Avatar n tn Administration of grapefruit juice in humans results in a decrease in the level of CYP3A in the intestine,2 an important site for metabolism for many medications. This mechanism would account for the increase in levels of medications that are metabolized by CYP3A when concomitantly administered with grapefruit juice. A list of medications that have been shown, in clinical studies, to have an interaction with grapefruit juice can be found in the table below.

Avatar n tn Welcome to the site and to the community. You have come to a place where people are very supportive and have a lot of information. I would like to point out that as the information on your left says, this is only my personal advice and you should always consult a doctor with problems first. Also, while it is understandable to want information or advice about medication/s you should never alter or stop without speaking to the prescribing doctor first.

1365078 tn?1284494484 The good news is that is looks like everything is in the normal range. The only thing I see that may be an issue is your glucose. Were you fasting during when you had the blood drawn? If so, although your reading of 96 is technically in the "normal" range, it is heading toward the high side and you could have some blood sugar issues even though it is in the acceptable lab range.
