Avatar n tn My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?
Avatar n tn She has since tested negative for H Pylori, and has been taken off Razadyne(24 mg ) for memory problems, put on Exelon (6mg patch), then taken off it after two weeks and more nausea. She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Still puzzling and frustrating. doctors are stumped (still) and I am feeling worthless because I cannot help her kick the nausea or find the cause. Really looking for help here. Any will be gratefully accepted.
Avatar f tn t calming her down any, and she did not refil the prescription. 2 months later she had another bad dream and the doctor was notified. He then prescribed exelon. My question: If she does not have Alzheimer's disease, why would he prescribe either of these medicines for her? If this is dimentia, aren't there other drugs out there for that or even drugs that have a claming effect? From what I have read about excelon, I am not sure if it is compatible with her heart medication.

She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Recently, she started back on the lower dose of Razadyne. Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.
Avatar n tn The scrolling in ads is a legal requirement imposed by the FDA on pharmaceutical companies that advertise online. I'm sure the Exelon Patch advertisers would like to leave out these long disclaimers as much as you'd like to not see them, but unfortunately, this is how advertising works in the pharmaceutical industry.
Avatar m tn So my advice to you would be to try whatever your DR wants you to, If he does want to raise the dose on the patch, see what happens. The case may be that the dose just isnt high enough for you. And just be honest. I hope your able to find a dose that works for you and you find you dont even need the daily oxycodone!
Avatar m tn Those that want to do the procedure what exactly do they suggest doing...
Avatar f tn I feel at such a loss in trying to help my Mother. I've gone back to Neurologist and am awaiting his advise, but he doesn't appear to be emphathetic to this issue. Her GP defers to the neurologist. My 81 yr old Mother in middle to late stage Alzheimer's. She is not on any anti-anxiety med except for Paxil which was prescribed about a month ago. She gets aggitated during the day at times and especially sundowners time.

Avatar f tn His symptoms have gotten incresing worse in the last week. Please give me your expert advise on what you would do if it were your spouse.
Avatar f tn The fent patches were the only thing that worked for me on the pain. I have no problem going down on the dose but what do I do with the pain?? And really what about the pain when I am totally off the patches. I did read some chats mentioning Suboxone. What is it ? Will it help me to switch to it to get off the patch faster ? Does it work for the W/D from fent ? Does it do anything for the pain ? Can some one tell me about it please?
Avatar n tn Thank you. I notice you are in Cleveland and have a question regarding Mom. She has been treated for the last few years for Alzheimer's with an Exelon patch. I am not sure why she isn't on any other therapy but this is what her family doc has her on. She has not been "formaly" diagnosed however, the stress of the situation with dad has sent her downward very quickly. Unfortunetly without him, her anchor, her condition has become severe.
326877 tn?1225509606 I went to a pain management clinic so that I could get off all the pain meds (vicodine) I hate the way it makes me feel. The clinic percribed me a Fentanyl Patch. It is a natual opid. I must say it has changed my life! I take the lowest dose possible and I cant even tell I take anything at all. I know it works different for everyone but you may want to ask about it. Its a very small almost clear patch that you change every 3 days.
Avatar n tn My son loves to go out and dance and maybe has a couple of beers is the beer causing the seizures or is the body heat causing the seizure? What should I do when he falls on the floor and jurks? He comes out of the seizure within 5 mins.

The number one fact is that you will not be successful at this unless you are ready to quit for you! Don't try to quit for the kids, the hubby, your job....it will not work, you have to quit because YOU WANT TO!!! These are my stats: My Quit Date: 7/17/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 223 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,831 Amount Saved: $4460 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 0 Mins: 20 Seconds: 46 I wanted to quit!
1301089 tn?1290666571 When I was using the patch, at first I did flush them according to the package instructions, however, one time when I did that, I was at a friend's house - he has a septic system, not public sewer - and I ended up causing a MAJOR overflow.
Avatar f tn we are (wife) is in the same boat like you and me.
Avatar f tn many with Ehlers-Danlos* have these allergies and reactions...bcuz of that the NS I went to only will use tissue from the patient for a dura patch, and they used a glue and sterri strips, no staples..... It is possible you have EDS* AND may have cranialcervio instability....that can cause black outs, and head aches and nausea.... Some with this issue instead of a shunt have opted to replace the patch as it can fail and cause excess CSF to build up...
Avatar f tn m very out of shape and I desperately need to get exercising and up the gym. What exercise programme would you recommend I should do? And if I should exercise?
Avatar f tn dose he was going to put me on the Fentanyl patch..Well, the patch made me pain free, but when I researched it on the Internet I was surprised that the raising of your core temperature could lead the patch into delivering more of the Fentanyl than I needed into my system and could be fatal..I workout at a gym and raise my body temp often..this certainly explains while during a workout I really thought I was going to pass out...
