Last time I took treatment about half way through my tongue got these little bumps on it an it wasn't pleasant Now after just a week and a half the same bumps are on my tongue, hurts, Burns so bad when I eat. I remember this from last time because I thought to myself people don't even realize what they have until they don't have it. I know sounds weird. does anyone else have this problem? If so what r u doing for it?
Howdy- Well, I went to our local health clinic this morning and saw a lovely doctor who drew blood and did a culture of my tongue. She also didn't think it was anything to worry about, but wanted me to be sure. However, she did say she would do both and IGG test and an IGM test, which I hear (from these boards) is utterly useless and may give a false positive? Should I cancel the IGM test, or at least see what happens? what are the chances of false positive? Thanks!
Stille have horrible cobblestone bumps on back of torque, burning tongue and stinging lips. Nothing I do seems to help.. Eyes burn constantly and sore throat.. Spoke to pop, oncologist. Nothing. Anyone have any other suggestions?
Anyway my 2nd oral outbreak I believe started w a sensitive feeling inside my mouth in my inside left cheek and sensation travelled to front of my mouth. Then I had all bumps on my tongue raised same colour as tongue some size of a tac some tiny raised taste buds. Also had craters at side of tongue and tip. 3 dr said not herpes one dr said maybe. Got it swabbed 4 days after presentation of symptoms 1. what does herpes look like on the tongue vs another viral outbreak or just stomatis? 2.
Don't know what it could be but it would not be STD related from over a year ago.
no, not that I'm aware of... That being said, I've had unprotected sex with women in my day... not for the last six months or so however, in fact once in the past 2 years... have been in a relationship since my last encounter. When you say "no its not" - do you mean hairy tongue isn't an hiv related problem? and sorry - what is OHL? Thanks again, I've been stressing out about this for a month constantly...
And by telling him what is going on he'll know better what tests to ask for on your blood as they don't routinely order everything. He may want to do them now and again when you are more fully recovered and balanced. If it's okay with you please share the results. I find this very interesting from the science side... on the human side I just hope you feel better soon!
Learn to live with it, eh? Great advice. I've had an orange tongue now for a week. I brush most of it off before going to bed - I gag if I go back too far - and it's actually not too bad when I wake up. But by the time I get home from work my tongue is almost completely orange again. I've also had a sore throat since I noticed it. My diet has not changed nor has any medication that I take. Not sure if I need to go to the doctor or a dentist.
Hi amesw, Did you ever figure out what the tiny bumps on your lips were? My symptoms sound exactly like what you have. I also have thought that it could possibly be Fordyce, but the small patch of bumps on my lip are sooo tiny and are the same color as my lip that it doesn't seem to match the Fordyce symptoms. Like you, my lips are dry (they normally are not) and the small patch of very tiny bumps feels scaly when i run my tongue over it.
But that wouldn't explain his pen tiped sized bumps that are all in a line around the bottom of his penis head. Way too much and way too systematic cause it is on a line. I do understand what you mean, and internet diagnosing is not reliable or safe. But the only reason I would state that is cause what he has described is way too systematic for other symptoms. Bottom line: Please confirm with the doctor as I am not a professional doctor.
I looked in a magnified mirror and found that a lot of the tiny bumps on my tongue (which our tongues have if you look at them closely) appeared red and almost inflamed. I rinse with hydrogen peroxide and it hurts like heck but it hasn't helped any. Last night I stopped into a "minute clinic" because I wasn't able to get away from work this week to see my Dr., anyhow, the minute clinic told me they don't treat this sort of thing so I was out of luck. I plan on seeing my Dr.
I have streaks of white stuff all over my tongue, and it doesn't rub off. And I don't mean the usual white stuff you expect to see on your tongue. I mean, I can kind of draw lines in it and shift it a little bit, but when I try to scrape it with my fingernails or a note card or something it stays right where it is. It's fairly thick. And on the very back of my tongue I have a series of pupil-sized bumps. Both of my doctors also say that these bumps are normal.
Actually, the same exact thing has happened to me and is happening to me now. I had an encounter but had unprotected oral sex with a guy. 17 days later, I noticed two red sores at the tip of my tongue that did not hurt at all. They disappeared 4 days later. However, they came back two weeks ago on Friday, this time with three (one on the side a lil) and lasted 3 days. I also had a white bump at the back of my throat that time.
i looked at my tongue today just because i'm paranoid and there is a sore on each side of my tongue. They are not painful at all and look like a divot and are whitish on the sides. No sores/ itchyness or anything on my penis/balls that i can notice. I also have been feeling a little off, but i'm really stressed because of school and paranoia of thinking I have an STD, and when i don't think about it or relax the feeling goes away.
