Common Questions and Answers about What is allegra-d used for

allegra

Avatar m tn Something alarming happened today. I took two allergy pills around 10:00pm. Around 12 pm I had a baowel movement. The stool looked... fluffy. Not diareah (-sp?) like, but spongy. There were two white things floating. When I looked closer I realized they were the allergy pills I took. It was Allegra D. Could this be the reason they haven't been working like they used to? I mean, they hardly looked like the outer coating was gone. Should I go to the doctor? Be alarmed? That was kinda freaky.
Avatar f tn I was OK to take Allegra. Ask your Dr. But I know Allegra is safe as well as benadril. And claritain. When in doubt ask a Dr.
Avatar n tn I'd be interested to know what input you get about this. I have been having what seem to be allergy episodes -- nasal congestion, watery eyes, clear mucous -- for a day or 2, then it's gone. I don't use decongestants as I have a history of Afib, pac's & pat. My first episode, I woke up with Afib and ending up needing to be electro-converted. I am abut ready to see an allergist, as I can't identify a trigger. Is the omeprazole a proton pump inhibitor for reflux?
Avatar m tn Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
Avatar m tn Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am sorry about the trouble your hubby is having. I took two antihistamines during treatment. Benedryl and Allegra D. The "D" part is important because it is a decongestant. It is available as an over-the-counter drug in most states. However, it will also keep some people awake especially when they first start taking it. I took it for a long time prior to treatment and it doesn't bother me anymore but still. Your hubby should ask for help with getting some sleep.
Avatar f tn I also took allegra before pregnancy, it was the only thing that worked. However, it is not advised during pregnancy. Take Benadryl instead. Its a safe drug to take while carrying baby.
Avatar m tn If you can afford to (sort of pricey at $20 for a 2 week supply) I would get Claritin-D or Allegra-D. They have an antihistamine as well as a decongestant. You have to get them from a pharmacist (behind the counter) and show your ID. I take Claritin-D daily for the same symptoms you have. I get bad headaches at night and my nose gets stuffed, with sneezing and runny eyes. Since starting Claritin-D, I no longer have that problem unless it wears off before I go to bed.
Avatar n tn What is better for allergies allegra or claritin? Whats stronger Loratadine or Fexofenadine?
Avatar f tn My midwife said to watch out for meds with a d in the name (ie allegra d, claritan d, etc) but that most without the d are okay to use on occasion.
1711722 tn?1356487554 t take anything without talking to your doctor but the allegra d was deemed ok by my dr and it is now OTC. I know it is ok with peg+riba+ and incivek. Hope this helps and hope you feel better soon!
Avatar f tn Every little bit does help. Your bedroom for sure! I also take singulair. I dont know what Qvar80 is. I take a lot of medication. Singulair, Advair, Flonase, and Allegra. When I get a sinus headache I also take Allegra D. I started getting allergy shots too. Im allergic to mold too. Have someone clean it or remove it if possible (within your financial means).Wear a mask when you have to be around it. All of this is extreme and a lot of work.
Avatar f tn Hi! Congratulations! If you were my patient, I would advise you to take the absolute minimum medication that you can get away with during the first trimester especially. BUT having said that, Allegra is pregnancy category C which means that it CAN be used in pregnancy if the benefits out weigh the risks. Hope this helps!

Avatar m tn Hi, Last time on which I was tested was not electroimmunoassay but it was Electrochemiluminescence. My pathologist said to me that it is better than ELISA.Sorry for repeating the questions? This would be the last question pertaining to my exposure. I have tested on 91st day. Results:Negative HIV1/HIV2 antibodies Nonreactive. My question are as follows: 1) Is Electrochemiluminescence testing better than ELISA? 2)Is it better than ELISA?

Avatar f tn Is it ok to take allegra D while on zoloft? I also get botox shots to the back of the head for pain. Is it ok to continue them? Ive only been on zoloft for 2 wks.
Avatar f tn I have really bad allergies and can usually get away with just Zyrtec but this year they are way worse and my doc told me to switch it up and try Claritin or Allegra the Allegra seems to work the best when I also take a sudafed but don't take the combo one just plan Allegra and plain sudafed.
Avatar n tn I asked doctor for test of UTI/chlymadia/gonnorrehea, But he simply refused it and told me that there is no need for it. It is not that. What shoud I do???? Now he has given me some vitamin tablet for this week? Please guide............
1335947 tn?1275685447 hi and welcome to the forum...clonadine is a B/P med it is used for its side effects during withdrawals it will give you some relief form the creepy crawly feeling it will also help control the blood presure spikes common with detoxing...also for some it makes you tired this would have been a lot more helpful 5 days ago for you but if your symptoms are lingering it could help ...good luck and God bless....
Avatar m tn ve been told zyrtec is good. Allegra makes me super drowsy and causes muscle aches but everyone tolerates it differently. She should see an allergist. The allergist might prescribe singulair. It works great on ky daughter but causes me anxiety. I've tried chamomile tea and it helps a bit, with no sugar though. Keep me updated, I know the feeling. I've lost lots of weight avoiding processed foods and other foods.
Dog by the time I got to read your reply I had already purchased a product suggested by live chat pharmacist Ronda R...she said Allegra D or Claritin D(generic) and local Walgreens sold my wife Wal-itin D........contacted my Dr. and he also stated the same as you 'I would suggest not taking pseudoephedrine with metoprolol. It could elevate her heart rate. Loratadine by itself would be fine.
