I used the spray as instructed and it actually seemed to help after about a week. I would say that I was feeling about 95% "normal." A week later, however, the symptoms returned as bad as ever. I tried the Nasacort again with no effect. This lasted for about a month before I really began to worry that there was something serious going on. I began having tremors, which I now fully believe were caused by anxiety over the symptoms.
Avatar f tn If it's,allergies you could take benadryl. That helps me when im sick and stuffy.
Avatar f tn The only thing that allows me to breathe is a nasal spray equivalent to afrin. I used to be addicted yrs ago but now I only use it in dire emergency....like before eating or bed because I can't sleep if I can't breathe through my nose. In the past 3 days I've only used it at night and a couple other times during the day when it was really bad! I try to hold off as long as possible without using it. And I only use 1 or 2 sprays and usually only in 1 nostril.
1646392 tn?1333251893 I did some research last night after posting this and found out that Rhinocort AQ is nasal spraty steroid that is a category B, the only one. I am going to ask my doctor tomorrow for a script. I don't care if insurance doesn't even cover it, I will pay whatever for some relief. I will also ask about the 4 way spray as well too. Thanks for your help!
Avatar n tn I used a prescription nasal spray stronger than afrin and my one month old is healthy and happy. :) I used it during most of my pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Yes it it safe I had a cold and the doctors still recommend nasal spray for me!
772218 tn?1249131067 Routine use of a nasal steroid spray can be very effective in decreasing inflammation in the nose and sinuses along with mucus production. When a nasal steroid spray is used regularly it can prevent inflammation. However it does not provide immediate relief of symptoms. It may need to be used every day for several weeks to months to notice improvement in the symptoms. To get the most help from any nasal spray first do a nasal wash to remove mucus from the nose and sinuses.
