Avatar n tn i have an issue with anxiety and my usual fears r change in routine and vomiting, but recently as in the past 2 or 3 days ive developed a new fear (lol like i don't have my hands full with the others) and that fear is a fear of being depressed. The problem is ive never been depressed so i don't know wat it feels like. im afraid of becoming depressed/suicidal (btw i have some belief in my head that suicidal thoughts ALWAYS follow depression is this true?
Avatar n tn But I looked it up and it said it is most common in men and people over 40... Iam a 20 yr old female... I also read it was a birth defect... Do you know if they usually remove it? I really don't want surgery on my stomach again if I can avoid it... Thank you so much for your response!!
Avatar f tn I suggest getting to a gastroenterologist and keeping a log of your vomiting spells, when they happen, and how you feel before and after. Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn recently i got my thyroid test in that T3,T4 is normal but tsh is abnormal(12) is it hypothyroidism or hyper thyroidism what we can call?? what next step for me??
Avatar f tn Migraine headache often begins with what is called a prodrome, which may persist for hours to days, when patients note difficulty concentrating or fatigue without headache. The headache may be unilateral or bilateral, throbbing, moderate to severe, and worsened with activity. Accompanying clinical features include nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound. Other clinical features include neck pain, or occasionally dizziness, or difficulty thinking.
1435895 tn?1304291241 I had nausea before surgery that seemed too come for an entire week or so where I could barely keep anything down then disappear. After surgery its been less frequent and intense but still have it. Tonight has been one of those nights. I usually wake up knowing it will be one of those days. I used to gave an intense fear of vomiting and would avoid it at any cost but now its something that's so common I don't even think about it.
Avatar f tn There is no way you are going to get pregnant using a restroom. How old are you and how long has this fear of pregnancy been going on? Do you see a psychologist?
Avatar n tn You said she gets her self worked up every evening and has a fear of eating it could be possible she to has a psychological problem causing this to occur such as fear of going to bed, a fear of going to school the next day, or possibly even anorexia. You said she doesn't know why she vomits and that is probably the case, she may be stressed over something either at home, or school and is either blocking it out or is embarrassed or afraid to talk about it.
944787 tn?1287084773 I started doing this a long time ago because I realized that there are a lot of people walking past me who are sad, lonely, hurting, scared, and to give them a smile and a hello can make their day. It may make a lonely person feel like someone noticed them, well you get the picture. Sometimes you may not get anything in return and that's okay, it doesn't mean you didn't make their day.
Avatar m tn I feel like I should test to know my status for definite and to certainly ease my concerns but I think the fear of it being positive will always be there. The vomiting and diarrhea are really what worried me despite the low risk, both the timing of that and then the symptoms I've had since then. I did see Dr Handsfield say once that vomiting and diarrhea weren't symptoms of ARS which reassured me slightly but again, other places say differently.
17213106 tn?1456525991 I have serious emetophobia and all of the above list nausea and vomiting as a side effect. What am I supposed to do?? I am never sick, I mean I never catch the common cold (most likely due to my phobia)so being sick for a month is really taking a toll on me. Does anyone have any suggestions? What's a girl to do?
368646 tn?1208393887 One would need to add to that evidence of two or more places in the neuro exam where there is evidence of damage to the CNS. In addition all of the mimics of MS need to be ruled out. Nothing that you told us is suggestive of MS. I would hate to venture a guess what you are going through, but abdominal epilepsy might be considered - with the trigger being the change in hormonal status.
Avatar f tn You are conclusively negative, and 4 gen window of 28 days was already explained on your last thread so there is nothing else to say. If you can't accept the test results then see a therapist because your problem is not disease, it is a mental health problem called "fear of disease that you don't have", and no one here can help resolve that.
12680650 tn?1427307118 m not sure if it is the same as what RonL is describing, I know that sense of falling, that usually happens with a leg jerk or something like that. What I experience is a little different, it is as if you are almost semiconscious and right on the cusp of falling asleep but then feel yourself drifting into unconsciousness, but then a surge of adrenaline will radiate through our body. It seems as if there is no jerk involved... or at least my husband never seemed to notice.
1390847 tn?1344657468 Ultimately you have to deal with this fear of vomiting, whether it be with a counselor, psychiatrist or even your primary physician. I feel really bad for you and hope you can see past the immediate feelings you are having. There are crisis lines you can call if you feel like harming yourself. Please get help. Sometimes we just can't handle things on our own.
701334 tn?1262853503 Based on your description of the beat, you are most likely experiencing a PAC (premature atrial contraction) or PVC (premature ventricular contraction) Without catching it on a monitor I can only suspect that this is what you're feeling. EKG's are not the best tool for catching these...often times our hearts are on their best behavior during them. The best way to catch them is by having an event monitor. As for your increased HR after eating...
Avatar f tn I was deathly scared of vomiting and would have a full blown panic attack and pass out when I would even get nauseous but since I've had severe vomiting my entire pregnancy I've gotten over it a little... needles are only scary for a minute or two. Just close your eyes and take a deep breath. It'll be over before you know it!
Avatar f tn Every once in a while I get a sharp pain in my chest every time I inhale. It hurts a LOT, like I'm being stabbed with a screw driver. I have to breath short breaths, only breathing till it hurts, and each breath can get a little longer then the one before. Like I'm easing into a full breath, then it stops hurting. The onset seems totally random too. I remember when I was really young, when this started, my doctor said something about it being a cartilage build up in my chest.
Avatar f tn as u go thru tx u will begin to get a sense of what it is like for u. the fear for me was mostly an early symptom. i stayed close to this forum and voiced questions as soon as they came up. the answers came day and night and were hugely comforting. better than a direct line to my doc! hang in there and know that it is a bit of a rollercoaster ride but that many folks have gotten to the other side and are now svr. i am one of those and i wish it for you.
Avatar n tn When I was younger I used to think my heart was going to stop because I read online that someone young died playing basketball. So I know now it is a fear of death. I am on Zoloft and Xanax as needed. But don't speak to the physiatrist unill sept 2. Can someone help and tell me I won't die from eating that the food isn't poisoning.
363281 tn?1643235611 I just copied a list of all anxiety symptoms, you will be amazed.
63984 tn?1385437939 About a year ago, I had a double bowel obstruction, and I came rather close to experiencing the other side of life. During this experience, I vomited very violently. I recovered, but noticed my about six month ago my voice was changing, becoming very rough, and experienced indigestion. A visit to an ENT doctor confirmed my vocal chords were burned. I also noticed that my teeth were darkening, and a visit to the dentist confirmed acid was distroying my my tooth enamel.
Avatar f tn Hi guys, I was recently in ER for acid stomach and they injected a liquid into me that apparently stops me from vomiting, I fear it so much but have no clue what it's called it made me woozy my tounge dropped to the back of my throat and I felt helpless and adgetated.
Avatar f tn For as long as I can remember I have had a massive fear of vomit ( not vomiting, fear of others puking) when ever I even think about someone throwing up it gives me anxiety. When I see someone even about to I start panicking. I live in an apartment complex and someone threw up in the parking lot and now I'm scared to go out there. It's makes me panic and want to cry.
