Its seems to me that alot of docs tend to overprescribe when all is need for bi polar is a good mood stabilizer and a good anti depressant I could be wrong since I am not a doc . OMG! I lost everything I just wrote to you. Oh well, it was kind of long winded anyway. I mainly wanted to tell you that I have to take medication for facial tightness because I take Abilify. It started as a twitch which then turned into major tightness in my entire face with the worst being in my mouth. My lips felt like they were being pulled together by a draw string and made me look like I was pissed off all the time.
I have a question. Are drugs in the benzo family ever used to treat seizures? As in Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, Ativan, Restoril, etc?
I have simple partial seizures and was on xanax on an "as needed" basis to control some nervousness about going back to college. I was on it for about 2 months. I started realizing I got less of my sensory and motor seizures which have always been uncontrollable since I started getting them back in 2000.
You should never stop taking your medication except under the guidance of your prescribing doctor. You don't say what type of medication you are taking so it's hard to say what you should do. As you will know Seroquel is a very calming anti psychotic, whereas Invega is quite agitating, I think by dropping the Invega you will have a lot less side effects ( fingers crossed )
You might feel quite drowsy for a few weeks because of the Seroquel but the extra 50mg he has given you isn't going to be too harsh, my doc usually increases my Seroquel by 100mg.
With it being the XR version as well, you will have less drowsiness.
I take Invega Sustenna. While my oxygen level is normal, I seem to have reduced po2 and oxyhgb, which is indicators of poor oxygen status. A doctor said this might be felt as dizziness. I want to make these tests again, but because of my diagnosis of schizophrenia, they usually attribute my dizziness to anxiety or side effects. Its been on going for 3 months, but recently got better as I took less Invega. Then it got a little worse again, and I cant say if my sleeping problems is the cause.
Thursday my female 10 lb. 2 year old Japanes chin was lethargic and not eating. She was givin Reglan and Pepcid at the clinic. Friday still lethargic not eating and had a fever. Friday she had blood work and xrays. Everything was normal except slightly anemic. Also a questionable gas pattern and a dark area in the stomach on xray. was given fluids, baytril injection, and ampicillan injection. Went home with bayrtil prescribed once a day and probiotic, still on pepcid.
