Avatar f tn Sounds like you are connected to the best advice available, a cardiologist and lots of tests. Metoprolol is also prescribed for HBP, so you are getting two treatments for HBP... hope that has you BP down to a good range. Others may be able to come up with more comforting words than my opening statement, I hope so as most of us who have heart rhythm problems need to know that these are usually benign and while they cause us concern, they are not likely to do us any additional harm...
Avatar n tn What does it look like and what to use to treat it with over the counter treatments? This discussion is related to boils.

1020296 tn?1251475359 what dosage is the beta blocker? It looks as though there could be an imbalance of the medication maybe. What is the dosage of the blood pressure medication (ramipril)?
Avatar f tn It is inadvisable to increase medications than what is prescribed by the doctor. First, discuss with his doctor if he should continue with Ramipril. If yes, inform the doctor what you told us here that the chemist [pharmacist] has only the larger dose available. Usually the doctor can ask/call the chemist to order the proper dosage.
544430 tn?1283712658 i am taken 5mg of ramipril and 50micrograms thyroxine,daily..... i have an occasional cough...the DR says it is caused by Ramipril but cant change my med because im been treated for Excema which i've had now for 18 mths..
Avatar f tn I was put on Ramipril 5mg as my BP was high. Wondering how long it takes to work. My pulse is low a 59 but my BP is still high. Is this normal? Im worried if they put the dose up my pulse will go even lower.
Avatar f tn My husband was diagnosed with low ejection fraction 35-40, but has no symptoms. He is 67 years old, runs 6 miles a day and has blood pressure of around 110/70 to 118/80. He was discovered to have LVEF during an echocardiogram performed to determine whether he had a bicuspid valve (which he does not) because it runs in the family. Cardiologists have since put him on BP meds to address what they are calling heart failure, even though he doesn't feel like he has heart failure.
