Okay...so I was diagnosed with anemia in November, and my doctor put me on Feosol(ferrous sulfate) in December. I haven't gotten a menstrual cycle since probably 2 weeks before Christmas. Does the feosol or sulfate supplement counteract cycles and cause them to stop?

I also only have 1 day of bleeding heavy enough for a pad on the next 2 days I could wear light days. The second and third day the blood is browinsh not red. What do you think may be causing this and should I consult a doctor? Oh someone said my blood may be low could this be possible? I've been having my menstrual cycle every 12-14 days for the last 3 months. My normal cycle is 5 days and I flow light however, this last one I was on it for 10 days!! Now I am will be starting again, because it's been every 12-14 days. What can this be? I am only 38 years old. I went to the doctor they took my blood, she is testing for Thyroid & Enima. I don't think it has to do with either one of them, but I will soon find out.

It would be a good idea to see your ob/gyn and have some blood work done to look at what your hormone levels are. They then could adjust them through contraceptive pill or synthetic hormones in order to regulate them. Do you have a regular doctor you can set that up with?
