Once the hair begins to grow back, my legs become very uncomfortable and extremely itchy. Lotions usually do nothing to soothe my skin. Hello. Whenever I attempt to walk quickly, my legs begin to itch uncontrollably, and then turns in to intense pain. It begins in my feet, moves up my ankles and then to my chins, then thighs and butt. It happens before I start sweating, but after my heart rate goes up a little bit. This happens in the city when I am walking to work or to the bus stop - it also happens in the gym on the tread mill. So I avoid walking as much as I can.
My legs get really itchy after shaving and at night while sleeping I start scratching them sometimes even without realizing it. And now I have scratches and marks everywhere on my legs, they don't seem to disappear. This is really embarrassing. Any ideas of what should I do? I've tried some balms and home made remedies but they don't seem to work!!
Hello, a few years ago I had a microscopic parasite that made my legs itchy so when it happened again I went to my Doctor but he told me there were no holes so it was probably an allergic reaction, he gave me a cream that helped a little but didn't stop it.

Hi, i'm 20 years old. My temp. is normal. First, i have this burning sensation in my neck for about 5 days, sometimes at the same time on my head, back, arms and legs and ears. But the worst is that at night, i can't sleep because of the burning feeling. When i lie down on my back, the burning's on my back, legs, and back of my head, if lie down on my side, my side's burning.

Basically, it is my understanding that there's about four major causes (could be more): such as:
infection (such as viral or bacterial),
metabolic (such as B12 deficiency),
demyelinating process (such as MS but are other processes)
and vascular (such as hypertension).
There are many MS mimicks that can give you the sensations and/or symptoms you're experiencing.
I have yet to take the drug but I am going to let you know if it also helps with the itchy legs. I really dont think the itchy legs are caused by histamines. I think the problem is Eosinophil mediated. It makes sense that inhibiting leukotriene's might solve both problems.

For about a month or so I would get VERY itchy legs, especially my lower legs, after showers. Worse yet I would wake up in the middle of the night scratching like mad! I found this site and tried Hydrocortizone cream as suggested in a comment here. It worked at first, but still I woke up itching like crazy. I tried different itch relief lotions that contain oatmeal but they were of no avail.
I read a comment for curing bilateral itchy legs a while back and it has totally worked for me and I want to share it! My legs started itching bilaterally all of a sudden and would really itch more after a shower and at night time when I was in bed. It was driving me crazy! I had no rashes or bumps but the scratching was leaving my legs bruised. Then I read a comment on this website and all I had to do was exfoliate my legs in the shower a couple of times a week! That's it!
s disease but it is in remission. I have had really itchy legs for about 2 years. Not sure if this is started when I was pregnant 2 yrs ago or if just is happening as I get older. My legs itch all the time and are worse after I shave. I have tried vrious creams, natural shave creams, not shaving and nothing helps. Heavy creams just make my legs break out. I believe it is something internal, possibly related to crohn's (an immune system response) or a deficiency in vitamins or minerals.
Have you been to any doctor yet? Any fatigue or anxiety or any other symptoms?
