Avatar n tn Hi Frequent washing or prolonged exposure to water may cause wrinkles on the skin. In the absence of redness, scaling, discharge and pain in the area, this may not be something that you should be very worried about. Just avoid manipulating the area. Avoid prolonged exposure to water. You may use a mild or light vitamin E cream over the affected area to moisturize it. Observe if the skin improves in appearance.
Avatar m tn ve heard a few people state that they use olive oil as a natural skin softener. What about applying it directly to my face overnight? Is this a safe way to reduce or help with wrinkles?
Avatar m tn Okay, so after a lot of research I have found NO explanation of this but I have come to a conclusion of my own. I have wrinkles in my scalp. Much more noticeable with buzzed or very SHORT hair. Started throughout my SECOND growth spurt (@ 17) and have been there ever since. Most people that have this same issue had it begin around the same time between age 16 and 20.
Avatar n tn ” If you soak in water long enough, protective oils get depleted from your skin. Water can leak in to your skin after awhile. In warm water like in a bathtub or pool, the thick skin on your fingers and toes tends to absorb water and swell. But this swelling doesn’t happen uniformly. Instead, the regions of skin that are most heavily anchored from below will remain lower than the more softened and swollen regions. The result – those temporary wrinkles on your fingers and toes.
Avatar m tn I don't spend a lot of time in the sun, I have had a physical and am healthy, but the skin on the top of my hands is sort of shiny, dry but wrinkly. I am only 39. The top layer of my skin on my legs also is wrinkly. My hands are obvious to my family, but my legs they are not close enough to see. I can only describe it as the very top layer looks almost like an onion skin layer with wrinkles. I don't know if this is a good way to word it.
Avatar f tn Hello. I have been told by a dermatologist that I have acne and keratoses pilaris. The keratoses pilaris started on my upper shoulders a few moths ago but seems to have spread to my face as well. Since I've been to the dermatologist, I've now noticed that my forehead skin feels stiff and tight. When I pinch the skin, it feels hard. I'm getting lines/wrinkles between my eyebrows and can feel the stiffness when a raise my eyebrows. What could be causing this?
Avatar m tn just after you turn off the shower, but while your still in the shower and your still wet, take some baby oil and just put a little in your hands, a little goes a long way, rub hands together then rub the oil all over yourself where your having problems with dry skin. Rub it in good, then just very lightly pat yourself dry with a towel. It's actually much better for your skin if you can air dry.......but not everyone is willing to do that. Lol! Good luck to you!
Avatar n tn How are you? Here are some tips on wrinkle prevention and anti wrinkle products reviewed from this link: http://www.wrinklereview.com/prevention.html Do not smoke because smoking exposes your skin to all those damaging free radicals. Avatar f tn Dear Dr. Bhupinder Kaur, I am the person who had an electrolysis mishap in April of 2008. Since the incident I found out the hard way what happens when I go out into sunlight. The first summer began with deep scabs and ended with a scar that looked like a mustache and wrinkles around my mouth with some pitting. There is also pitting around my brows, one of which turned into a wrinkle above one brow.
Avatar n tn When I first noticed the wrinkles in my fingertips I thought it would go away with lotion. I think I was exposed to some kind of harsh cleaner at work, but I'm not sure. I've never had any prior problems. No health allergies. No bumps, scales or lesions, and they don't itch. My fingetips are very sensitive though. I went to the doctor for them and they gave me a steroid ointment called Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% it doesn't seem to be doing the job.
Avatar f tn In college I lifted weight for 3 weeks and got a thick stretch mark on my arm. I said fine, I just don't have to lift weights. At 21 I got some fine stretch marks on my hip from working at a restaurant. Life will go on. At 24, I developed a double wrinkle around my neck, thinning of the skin over the clavicles, and rosacea (what a year!). I thought it was from the jock itch cream I was taking and I waited for the wrinkles to fill back in which they didni't. Then I forgot about it.
Avatar m tn May I know what causes this allergy ? Sometimes am having small allergy sensation on my wrinkles of hands ( once in 3 mnths like that ) .. Please do reply... Regards,...
Avatar f tn and its an aging change of the cornea like our hair turning grey and wrinkles in the skin. It is normal after 60. When it occurs in people younger than that blood levels of cholesterol should be measured because high levels of that blood lipid (fat) can cause corneal arcus at young age (called arcus juvenalis). No one is fond of aging changes in the body no matter where they occur. Such is the lot of humankind that we cannot stop the sands of time.
Avatar n tn Hello, The advertised creams have not proved in efficacy to tackle under eye wrinkles. For undereye wrinkles, botox shots and collagen fillers have proven to be very effective and hence I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and discuss it in detail. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
1323580 tn?1274669941 She said it would be a few months before i would see any visible improvement in skin and wrinkles but how much much can i reasonably expect. I also forgot to ask if i could use the tretinoin under the eyes because i have heard that the skin is very thin under there.

Avatar n tn I am just wondering if maybe it is staying to moist under the fore skin so it wrinkles like you hands do when you keep them in water too long. I know that they say you should keep it really dry under the fore skin to avoid infections.
Avatar n tn This flab of skin causes my right eyelid to fold at the wrong place (meaning, a little lower than where my left eyelid folds). It makes my eyes look like they're different sizes and it looks really weird. From far away it may seem as if my eyes are misaligned, but they really aren't! It's just that annoying flab of skin over my eye! I'd REALLY like to fix this problem, please help. By the way, I am 14 years old and, so, I don't have any signs of aging...
Avatar f tn I noticed something different on the left scrotum in the wrinkles. Unlike the rest of the skin, this part lost all of its wrinkles and have a bumpy look to them. It is not itchy or painful. When I pull my skin flat I don’t see any spots just a slight skin color difference but it’s really hard to see when the skin is pulled flat.
Avatar n tn It is difficult to diagnose without actually seeing the lesions. Exposure to sun causes most of the wrinkles and age spots on our faces.Treatment of skin lesions is individualized and is determined by the type, size and location and the patient's preference. It is best to see a dermatologist for further evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar n tn almost like it was sunburn (i have not been in the sun). 6 hours later, i was horrified to see a bunch of wrinkles under my eyes...well defined and they were not there previously. i immediately thought of allergy, and have been on benydril since, and while the condition is no worse, the eye wrinkles are still quite prevailing. any thoughts?
Avatar f tn try drinking a gallon of water a day and see how your skin improves. As far as moisture goes your outer skin is a reflection of your hydration.
Avatar f tn Have you showed your mom? It's hard to tell what may be going on without seeing it. Your hands are supposed to have a number of lines and wrinkles, if that is what you are referring to. You won't be able to get rid of those as they are supposed to be there.
Avatar n tn The doctor will remove a layer of skin so that the new layer can thrive and fill in the wrinkles or spots. During the consultation, the doctor will observe your skin tone which determines the correct laser needed to eliminate your age spots. You will have to give it at least a month for the results to show because the skin cell turn-over time is about 28 days. ref:http://www.articlesbase.com/medicine-articles/laser-resurfacing-for-age-spots-and-brown-spots-472827.
