988694 tn?1332359479 If my problem (sex hormonal imbalance) does not resolve after been in my new dose for at least 5 or 6 months, does it mean that I am not in the right dose?
Avatar f tn Your doctor needs to run more testing - like free T3 and free T4 to determine what the thyroid is really doing. I hope your doctor puts on your medications to treat the hypothyroidism.
Avatar f tn is it better to treat now while the effects of the virus are minimal? What kind of drugs are they working on and are they going to be better than the interferon/ribovirin combo? At what point would he need to start treatment? When the viral load elevates or when if the enzymes elevate? Or is it just really up to him? I just don't want things to get worse and have him wishing he had done something about it now instead of when it gets worse.
458027 tn?1223609651 I was going to go through treatment but not entirely convinced that it was what I wanted to do. My dr says unless I am totally committed that he does not want to treat me. At present I have no problems except for joints that seem weak.

963249 tn?1247190497 What is most important is the free t4 and free t3 results. What were his exact numbers with the lab ranges? Being in the "normal" range doesn't always mean normal. TSH shows pituitary function. Interesting to know if his free levels are low normal which can surely cause symptoms, and then you have the tsh over 3 for backup.
1093823 tn?1257341779 I keep getting different responses from physicians and my own research to the question, to treat or not to treat...I've experienced a sudden onset of fatigue with symptoms of anxiety and depression and my TPO antibodies resulted at 54, but my FT4 and TSH are "within normal limits", depending on which limits are considered 'normal'...that is also been debatable. If I'm symptomatic with TPO antibodies and other lab work has been normal, should this been treated with HRT?
Avatar f tn i suffer from ptsd from a life long history of being raped from the age of 4 and then throughout my teenage years, then my sister was murdered, and so much more... I don't think any of us on here can really suggest what meds you should take, only tell you what works for us. I take Seraquel. (if that's how u spell it) Unfortunately, the side effects on my body sucked!!! I gained about 100 lbs, over the first couple of years, but mentally I needed the meds, so that was the trade off.
