1068689 tn?1325827206 Hi my name is coit and I don't know what this medicene is, because i'm not a doctor, but if the medicine you are taking now raises you're BG to that high level I would stop the medication imediatly and contact you're doctor, you're blood glucose leveles should never be that high even if you are type one or two diabetic.
Icecream There are many more signs of hypoglycemia and I encourage you to research it more yourself. It is also important to know what to do when you recognize signs of low blood sugar. I suggest you have your blood sugar meter near so you can check things out if you feel this way.

Avatar m tn Please do not put off calling your doc today. I looked up Amaryl (glimepiride) and it is used by type 2 diabetics to lower glucose levels. There's a discussion going on in this forum about type 2, after long periods of time (how long is unk), reversing into type 1 diabetics. In your case it seems you are combating low glucose levels and may have a flipped 180ยบ. Let us know what your docs says. You will help a lot of readers by posting your history if you did turn into a type 1.
Avatar n tn Depending on the severity of your reaction, the re-challenge test is often used to determine if indeed it is caused by the medication. If you have the symptoms while on the medication, then they go away when the med is stopped, you should then re-try the medication at a low dose and see if the symptoms return. If they do, it is probably from the medication ans you should not be taking it. PLEASE DISCUSS THIS WITH YOUR DOCTOR PRIOR TO TRYING IT AT ALL.

Avatar f tn I'm 38+1 weeks and today ive been getting pain in my pelvic and lower back areas, this is my first baby so I'm totally uneducated on what everything is supposed to feel like. I can't work out if I'm having pressure pains or contractions. The pain seem to be irregular but they come and go which is why I think it could just be pressure pains. Confused as to whether I should start packing my hospital bag or not lol. I don't know what is going on!!!
Avatar f tn We pay the bills and have almost nothing left. What we do have left I will spend on tabs(not all of it) But like I said even when I take my pills every few days or so, I just dont care anymore. My dog of 8 years died 3 weeks ago and I still cry about her everyday. I cry about things that ahven't even happened yet. I have no sex drive, I have cysts and my ovaries. I just never thought that at 45 years old I would be in this situation. No insurance to get the cysts removed.

Avatar m tn Initially, when I started on metformin I had similar issues but I think those were just in my head more than anything else. What I did is just learn to eat better but when you are always hungry its got to be difficult to eat right and not feel full. Have you spoken to your doctor about this? I'm just throwing this out there but could there be some condition that hasn't been diagnosed. An eating disorder perhaps? Get back to me. I'd like to hear how things are going.

Avatar n tn The Intervals of QRS and QT measure conduction and recover times in your heart -- both are normal. The axis is the direction of depolarization of your heart and it is normal as well. The rosiglitazone component of avandaryl can cause swell and shortness of breath, particularly if you heart is not structurally normal.

1392875 tn?1292552928 about it and he said that it would be best for her to ween herself off, with someone there to administer the pills in decreasing amounts. Thats what we have been doing for two weeks now, and I guess everything is going according to plan. My quit date is Dec. 15, 2010 and after seeing the prolonged suffering she has gone through I have decided to rip the bandaid off and go cold turkey.
776872 tn?1247938680 Prednisone is used because it is pretty effective, I think. There is Budesonide (aka Entocort, Rhinocort), which I hear has less side effects. Your docs may also try concurrent 5-ASA class anti-inflammatories like Asacol, Colazal and immunosuppressants like 6-MP or Azathioprines. There is also Remicade IV infusion, but it expensive and is generally not given until other treatments have been exhausted.
