Avatar m tn a month ago, ive started doing vigorous exercises which led me to be diagnosed with exercise-induced asthma. the pulmonologist gave me some medicines to take e.g montelukast, ventolin inhaler and symbicort. Xray for the sinus and chest were also ordered which resulted to bilateral nasal congestion and clear chest. The problem is, I have been experiencing symptom of dizziness. Its been a month now and I could not take it anymore. As if I am floating always.
Avatar n tn I took Montelukast (Singulair) for about one month and began having extreme nightmares and panic attacks. I stopped the montelukast immediately, and the nightmares stopped. But the panic attacks continue. I know others have had similar reactions, but I wonder if anyone has found out how to make the effects go away? I have been off the medication for over 3 months now.

Avatar m tn However for the past few nights, I have been wheezing and coughing in bed at night to the point it disrupts my sleep, leaving me dragging the next day. During the day I do not wheeze and cough, just laying down at night in bed. Should I go see my doctor, or is this something due to change in weather (it has become noticably cooler in this area the past couple days), or something the medication will correct in time? Avatar m tn At January 2011, my IgE was 1923 IU/ml. I took medicines named Fexofenadine Hydrochloride 180 mg (0+0+1), Montelukast 10 mg (1+0+0) and Flixonase Nasal Spray according to doctors' advice. But I stopped continuing medicine after 2 month when I felt well. After that, I used to catch cold all the year round. At december 2011, I became ill seriouly and went to the same doctor. According to test of December 2011, my IgE is 1590 IU/ml. My doctor says, I have been suffering from Rhino-Sinusitis.

And with that you're back to probably having to deal with it as an anxiety problem just as anyone else does, but in your case, as this is a new problem and you know exactly the trigger, I have much higher hopes you can overcome it than I would someone like me who has chronic anxiety for no apparent reason. You have real stuff to work on.

Avatar f tn While in India a pulmonologist at a good hospital diagnosed me with allergies and asthma (spiro something test before and after a med). I suddenly had developed wheezing and coughing after exposure to some toxic paint plus for a couple of years when I climb stairs I am short of breath. He said to take meds for a month at one dose and for another month at a half dose and to thereafter see another pulmonologist.

Avatar m tn I have been to several ENT specialsits but all of them prescribe me nasal sprays and a montelukast tablet at night which really doesnt help. Symptoms: 1. Constant thick white jelly mucus feeling like its coming from the back of my nose. 2. Balance issues : kind of like swaying motion. 3. always drained out and feel like sitting down all the time 4. No mucus present in my nose ever. Its like my nose is constantly dry. If anyone knows solutions to this problem. i would really appreciate it.

Avatar m tn both of ours symptoms get resolved if we take antihistamine like cetrizine + montelukast. But if we take fluticasone nasal spray, there is no improvement at all even after month..both of us get no relief from nasal sprays...even tried metaspray (mometasone). What is the reason behind this?? Is it genetics? Or the corticosteroid is not getting absorbed? Or its getting absorbed but not producing result.
