Common Questions and Answers about What does generic wellbutrin xl look like

wellbutrin

Okay, I have been on Wellbutrin 300 xl (generic) for more than a month now. I am still a little jittery in the morning but not as bad. I get headaches every afternoon/evening and so I have to beat them to the punch with an Aleve at about 2:00 and even then I may still get the headache but just not as bad. Constipation has set in, still dealing with the dry mouth, and I have breakthrough panic attacks. I have been trying to self-coach my way through them..
Almost all my patients are on generic medications including generic toprol xl. There are some medications that have a recognized difference between brand name and generic, and there are some brand name drugs that do not have generics because they were too difficult to produce. The medication will be out of your system in less than 5 days. As far as lasting effects, it is difficult to say. Like I mentioned, I have not heard of this happening before and have no personal experience with it.
I thought it was because the med was generic, but even after getting the brand name, I still feel like ****. My posts even look rambling, disjointed, fearful and crazy. I was on celexa before and slept all the time, and was numb to the world. I have never felt this angry, aggressive and irritable before. (on or off medication) I think I'll be replacing the WB with exercise, good eating, and some good vitamins and supplements.
Today the lightbulb went on and I decided to look up what affect Wellbutrin might have on weight loss/gain. I'm not depressed so I don't want to take it for depression but I am so alarmed at this weight gain that I think I will go back and finish off my bottle until I figure it out. Has anyone else had this problem with quiting Wellbutrin?
But every one is different. Good luck to you. I like the Wellbutrin because the side effects are non existant for me.
I have been on wellbutrin xl for a little over a month. I feel like I am starving all of the time! I can't seem to control myself. My mood is better most of the time but I still feel like I could explode! Maybe I haven't been taking it long enough. Before I started taking it I had lost 40 lbs. I have started to regain some of that. Also, the seizures that everyone is talking about is making me a little nervous. I also take metformin.
I was on that for two months with only modest improvement. I since have seen a new psychiatrist who put me on Wellbutrin Xl 150 for one week and felt ok, then increased to 300mg. He also increased the Buspar to 60mg a day at the same time of adding the Wellbutrin. The first couple of days I felt better but then I went down hill fast at the 300mg level and he reduced it to 150mg. I have this gut feeling that the Buspar and Wellbutrin are fighting each other, multiple reasons to believe this.
Does anyone take Wellbutrin XL with this? How is that working out? I am concerned as take that also.
Needless to say that I didn't need all these medications as I am doing fine with my new psychiatrist only prescribing me the Wellbutrin XL which I get the generic for. Just try and be patient...look who's talking I know, but sometimes it just take a lot of trial and error to get the right fit we are all unique and so are medications.
i was put on wellbutrin xl (150 mg) back in january..ive been doing really good, and it has helped alot. My problem is that my copay for this is 50$ every time i fill it...this adds up after awhile...and ive been doing some research into supplements (vitamins) Ive read that gingko biloba can help with depression. My question is..does anyone know if you take the gingko ..will it counteract with my wellbutrin or cause any side affects?? I also recently found out my cholesterol is high, 231...
Although I think it has increased until I started Prozac last week (I only took it for 3 days and just switched to Bupropion XL 150 mg (generic Wellbutrin). I decided to try something again because I was told my symptoms could be because of depression...but I'm depressed because of my symptoms! I didn't feel any less tired, etc. while on the antidepressants in the past...Since Prozac causes sexual side effects, I didn't want to be on it.
It's like I feel like I don't know how to live without taking these pills every day, like I can't enjoy anything unless I am on pills and I'm scared that I will feel that way forever. I have also been on antidepressants (Wellbutrin XL) for a couple years and it helps, but not when it comes to fighting my cravings. How can I strengthen myself mentally? What can I look forward to when I'm miserable withdrawing every day, and will that WD depression ever go away?!
decide how u want to be and head for that....it is like when sliding on ice, we r told not to look at the ditch or that is where we will end up....look away toward where u want to go, or be.....
My heart was beating out of control. I was having muscle spasms and I felt like I couldn't move my legs. I didn't know what to do so my girlfriend called an ambulance and I went to the hospital. They checked my blood for lyme disease, vitamin deficiencies, poisons, blood sugar. The doctor told me that they tested my blood for everything under the sun. They gave me a ct scan and a ekg. They send me home with no diagnosis. I was still tingling and very dizzy.
