I have been taken Ropinirole for sometime now and it helps a little. As for sleep,I get very little of.

Have been taking Lexapro 20 mg for about a year and very much improved. Unable to acieve orgasm even with erection. How long does thia side effect last after weaning off Lexapro with doctor's approval???

My RLS started over 20 years ago and has been really bad for about 15 years. Ropinirole, once I was put on it in 2007, was a Godsend and just about covers it as long as I don't miss a dose (currently 4 x daily starting at 10am) My consultant has now suggested trying Slow Mag (Slow release magnesium) in hopes that I can reduce the number of Ropinirole I have to take to be able to function normally.

What do you have to help with rls.I have tried merapex and clonezapan.Merapex stopped working and clonezapan made me too sleepy during the day.

I too am on Baclofen, 30mgs. a day, and it does help with the stiffness, and the shudders, ( as I call them) ... Hope this helps, do you have purple skin too??

Hi, Not sure about everyone else but I know that for me the restless legs is one of the worst symptoms. I told my doctor that I was struggling and he prescribed me Ropinirole tablets, one to take before bedtime. I took one last night and, fingers crossed, it seemed to work. Most of you are probably aware of this but for those who aren't, it might be worth a try.

I have been taking Ambien for 5 years now and take anywhere from 20-30mg, plus Lamotrigine for Depression, Ropinirole for RLS, and a few others. The Ambien does not work well for me anymore and this past month my insomnia has escalated. In addition to the RLS I have body jolts, hallucinations while I'm falling asleep, and these electrical zapping sensations throughout my body.

Have had rls once or twice a month for ten years. Then bam, it's full blown, unreal, can't do this, rls. I don't need to tell you all how it feels... But discribeing it to a small town doctor feels like I'm talking to a book. Short story, I moved to Idaho from California. Seeking the small town, farm, slow pace and American dream of life. Digging in deep with enjoying the mild winter and active from dawn to dusk.

So they have in ropinirole (I forgot how to spell it) but 1mg doesn't seem to be working. :( what other meds can I request?

Early on I was diagnosed with primary paradoxical syndrome, but was negative at a later date...I take Midodrine, (rencently started) and gabapentin, baclofen, ropinirole which I have been on these 3 for years What is causing this is extreme sleepiness?? I cannot function...any meds or test?? I'm open to suggestions to help me function...

Naturally, I have been told that it is probably all in my imagination (NOT!!). I am on low doese of ropinirole for restless leg syndrome and lorazepam at bedtime to help me cope with the claustrophobia of a CPAP mask, and no other regular medication. I am 64 and female and overweight.

I wear the stockings, eat salt and massive water. I have extreme fatigue regardless of what I do...no anemia...take b12, vit d is ok..but the past 6-8 months I've experienced extreme sleepiness almost to the narcolepsy degree..my life which was already fractured due to the other horrible symptoms has pretty much come to a stand still...I take Midodrine.and gabapentin for neuropathy, baclofen and ropinirole for restless leg syndrome.. Anyone else experiencing this form of sleepiness?

I have been on Mirapex for about 6 years now, and never had a problem. I am unemployed now, and do not have any health insurance. My doctor has been great to give me samples, however; they are out of them right now. My doctor tried giving me clonazepam 1 mg 2 nights ago, I walked the floors and tossed and turned all night. I called my doctor, and she said to increase my clonazepam to 2mg before bed. I felt the affect of being goofy and my speech slurring, but still no sleep.

Does anyone have restless leg syndrome and if so what do doctors recommend to take so you can sleep? No matter what position I am in it hurts which it makes it hard for me to sleep I am so tired so any ideas would be appreciated.

For some time now I've been feeling my bed shake. It feels like a little tremor, a kick to the bed or like some one moved in the bed. It is always during while I'm asleep or really relaxed close to falling asleep. I don't understand it. My mom says its the peacocks landing on the balconies or on the roof so one time when i felt it i went to check, and no peacocks. Besides they roost after 8pm, they're not roaming at night, geez.

You should check if you are anemic and have proper balanced diet. Lead a stress free life, have proper sleep and do regular exercise as with a good lifestyle sometimes the remissions of restless leg syndrome diminish completely. Your physician will try an array of medicines starting from pain killers like tramadol to diazepam, clonazapam, gabapentin or ropinirole. I would suggest you to go to a neurologist for proper follow up. Take care!

does any know if a muscle relaxer would help with leg cramps i hate them so no worry of addiction but during the worst part of the rls whould they help my wife asked her dr.

So right now I am currently taking ziprasidone 80 mg, chantix 1mg, topamax 50mg 3x day, and ropinirole for side effects 1 mg once a day. I can't believe I actually made it through the night last night. I had some psychosis and was up all night long, but laying and I had the shakes at first but I'm actually proud I made it through the night without popping that pill. Took my medicine this morning and slept for about 5 hours and no psychosis, hallucinations or anything.

Since I already have RLS, will I have to look forward to an increase in the severity of my RLS??? I am very worried. I take Requip (ropinirole) for RLS but it is not a total relief of it. RLS is hell as you dread going to bed, you dread movies, you dread airplanes as you know that your legs will instantly start to ache and you will have the compulsion to constantly move them to relieve the discomfort.

Also have lots of nasal congestion and diarrhea today. These are new symptoms. How long do these last?

I found this forum by mistake whilst having an annoying reaction to my pain medication for my lower back. I'm 26 and have had lower back issues since I was 7. It's only in the past 6-8 years that I've been properly medicated and only found out in the last two years that I have a protruding disc. I have had a lot of pain medication but tramadol works for me MOST of the time.
