The impact of the ball caused the concussion, and the shape of his pupil is now oval. I took him to a pediatric opthamologist who did a thorough exam. He said there is no lasting damage other than the shape of the pupil, but he needed glasses. When he "recovered" from the concussion three weeks later, he tried to go back to baseball but could no longer judge the speed and distance of the ball. He had to quit. He has been moody and pesting ever since the concussion.

I'm 20 years old and healthy. I hit my head on a dent in the celling 2 weeks ago and it hurt but i didn't think much of it, only to have a killer headache/almost passing out episode 3 days later.
-I've been nausous since, went to the hospital a bunch of times and was diagnosed with a concussion. They did a CT scan and everything seems normal.
iam a 20 year old female, i have had iregular periods for over a year now, i had a ultrasound done where they had seen polomistik sis i was not told this till today as my perivous doctor said i had a hormone missing... can you please explain what polomistik sis is? and what are the causes or risks? my doctor said its nothing to worry about but i have already started to.
What you've described is honestly unlikely to be something serious or life altering so if you can try not to let your anxiety run you off the rails...
If you have a history of multiple concussions, head, neck or spinal injuries from playing a contact sport it might be related but it's just as likely to not be and until you've had a spinal MRI, nerve conductor tests etc you won't have a true idea of if this is actually neurological caused or not.
Is the diagnosis similar between a concussion and intoxication? If so, in what ways? i.e., with the pupils, when doctor shines light in eyes, motor skills, etc. In what ways are they different? What if you have/are both at the same time? Can they be possibly confused or synonymous?
A week later I started to feel a tingling sensation throughout my entire body. It lasted for a week and subsided. I felt stiffness my knees ever since, RF test returned normal. In May 2007 the tingling sensation has returned and again lasted for about a week. In August last year it was repeated and I also developed a smelling disorder with distorted smelling sensations which lasted for a month and miraculously returned to normal.

The doc took some blood samples this time and i will get the results back in two days.the doc also gave me some strong and expensive pills which she almost guaranteed it would go away..it hasn't..
About a week later, I had a facial droop. It looked like I was having a stroke. I went to the ER and via CT it was determined that it wasn't a stroke nor was there a bleed. Since then I have had 10 more sporadic, recurrent, facial droops each lasting between 40 minutes to an hour and a half. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks!
I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced severe light sensitivity this long after a concussion and what their diagnosis was or what they did to stop it.
Is the urine tests and culture pretty accurate for gon/chlamydia?
His diagnosis is ALS. I was curious to see if that would be a first choice for you. He has done an EMG, spinal tap and standard blood tests. Since other diagnosis could be ruled out, ALS was what was left. A bit of its not this or this, therefore it must be ALS. Honestly I do not know what the results of those were, I just know the diagnosis. I probably should ask for copies of those results. The neuro is the director of the ALS clinic here in Hershey, PA.
I have a mild headache with sudden pain in various parts of my head, my stomach is upset and I am exhausted. I was told it was a mild concussion and symptoms could last for weeks, months. Although I never had a seizure I was put on preventative seizure meds. The bottom line is the brain is extremely fragile and complex. No one knows how long it will take for your's to heal. But, rest and I mean a lot of rest, will help immensely.
