Common Questions and Answers about What does pancreatitis pain feel like

pancreatitis

Avatar m tn I have had pancreatitis before and this does feel very similar. Fortunately, this time it went away but pancreatitis is extremely painful and doesn't go away. I was kept in the hospital for 7 days, no food, no water, intravenous fluids and strong pain medication every 2 to 4 hours as needed! I NEVER want to experience that again but I can't help but fear that I will. My pancreas was damaged by both the diabetes and by the pancreatitis so my chances are high of having this reoccur.
Avatar f tn My gallbladder has been removed, my blood work is normal and scans of my pancreas show nothing. Does anyone know what it could be? .
Avatar f tn what does contractions feel like? I'm 21wks and been seeing others talk about it just kinda scared.
Avatar f tn I hear a lot of round ligament pain. What exactly does it feel like and where does it occur on your body IG;sides, lower belly, etc. And when do you usually get it. I'm 24 weeks and the last few days I've had crampy aches in my lower and side belly. I know its not Braxton Hicks (been getting those since20wks) Thought maybe it was a uti, but I don't think so now, maybe gas pains...just trying to rule things out before I over think things. Thanks in advance ladies.
1901977 tn?1333991726 So I'm feeling a little sheepish asking this question, but this is my first pregnancy and the only time I've ever seen labor or a woman having contractions is on TV, which I would guess is not like the real thing. So how do you know when you're in labor? What does a contraction feel like, and how do you recognize it? Just curious, and wondering how I'll know when the time comes.
Avatar m tn The doctors were very confused about why he had pancreatitis as nor acute nor chronic made much sense - my husband as mentioned does not drink, didn't take any medication, other than imodium sometimes and he had not been partying more than usual before being hospitalized. Doctors best guess was that it might be a result of malaria pills, but they said that it was only a guess. After being discharged, he started seeing a doctor who specializes in pancreatitis, regularly.
Avatar m tn Hi, I had my gallbladder removed in 2002 and am still having recurrent bouts of severe abdominal pain. I am scheduled for an ERCP and sphincterotomy next week and I am wondering what the recovery from this procedure looks like. The doctor told me it was "a little uncomfortable" which in my experience tends to me, "This is gonna hurt." Any thoughts from those of you who have had an ERCP? Thanks.
Avatar f tn The pain is like a dull burning sensation that comes and goes. May last 15 minutes to an hour. My mid back also has a dull ache at the same time. Usually laying flat on my stomach tends to relieve the pain some. It does occur after eating sometime but not with any particular food. It could be cereal or steak it does not seem to matter. I do not have any nausea or fever.
Avatar f tn On websites people say that O pain is like AF pain. Mine isn't like AF pain, I get a stitch like pain in one side. Also I've had 4 days of EWCM and now I have lotiony CM. Is this normal?
183933 tn?1290216962 So my question is this. What does the pain feel like? Does a gluten free diet really help? I just started on one for some of my own auto-immune diseases, and so far, so good!
Avatar n tn I have been fighting this pain for about ten years now. Have gone corn and gluten free which helped initially but now back to the same thing. Pain was getting worse and now had my gallbladder out. Now realize all along it has been my pancreas. Ended up in the ER with elevated amylase and lipase. I just recently had an MRCP and have some questions on the results.
