Hello, i was taking Wellbutrin Xl 300mg for 2 yrs. the last 6 months i was taking a generic brand. However, i became very depressed i the last 2 months. i was hospilized 3 weeks ago. They took me off of Wellbutrin and now i take Celexa and Remeron. However, i dont like their side effects. So today i switched back to Wellbutrin. Can i do this? i took it around 9:20am this morning, then 20 min later i began to feel lightheaded and my heart was racing. Is this normal?

I started taking my wellbutrin XR 2 days ago for severe depression again. Haven't had to take it for a long while now. Cannot remember how long it takes. I wish it worked in a day. I ned relief of this. I have lost 7 lbs in a week, cannot eat, do not want to eat, do not want to do nothing. Just want to lay and sleep...... Buproprion is just the chemical name for the brand name Wellbutrin. Buproprion SR means Substained Released. Indeed the generic could be not working, I've seen this happen in some people. Better check this out with his doctor.

Hi, My suggestion is take a list of the medications that you have taken in the past to your new psychiatrist. They can then tell what classes of medications these medications fit into. t take long for my doc to confirm my ADD-PI and he prescribed Aderral 10 mg to take once a day along with Wellbutrin XL 150. He said I might need a higher dose or switch to the XR later. Has anyone tried both at the same time? I got the generic version of Aderral and surprised how cheap it was. Should this be taken every day or only when I have lots to do and need to concentrate? I thought it was odd to she was against prescribing Wellbutrin XL for major depression. I would like to present literature, or something to her so she can change my prescription to Wellbutrin XL. I know taking reg Wellbutrin I am not good with taking more than one pill per day. Also I have heard the regular Wellbutrin, it is too much of a dose at once causing more side effects such as anxiety, shakiness, etc.

What was the explanation? Read up on the med and what the company advises. Are you on name brand or generic? There IS A DIFFERENCE!!!! Taken at night it could affect your sleep. Read up on other forums and what individuals have found out about using WB.
