i have had 1 reading at 201 2 at 180 and i just got one at 197 i dont get thursty i kinda feal like i drank a lot of caffien i mean a lot. my head would hurt a bit. i dont know if this is normal when it it high. My ??? is even thow i got 2 highs but they are almost 1 month apart is there something going wrong? I know i should go make a apt, but i want more info before i go in. I have tried to get a hold of him but no luck he wont call back so i turn to you all.
The weird thing, now, is that I rarely ever feel hungry---even when I can feel my blood sugar dropping, I have to force myself to eat. Rumpled---is the adrenaline surge what makes some of us stress eaters??? I used to be a stress eater before I lost the hunger sensation---i only get the munchies in the evening for some reason.

I've never been overweighth, not a drinker, all blood stuff (other than liver) in good shape. Blood sugar just real high. Went on daily insulin ( I called my HCV diabetes 'adding insulin to injury'. Started tx and continued the insulin. After about week 12 went to the endocrine guy who said that glucose level (AIC and other related) were all in normal range and to discontinue the insulin. One suggestion is for him to first treat the low blood sugar in the appropriate way, with a small amount of juice or some sweets. I also seem to have a lower tolerance for carbs in the morning. Cereals always spike my blood sugar. I prefer scrambled eggs with sauteed onions. Limit the morning carbs. Cereals are generally bad news, though she may want to experiment with things like oatmeal, which maybe slower digested. FOr all of us it's a matter of experimenting. Working out how many carbs we can handle and what foods work for us. Eat and test and then modify diet until targets can be reached.

If you want to examine this, ask your doctor for a 24 hour measuring (you wear a blood pressure cuff for 24 hours which inflates 2-3 times/hour through the day). You could also ask for a 24 hour EKG monitoring, just to make sure you are in a normal rhythm all day, but I'm not sure that's necessary if you otherwise feel OK.
