Hi, how are you? I have had one doctor tell me that I did have PCOS and another tell me that I don't...I honestly think that I do. What is funny though is the doctor who told me I don't is the one who gave me a never ending supply of the medroxyprogesterone. I have to take it every month. Are your periods just kind of irregular? I used Provera, too, for about 3 months until I started going through IUI. My uterine lining was dangerously and also way to too thick since i was not shedding my lining. I was not ov at all. After taking the provera, my lining got back to the correct thickness to support a pg. The second IUI worked. For me, the first af after starting provera was extremely heavy and accompanied by severe cramping. but thankfully the cramping only lasted a day.

Hi I didn't get a period for a year but did get one on aug 5 after drinking Provera (Medroxyprogesterone Acetate Tablets) It lasted 7 days .On Aug 25 I did have unprotected sex 3 times that day(sorry for tmi) and not once did we use protection.On Aug 30 I notice a pink mucus discharge .it went away but came back without the mucus (sorry again for tmi) It did last on and off 5 days.Today on the due date for my period it was all gone...Can this be my period or can i be pregnant .

My OBGYN prescribed me Prometrium - a progesterone supplement because he said I wasn't ovulating and this would help. He said if this didn't work then he would put me on birth control for 2 months because that would help also. Did your doctor prescribe you anything to induce a period? I actually have to take Provera (medroxyprogesterone is another name for it) every month to induce a period or I won't get mine. I hope this helps.