I did show hsv1 + through an IGG type specific test, but Terri Warren doesn't believe my symptoms are related. I have never had acne issues and suddenly I do. I have bumps on my chest, shoulders, chin, and forhead. Burning sensation on vagina went away after taking flagyl. All stds came back -. I have had discharge for a couple days randomly. Doctor said it has to be hsv1. Now my armpits and groin area sometimes bother me. I also have had a white coating on my tongue since 8/14.
ok, so I'm getting the same problem too. After reading all of these comments im kind of getting scared about having herpes or something. About 4 days ago I noticed that i got little cuts on the corners of my lips and that there was a little white thing on it that looked like a pimple but it isnt, and the tip of my tongue reallyyy hurts like crazyy. I have noticed that there are little white bumps on it .. and i usually never have that.
I have a quick question for members on the forum and would appreciate your response. A few weeks back, I seem to get a feeling that my tongue was "cut", it looked bumpy from couple of places. I dont take any medicine, but was going through a period of high annxiety/stress. Dint get anything else in my mouth, lips or cheeks.
It seems to be foliate pappitis to me but what do I know. I do know that I have cut wayyyy back on sugar (about 90%) and things have improved. I've never eaten too much sugar anyways but do see an improvement if I reduce refined sugars. In any event, you folks are in good company. I just wish there was something I could do. I also have GERD but basically it's not too bad.
First I got this rash on the sides of my cheeks and around my nose, little red bumps (it was not acne). I tried all kinds of things and what helped the most was Caladryl on the rash areas. I would apply it at bedtime. It took out the redness and dryed up the rash bumps, but I had a mess with the dryness.
The ID doctor said he couldn't see anything. My tongue is covered in the back and under my tongue with bumps. I have tried changing diet, eating yogurt, anything else anyone suggests. I've about decided I'm going to have to live with this. I really hope not. Any suggestions?
After a day or two, the soft, white bumps disappear, and what's left seems like a slightly reddish, shallow hole in my tongue Sometimes they bumps are clustered near each other. once a part of the tongue heals, the bumps appear on other parts of my tongue. Sugary foods make it feel even worse. Citrus stings. Talking and eating hurt. You can barely see the whitish bump or the "hole." Most people would look at the tongue and not think it looks unusual.
I get the little bumps on my hands (palms mostly but sometimes up on my fingers depending on the severity of the "break out") and on my feet (much rarer). I went to the doctor for it as a child eveytime it happened and after years of lotions, creams and steroids it still is hasn't gone away, although I've started to note patterns of break outs and they've gotten less frequent and severe. I've found at least 3 seperate triggers that cause break outs for me. The first is stress.
I had the same problem with itchy little bumps with clear liquid on my thumb. what worked for me was soaking my thumb in baking soda with warm water for 10 minutes. I did that a couple times a day for about a week and then it went away.
I also noticed some tiny flesh colored bumps under my tongue and on the side of my tongue. I called the guy I had sex with and asked him if he had been tested recently and he said he had last week and tested negative for everything including herpes. I am planning on going to the gyno some time next week but am having serious anxiety about the whole thing. I am SO worried because I am only 19 years old and have my whole life ahead of me.
I've had mouth sores for a long time that have become particularly bothersome since I started treatment (now at 37/72). My symptoms include the white patches on the tongue and sores on my cheeks and gums. In addition, once in awhile I get standard cold/canker sores on my lips. I eventually made my way to an oral surgeon who biopsied my tongue (ouch!). I was negative for dysplasia, but the biopsy was inderminate for the root cause and didn't help the pain go away.
so i noticed that i have some bumps underneath my tounge and they hurt and i also noticed white spots on the sides of my tounge i think theyre taste buds im not sure. does this mean i have herpes yes i do give and receive oral sex with my bf who has only been with me. what are the causes of HSV-1 is there a possibility of me being infected? what are the symptoms if they show? thank you.
I have a script waiting to be picked up.... what should i do? Pick it up and taper or what. Although I don't take more than 1 1/2 at a time ...i do know that i take them out of fear of having the pain (even if i may not have it as bad, and perhaps advil would suffice...and because its habit. I have ready so many of your posts...you guys are awesome..and i would love some vetern advice.

There were a number of pimple-sized bumps. The same bumps are also on the sides of the tongue toward the back. When I stick my finger down my throat, I can run my fingers over what feel like the same bumps down at the end of my tongue where it meets the middle of my throat. Nothing hurts right now. I just have a general dryness of the mouth. I'm really freaking out. Is this consistent with the symptoms of oral herpes?
