milk

Avatar f tn Id like to know too thanks for posting this question!
Avatar f tn Keep in mind that he just might be curious what breast milk tastes like. You could ask him that. If he wants to try it just to see how it tastes, you'll probably have a pump, right? or be able to hand-express a little into a cup, and just give it to him. If he insists he wants to try it "from the source," you might think he's doing it for erotic reasons, and that is why it is bothering you? Ask him. If it is an erotic interest, then think over how you feel about that.
1345697 tn?1430619021 s true that some strongly flavored foods may change the taste of your milk, most babies seem to enjoy a variety of breast milk flavors! Generally, the dominant flavors of your diet — whether soy sauce or chili peppers — were in your amniotic fluid during pregnancy. Fetuses swallow a fair amount of amniotic fluid before birth, so when they taste those flavors again in their mother's breast milk, they're already accustomed to them.
192291 tn?1345400135 im not sure....i dont see why it would...i think they tell you to stop anyways if your pregnant again because it makes you uterus contract and its not good for the baby in there...as for the taste..no clue? Avatar f tn I try not to eat onions when breastfeeding it has always given my babies tummy aches And it smells gross if your pumping so I'm sure that it doesn't taste very good. If I don't eat enough when I'm breastfeeding my supply decrease so do skip meals and eat healthy snacks along with plunty of water.
Avatar f tn There's nothing you can do while pregnant since milk doesn't come in until after birth. I use this herbal tincture called mother's milk, it helps to bring in your breast milk at an increased volume. It doesn't always work for everyone but it does work for me and has for one of my friends that I have bought it for. You can purchase it from amazon if you're interested.
Avatar f tn Actually just like breast milk, what we eat and drink does alter the taste of the amniotic fluid, although there's no real way to tell whether or not she likes or dislikes it
Avatar f tn If the bottle of infant formula tastes like breast milk he will accept the bottle more. Try mixing ¾ breast milk and ¼ infant formulas at first. If he does accept it, then after a week or so, try doing a bottle mix of ½ breast milk, and ½ formulas. If you wish, you can gradually go to a bottle mix of ¼ breast milk and ¾ formulas, then totally to all formula depending on how he accepts it. This way you will use up the breast milk and he will get used to the formula taste.
Avatar f tn What could have caused that yucky taste or feeling? Let's say it was breast milk would it have been a risk?
Avatar f tn I tasted my milk when it came in. Lol :) had to taste what my babies were tasting. I see why they lkve it too! Tastes way better than formula thats for sure.
192291 tn?1345400135 I don't think your milk would stop really because I have heard of people getting pregnant again when still breastfeeding. The thing you have to worry about though is because of all the hormones it can make the milk taste funny and the baby won't want to breastfeed anymore because she doesn't like the taste.
Avatar f tn I don't think any foods are going to make your breast milk better than what it is already. I do know for sure that certain foods will make the baby fussy or gassy...to me was beans, eggs, any of the dark veggies like broccoli or collard greens. Don't know if it's different for each person.
764229 tn?1322519884 Does what I eat have anything to do with the way my baby's poop smells LOL,cuz some days OMG, just wondering as he only gets breastmile.
Avatar n tn You had no risk. You would not have been exposed to enough milk for a risk. Babies when exposed are drinking ounces daily, not a little bit.
Avatar f tn It's true. According to research what mommy eats can influence the taste of the amniotic fluid, much like it affects breast milk....
5624774 tn?1374284525 I agree with hazel, you can still breastfeed but try and find what foods she does like to help top up. Rusks or weetabix or porridge. Even a mashed up banana or something.
327668 tn?1224792350 He said it can improve health conditions of HIV positive people, increase breast milk in lactating mothers, lead to improved health of babies and also treat a number diseases such as TB, diabetes, heart problems, lower blood sugar levels, eye and ear infections and many other diseases.
Avatar f tn Everything lindsagain said and there are other things to try couple different teas from the mothers milk one (I agree horrible taste) and supplements and certain foods are suppose to help boost milk production like oatmeal.
Avatar n tn Most breast-feed infants do not like infant formula and need it mixed with breast milk to accept it. If the bottle of infant formula tastes like breast milk she will accept the bottle more. Try mixing ¾ breast milk and ¼ infant formula at first. If she does accept it, then after a week or so, try doing a bottle mix of ½ breast milk, and ½ formula. If you wish, you can gradually go to a bottle mix of ¼ breast milk and ¾ formulas, then totally to all formula depending on how she accepts it.

Avatar n tn Try someone else offering the bottle to him, because you smell like breast milk. Also taste the milk if you offering formula, because breast milk is sweet, a lot of formulas taste horrid! Mostly I found it was just perseverance. If you dr has no problems with his poo-ing patern the don't force a change. It could cause problems where once there wasn't any. Good luck!
1209036 tn?1299178657 he should still get milk during the day and at night until hes 12 mths and thats the recommended age for formula fed babies. but breast milk is awesome until you decide not to breast feed anymore. i fed my kids cereal when my husband and i would sit down for dinner, i feel it bonds us at dinner time :) but continue feeding milk, dont cut it out. just replace that one bottle around dinner time for the cereal. thats what i meant.
Avatar n tn My boyfriend recently told me my breasts always has a taste to them but I don’t know what to tell him that causes them to have an onion like taste. Even after I get out the shower and we get intimate I can taste and smell his mouth like onions. All I can think is maybe the soap I’m using? Maybe I should be using an unscented one instead of a strong scented one..
Avatar n tn Start with ¾ breast milk and ¼ Pedisure or Milk, go to half and half, then ¼ breast milk and ¾ Pedisure or Milk, and finally to all Pedisure or Milk. You can do each mix every 3-4 days as long as she is accepting the mixture. She will get used to the Pedisure or Milk taste gradually. Suggest trying other dairy sources, such as yogurt and cheese, too once she accepts milk and or Pediasure. Hoped this helped you.
Avatar f tn I was about 25 weeks, it's clear sometimes has a yellowish color.
1289083 tn?1276054732 So to transmit HIV to an adult from breast milk that person would have to drink it like a baby would drink it and that is out of the question.