Sorry, kido, started refinishing my outdoor deck in the late afternoon and kind of exhausted myself. Back to your first psyc's note about you not being a patient. I would take a written request from your present doctor and hand carry it to your first psyc. Maybe take their bill with you to prove you were in there. There is a reason he tried you on concerta (still think that there was a reaction between the paxil and the concerta).
Pain relievers such as Advil, Nuprin, Motrin and menstrual cramp medications like Midol and Trendar. All drugs containing the widely used pain reliever Ibuprofen are known to cause positive samples for Marijuana. Non-steroidal anti inflammatories such as Naproxyn have cross reacted in blind tests. These are often prescribed for runners, sports injuries to joints, and those suffering from arthritis.
Off and on for the last year, I have experienced what feels like an adrenalin surge that wakes me up from sleep and usually occurs around 4:00-5:00 in the a.m. I can literally feel it coming on and then my heart rate goes up. My heart rate goes up around 110-120 bpm and feel anxious, arms feel a tingling sensation. I am 55 years old and have recently had an echo sonogram and stress test. The cardiologist could not find anything and stated that my valves looked good.
heya, Glad I came across this community, enjoyed reading some of the posts, helpful info for sure. Currently I am taking Wellbutrin XL, topamax, Lamictal, and Xanax (for sleep) and have been feeling desperate on what to try next for my Bipolar. I started on meds over 10 years ago when I was "diagnosed" (although not told with that terminology", then put eventually on Seraquel, Zoloft, Prozac, Buspar, Celexa......
If the attempt is being made to treat your depression with opiate therapy, I'm not sure Subutex or Subpxone is the right opiate...You're getting this from a doctor right? What does the doctor say about this side effect? That's who you need to be talking with. Breathing difficulties are nothing to mess with,as you know! It isn't anxiety is it? Call the doctor and good luck with this!
(if i am lucky, which i am usually not.) Well, i like this web page here, and i like to hear what this drug has done, and is doing for others, so please continue to post!!!!! I will continue too! I will continue to update. (not on a daily basis though, not to worry....lol....
I was on a combo of Wellbutrin XL and Topo but for me the combo was not working (Wellbutrin would make me really "witchy" and irritated). For years previous to this combination I was a victim (hate that word but I'll use it for now) of the SSRIs and yes like many of you I gained the dreaded 40/50 pounds!! Now I am fighting to get them off, and have found Topamax like you have.
There are meds for depression. You need to get thee to a dr. and get something. I swear by Wellbutrin xl and I have a friend who feels the same way about Lexapro. You don't have to feel this way- depession is a horrible way to live. BUT you don't need those evil opiates to combat it- in the long run you know in your heart of hearts that they will only make things worse.. You have been a rock here for many. YOU ARE A WOMAN! Cowgirl -up!
Sometimes a small difference, or a different med helps immensely. My own ad's are lexapro 20mg and wellbutrin XL 300mg daily.
i think that with drugs like effexor, the only way to lose the weight you gain from them is to go off of them ( i am not suggesting that, esp if it helps you to feel better)- just saying that from what ive heard, as long as they are in your body, they alter your metabolism and make it super slow, making it nearly impossible to lose weight and a sure way to gain weight. i have heard that in some cases they alter your metabolism permanantly, but i am skeptical of that.
I have been experiencing nausea, vomiting, uncontrollable crying, body sweats, hot/cold spells, severe headaches, diahrrea, mood swings, body aches and my hands and feet turned bright red and itch like a mother...and that's just what I can name off the top of my head. Which still is not all there. I can barely focus enough to come to work and driving is extremely scary. I don't know whether I'm coming or going. Please, if anybody is going through this or has already gone through this.
Now i just walk around on egg shells. I just don't know what is going on with him. Does this sound like someone who is addicted to fioricet or do you think its just something else? How would I even approach him on it? Thank you so much for your help!
I CANT FIGURE OUT WHY LEXAPRO CAUSES WEIGHT GAIN, BUT IT DOES I DONT CARE WHAT THE DOCS SAY ABOUT IT NOT CAUSING WEIGHT GAIN, THEY ARE LYING! I HAVE BEEN ON 20 MG. FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW AND HAVE GAINED 15 POUNDS, I WAS "MAINTAINING CHUBBY" BEFORE LEXAPRO AND NOW I'M JUST STRAIGHT UP FAT. I AM NOW ON 1O MG. AND I ACTUALLY FEEL BETTER, A FEW WITHDRWAL SYPMTOMS, NOT BAD THOUGH. I TRIED TAKING 10 MG.
