Avatar f tn Is anyone on Diclofenac? I am on it for an orthopedic condition and have been on it almost 4 weeks. It works, but am unsure how long I will be on it. As short a time as possible, I hope,...but, I was wondering....for those with arthritis (which it usually prescribed for,,).....are you on it daily? As an ongoing medication? I hope to go off it to avoid risks with prolonged usage, but up to now...it has not caused me any problems.
653169 tn?1303446369 You can pay less and a lot more for enzymes. Do what you can budget wise, my experiences is they all seem to work. When I told my doctor I was taking it with the diclofenac and I had no stomach issues he wrote it down and is now prescribing the Essential Enzyme with it. I use the voltaren gel mainly for my foot pain. I know what you mean, my pain is so wide spread it would be hard to have it on my body all over all the time.
Avatar m tn I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.
Avatar n tn the fact that it is affected by your breathing says that. You may try taking something like Motrin for the pain for a few days.
Avatar f tn Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.
Avatar n tn I would like to know what other pain killers are available for osteoarthritis. I have been on diclofenac for months for osteoarthritis of the knee and degenerative disk disease. I have tried to stop it several time due to concerns that I may get a GI bleed, have a stroke.... but this seems to be the only medication I have found that helps.
Avatar n tn And please remember, that if you see multiple doctors, you should let them know all medications you take including anything over the counter such as aspirin. Here is information regarding diclofenac gel. https://www.drugs.com/voltaren-gel.html. Diclofenac is voltaren and the gel contains the Nsaid. This information states clearly that aspirin should not be used at the same time. Normally, blood thinners are also not used with Nsaids.
Avatar n tn i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.
Avatar m tn According to Novartis, no liver damage is expected when Voltaren Pain Gel is used as directed. Only 6% of diclofenac would be systemically absorbed by percutaneous use. / Translated with www.DeepL.
880900 tn?1467270141 The gel doesnt cause as much problems for me which is great. It also is a godsend as I cant take nsaids aspirin, etc as I am on bloodthinners.
Avatar f tn This drug is the same thing that is in the Voltaren gel that I've been prescribed for external use on my osteoarthritis of the thumbs. I also have cirrhosis and I did some research on the drug. My hepatologist did give me the okay to use it, but after reading this FDA warning on possible liver damage from the drug (http://www.fda.gov/safety/medwatch/safetyinformation/safetyalertsforhumanmedicalproducts/ucm193047.htm) I've been exceedingly cautious and sparing in its use.
Avatar f tn Some offer limited relief but there is no cure. I also suffer with chronic back pain for which I use a topical pain cream. My arms were itching so badly one day that I smeared the pain cream all over my arms. The itching stopped; of course it came back but I just added more cream. The BRP is Maddening...but the pain cream helps.
Avatar f tn m not sure about the other one. Is there a way to know for sure? Is there any tests I could request? What if it was that third pill? And not knowing it I take it again?
Avatar f tn You have to check for Rheumatoid factor and go for an X-ray for diagnosis of Arthritis. What other symptoms do you face? Detailed history would be necessary for screening of Rheumatoid arthritis. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar n tn 5%) is another topical treatment similar to Voltaren gel (also made by Endo) that is approved for the treatment of knee arthritis symptoms. The recommended dose is 40 drops per knee, four times a day. 3) Lidoderm patches are patches with topical lidocaine, which works as a pain reliever. Lidoderm can work for low back pain among other things. Lidoderm, unlike Flector patches and Voltaren gel, is not a topical anti-inflammatory but rather a numbing medicine applied to the skin.
681148 tn?1437661591 I have discovered that sparkling water does seem to help some. Pepto Bismal is too nasty for me to use. It makes nausea worse. Plus, I have IBS-C, so anti-diarrheal meds aren't a good idea for me anyway. The bursitis is in my left shoulder, so it already makes sleeping hard, because I can't roll over on my left side at all, even when the bursitis isn't killing me, like it has been.
Avatar n tn I have had a kidney stone and infection in the past. For the last two weeks I have had rt side back/flank tenderness and intermittent pain below ribs and in groin area. I went to the physician's assistant since my MD was out of town and she just told me to drink more water. I have been hydrating. I have waves of fatigue and nausea (not severe) and have been lethargic this entire time. I am concerned that I am not passing what I am consuming.
Avatar m tn Listen to your doc and do what txsilver said. There is no 'quick' cure for healing a sprain. It's going to take the time it is going to take. If you push it because you get impatient..you'll just make the healing process longer. So, my advice. Accept that your body needs some 'time'. Do what the doc says and give your body the healing time that it needs.
Avatar n tn Have been on diclofenac potassium for a year for a torn meniscus. Could that have caused those spots?
Avatar n tn 035gm, alcohol 6% by volume) and Fexet (Fexofenadine:120mg) to have for one month. My course ends round about 25 september 2011. My nose blockage is getting better (one nasal passage is open most of the time) but I have also developed slight phelgm in my throat (i.e throat mucus). Should I be concerned and what should I do ???
