Common Questions and Answers about What does vigamox treat

avelox

Avatar f tn However you should not need to use it for days and days. At our center we pre-treat for 1 day and then treat afterwards for 3 - 4 days, basically however long the bottle lasts. Certainly you are within your rights to request another sample bottle of Vigamox since you are having both eyes done.
Avatar m tn Hi, On June 24th I went to see a local Internest for Conjunctivitis, and was prescribed Genoptic drops to treat my infection. The Genoptic did not resolve the infection after a full course of treatment. Subsequent to that, I saw a local Optometrist on July 13th who prescribed Vigamox to get rid of the infection. That was 5 days ago.
Avatar m tn It is unusual for patients to be allergic to Vigamox but does happen on occasion. Should not have any lasting effects past a few days. If your vision is blurry, ask the doctor if your cornea is clear and doing ok.
Avatar n tn My left eye was bothering me for about two weeks, off and on. I thought I had a simple eye infection and used previously Rx'd drops to self treat it ( I know, I know ), then it became very apparent when I could not focus my eyes while driving that something was wrong. I saw my Doctor he put numbing drops in my eyes and did a slit light test, then prescribed me acular and vigamox, directed me to two different OTC drops ( one which is almost gel like ).
1415174 tn?1453243103 But it is the side effects of Vigamox. I just want to do the right thing. Every thing I have read says to treat this agressively. So, I don't want to lose my vision. I am very scared.
Avatar f tn t know if they know what I have exactly. Anyone on earth had a similar event or know what it could be please answer I will highly appreciate and have a better thanksgiving. Also is it dangerous to take Vigamox at each 2h?
1128722 tn?1263102664 AT 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 I had an ICL procedure performed in my right eye. Earlier I had been debating whether or not to get RLE surgery with Crystalens or Tetraflex and was talked out of both by my doctor. After an hour long discussion in Calgary about 5 weeks ago we decided to go with an ICL. It had to be custom made for my eye because apparently my anterior chambers were too small.
Avatar f tn My doctor gave me terramycin ointment (4 times daily) and vigamox drops (3 times daily) to treat conjunctivitis in both eyes. However, when applying terramycin ointment for the first two days, my eyes became more uncomfortable (watery, more discharge) and red. Is this is good sigh for healing? or should I stop usage?
Avatar f tn Now I am scheduled for cataract surgery, and in the presurgical packet I received this weekend, there is an rx for Vigamox, even though I requested that a note about the Cipro/Vigamox problem be placed in my file. I know the fluoroquinolones are appealing to docs because they are so tremendously effective, but for people who cannot tolerate them, are there acceptable substitutes?
Avatar m tn Doctor prescribed 3 different eye drop medicines for a week. Can anyone tell me what each are for? A friend told me some were dangerous to my eye? Is this true?

Avatar m tn Often after I rise in the morning my eyes burn and water. Wiping them with a tissue does a good job of relieving the discomfort, and I'm generally good for the rest of the day. My concern is that I'm going to have cataract surgery this coming Wednesday, and I know that rubbing the eyes afterward is a bad idea. I'm hoping for suggestions as to how best to relieve the discomfort and not compromise the incisions by rubbing my eyes.
Avatar f tn the doctor gave Vigamox(from every 3 hours, now 3 times a day), amphothericin(from every hour to every 2 hours), nizoral(every hour 24 hours a day). That's really hard taking such eyedrops, As of now, he doing his check up (from every other day, now its everday already). I want to know how long will i take to cure that infection. My dad cant attend anymore with his work & other activities because of this.
Avatar m tn It is always the left eye. I have had one opthamologist treat me for Herpes Keratitis while another for chronic blepharitis (I do have seborrhheic dermatitis). What can I do to head off these attacks? I do warm compresses and lid scrubs, but can I use steroids like Tobradex when I fell an attack coming on? Often they seem to be preceded by a stye. I'm suffering through one now and very anxious.
Avatar m tn I am using patanol and vigamox. Problem is i have like a white discharge on my eye and it does not like to come out. I use a hot compress twice a day then i try to rinse my eye and flush my eye as well. Nothing it just remains in my eye. Most of the time i go to bed and it still there. When the white discharge remains in my eye for too long it gets hard and crust and sticks to my skin this hearts really bad.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed and given vigamox (4 x day) and Tobradex. The doctor insisted I come back the next day to check my pupil after dilated. So, I paid another $140 for that exam. Now, they (it's a medical center where different doctors step in) insist I come back every 2 days to check on the healing. Unfortunately, I can't take off anymore work or pay another $140. The redness, itching and stinging have all decreased in the last 36 hrs since starting treatment.

Avatar m tn I had unprotected oral from a sex worker, and about three weeks, later, got symptoms of burning, and a clear discharge etc, I was treated, before test results got back with doxy, 100x2 daily, and my GF was treated with 1 gram of Azithromycin in one treatment, in the last few hours, I have started to get symptoms of pink eye, I then treated it with vigamox x 3 daily, does this sound like a normal treatment, and result, my buring sensations have gone away, and my eye is slowly calming down.
Avatar f tn My eyes are still tearing alot. So much that it appears I'm crying. My opthamologist put me on an antibiotic and the redness and itching went away, but my eyes still tear. I do have cataracts. My Optha. doctor had pics taken of the inside of my eyes and said all looks well, but that it does seem like my eyes are reacting to something. I haven't been taking any eyedrops, she stopped everything, all drops.
Avatar m tn I have a bad case of Blepharitis and my optician has prescribed Vigamox to be used for 7 days on my eye lids. I am on the 4th day and I don't see a whole lot of change in my eyelids. Is there something better than this? I also go to an Opthamoligist and he prescribed a salve, which also didn't work. I am putting hot compresses on everynight with a lid scrub (also not working.) I would appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks.
