I used mometasone furoate (a topical steroid cream) last night (for the first and ONLY time) on the base of my penis due to a minor skin allergy. Additionally, my wife and I are currently trying to conceive. When my dermatologist gave me the prescription for the mometasone furoate she knew I was trying to conceive and said it was OK to use.

Used mebhydrolin,cetrizine,fexofenadine, for prophylexis,got result but no complete recovery. Taking mometasone masal spray, got result, but not complete respite. How to get rid of it?

This sounds like irritation, for which mometasone, a mild steroid, is a good treatment. 5 days is about right. Redness can last for a couple of weeks after irritation goes away. You should ignore it. If the burning returns, try the mometasone again for a couple of days. Stay in touch with your doctor for further advice. I have never really paid to much attention because it never hurt, burn, hitch, nothing. what i see is redness and some red spots which come out if i get an erection. i then decided to go to see a doctor few months ago. I must inform you about the fact that I have been regularly using Melacare for the past 3 years and I read from few articles on the net that , prolonged application of mometasone creams can lead to skin atrophy since memetasone is a steroid. Now my question what can I apply to reverse this skin atrophy condition or will this actually self-heal the natural way ? would be very grateful to you if you would let me know at the earliest possible time. this is known as off labeling...where a drug is intended for one purpose but used for another....in this case insomnia......

what are some ways to get rid of this rash because everything i read says antibiotics dont work for this type of rash but that is what my dermatologist has prescribed me?

Greetings, I've recently went to a doctor because of a possible hemorrhoid problem. The skin around the anus was also red. He prescripted me a meconazole nitrate 2%-hydrocortizone 1% cream for the rash but I don't see it getting better! And do believe me this is much more annoying than the hemorrhoids themselves as I cannot freely move, go to the toilet or even touch it! The whole area is red with a pale red line in the middle of it!

Thanks for Your answer! My problems started in 2016 november. I began using Mometasone (Elocon 0.1%) intermittently for 1 year, 'cos there was two, 2-3 mm sized red patch on my glans. A half of a year later suddenly the half area of my glans became red (in 2017 autumn). Then I continously used Elocon for more half of a year, six days per months. Summa 40..50 days i think.
