Avatar f tn What happened to you? You used to be a nice guy! Have you stopped taken pax? Let me tell you something I don't know your age but I'm 69 and In great shape!! I'm on coumadin and have to be careful on my protein intake as in interferes with coumadin and I have to watch my vitamin K as you know that helps clotting so I'm limited to my greens. My six pack isn't what it used to be. I'm at the gym 5 days per week! P.S.
Avatar n tn Hi Everyone, I have been trying these for months and months but it doesn’t help me anymore. I am talking about six pack abs that I am trying to get. I joined a gym for this and the trainer told me that I would get them…but NOOOO!! That did not help me and later on I have tried a few tips that I have been suggested by my friends but that also was of no use (the whole thing helped the abs a little…but not as I wanted).
Avatar m tn Hi people, everyone has concerns about the well being of their child I too have some. Lately, he is getting mad to get the abs (six pack abs as they call it). I don’t think that this is something bad but the ways he is trying is a bit crazy. He believes all that is being told to him and I can’t figure out how he can get them without training the right way with the right exercises.
Avatar n tn For a six-pack to show, you must reduce body fat. The body fat percentage necessary to reveal a cut torso varies according to your genes and body type, but for most men, a percentage of 6 to 8 percent will reveal abs, while for women require a percentage of about 11 to 13 percent. To reduce body fat, reduce calories below what you burn daily, which can be determined by finding your basal metabolic rate. A 250- to 500- deficit daily will lead to a 1/2- to 1-pound weight loss in a week.
Avatar n tn Genetics have a lot to do with it. In other words, not everyone has the ability to have picture perfect 6-pack abs. What kind of ab exercises are you doing? And no, its not a waste of time. Working out is making you healthier. Something like 6 pack abs aren't always the best indicator of who is healthy and who is not.
Avatar f tn For me, hard work hard physical labor such as yard work, lifting, perhaps building a wall with stone ... this was the type of work that got me a six pack, but at the same time I was losing weight for a health problem (Celiac) so my body fat got low.
Avatar f tn Not that anyone knows how to best work the abs, though, as far as I can tell. For six pack abs, quite frankly, most who have them don't get them through exercise -- it's a sure sign of steroid use, since the belly should have some fat. You'll never see agricultural or hunter-gatherer cultures with flat stomachs. Other than this, the above post is right on.
Avatar m tn gymdandee knows what he is talking about so listen to him.
Avatar f tn For your stomach the stuff u are doing doesn't target your stomach nessaairly. Wht I do is go on pintress or google and look up abb workbouts and that's wht I do to tone my stomach. Or look up ways to tone my stomach.
Avatar f tn Hi I'm an athlete; I'm a pretty active one too. I was wondering what I can do to get a stronger core. I don't want like a six pack or anything, but I would like to see some definition. I am a water polo player. I also eat healthy and drink lots of water. Any tips thanks!
Avatar m tn First you're only 16 so you're still growing. But understand this! The steps to get the low body fat levels necessary to show six-pack abs are very, very strict than those you'd have to do to drop a few pounds and reach a healthy weight and, may not even be possible, depending on your genetic makeup. A six-pack is when your body fat level is low enough to reveal the segments that divide your front sheath of muscle fibers on your torso.
Avatar n tn Just wondering how do u tighten your lower abs cause crunches do the upper but not so much the lower,

Avatar f tn I got my six pack back after my first. After my 4th, it was harder. I was able to have definition but always had a bit of a pooch in the lower area. I'm sure it will be the same after babe 5.
Avatar f tn Many articles written about the flat abs fantasy. One geneticist stated its all in the genes for having a six pack. The goal should really be to decrease belly fat. I work out a lot, but my body just will never have the Hollywood abs mythos and I am fine with that. You are right. Its not normal.
Avatar f tn Realize that super cut/ripped people like fitness models and muay thai fighters DO NOT look like that all the time. For most people, being completely ripped all the time is not actually healthy and they have to do a lot of dangerous things to get that way, and they only do it temporarily for fights or aesthetic competitions. For example, in order to get super ripped they completely dehydrate themselves and do things like sweat in a sauna without drinking water for a long time.
Avatar m tn A push-up not only helps you to get a stronger upper body, but also a stronger midsection. It incorporates the stabilization muscles of your core, combining an upper-body pushing movement with a plank. It is, in fact, one of the best and most basic exercises for your midsection. Push-ups are a higher value plank.
12693075 tn?1442246392 My friends did not use this... Their stomachs did not return to prepregnancy state.
Avatar f tn It's not muscle memory lol.. it's that after ur 1st ur stomach muscles are not as tight as a 1st timer so it shows faster cuz it's loose. But if u exercised n worked on ur abs n they r strong then it will be the same as a 1st timer. This is my 3 n I exercises n had a six pack after my pregnancies so even on my 3rd I didn't show til 25 weeks.
Avatar f tn You get a flat stomach by dieting, any exercise will help build some muscle there but most people have a six pack underneath the fat already, and everyone has a "flat stomach underneath the fat.. This is why and on skinny guys don't count :P Also, a lot of people's pooch or whatever you call it has a lot to do with inflammation of the digestive track.
Avatar f tn Hi, i'm 13 years old and i do not know what to do. My friends say i'm not fat, but i feel like i am. I am 7 stone 13 pounds and i do gymnastics 18 hours a week. 1565702 tn?1295292830 d probably be wanting to smoke five or six cigarettes an hour, like I often times do on nights and weekends. I imagine it wouldnt be too long living in that 50s or 60s Mad Men like world, smoking five or six cigarettes an hour, and instead of just smoking three or maybe four packs a day, Id probably routinely smoke at least four or five packs a day. Five packs a day, I cant even imagine it now, but I've heard stories of people who really did used to smoke that much.
5581828 tn?1379811492 I had no infections or anything and I did use ice on my stomach a few times with a rag as a buffer, which did help. You said you are 7 weeks out? My discomfort did not last that long. I do not have 6 pack abs, my stomach has been through alot in the last 7 years :) Best of luck to you.
Avatar n tn I have that problem... I'm 38&1 yesterdays growth the baby was 6lbs 3oz. Gaining one pound every 2 weeks, which is good. As long as the baby is gaining weight it's a good thing. I look at it like... Who wants to have a 8 pound baby? My 1st was 6lbs 14oz she was full 40 weeks, this one I'm being induced at 39&1 .
