Avatar m tn m not sure if this fully describes what is wrong with me. The stomach pain includes a dull, achy pain that is constant, but gets worse with stress, caffeine, alcohol or certain foods. I think the pain causes me to eat more because it is almost like a hunger pain. It's so bizarre to feel full and still have the stomach pain I experience because I feel full and hungry at the same time. When I first started having these pains, I weighed 172 lbs and stood at 6'0.
Avatar f tn m not an expert on this subject, but I reckon that the blood supply to that area above the voice-box increases at a high rate and causes that pain sensation when you run at a fast pace. Maybe you should see a doctor or wait for an expert doctor to reply to this post, as you said it's been happening for years, I don't think it's an emergency.
Avatar f tn I am experiencing severe stomach pain like someone is sticking a knife into my stomach. I get really gassy and have heartburn or my chest hurts. My mom seems to think it because I am not drinking enough water and I am dehydrated. I just dont think she is right because I am drinking water. The pain hurts so bad lately that it has made me stop running when Im trying to get ready for my season/tryouts coming up in a week.
Avatar f tn When ever I begin to run for just a few minutes, i begin to get this lower abdominal pain on the left side. It feels like something is moving and it hurts extremley badly and i have to stop running. I stop and sit down for a few minutes and let it go away. But it comes back right when i start running again. I can never run anymore because every time i get this pain. Any other exercise is fine and doesn't cause the pain. Just running causes it, and even running in place.
Avatar m tn I have been getting a pain in my upper right abdominal area while running. The pain occurs about 15-20 minutes into my run (like clockwork). It is sort of a cramp-like pain underneath my ribcage on the right side. I have had pain in this area for many years while running off and on. (I thought it was side stitches) The problem is that it is getting worse and I can't make it go away anymore.
Avatar m tn Recently I have been experiencing excruciating lower abdomen pain when running outdoors. This pain is of similar characteristic to period pain but is definitely unrelated as it may happen one day and not the next and happens at all times throughout my cycle. It is not a 'cramp' as it is not muscular it is a more internal pain. The pain occurs about 2km in the run. I run at a constant pace so can not be linked to exertion.
Avatar f tn A few months ago I started experiencing sharp side pain, sometime a spasm underneath my right ribs while running. I've been a jogger/runner my whole life and this is a new development for me. (female- late 20s) At first I decided to take it easy and run less, but after a few weeks I wanted to get back into running more frequently. I was able to push through some of the pain with hydration, stretching and breathing techniques.

Avatar f tn If you suspect gastrointestinal problems are to blame for pain, be sure to hydrate prior to running as dehydration often causes stomach problems. You also may wish to avoid leaving food in the digestive tract---you may wish to drink a protein shake prior to running instead of eating food in order to avoid gastrointestinal upset. In order to relieve a stitch, try stopping, leaning forwards and breathing out hard while pressing in to the painful area with your fingers.
Avatar f tn I'm 20w+5 and its been happening to me on and off all day
Avatar n tn recently it has been worse because i have been feeling a constant sickness for about a month now with back pain and stomach pain. my doctor says maybe its irratable bowel syndrome. my organs are fine i already had them checked out with a cat scan and an ultra sound. im not sure what else it could be.
Avatar m tn s probably a good idea to discontinue running until you have a better understanding of what is causing the pain. did you say you were running on the beach? running on the sand could encourage awkward movements that may strain muscles or jar the skeletal system.....the same is true for very hard surfaces that don't allow the give of a real track.....also, make sure you have the appropriate foot gear for the surface you're running.
Avatar f tn It began after I had diarrhea, I had diarrhea for about a day and half and then it stopped. I had no fever, no stomach pain, nothing else. Today I feel fine however I continue having really loud intestinal sounds. I do not know how to make them stop. What could be causing this?!! If I eat, A while after it starts back again even louder. I am not sure what is causing it. I work in a professional setting and when I have clients in my office and they hear the sounds it’s embarrassing.
Avatar m tn Has this been ongoing or is it just a recent occurrence? Either way, you must respect your body and allow ample time for recovery from working out/exercise, specially when your body tells you so! Try to alternate between heavy and light, aerobic and un-aerobic, upper and lower body-well you know what I mean- and proper rest in between If you have any inflammation, infection, fatigue, stress, that's a sign to slow things down, because if you don't, those conditions WILL!
Avatar n tn I'm 32weeks, I raced my little cousin from the end of the driveway to the door the other day, and it kinda hurt my stomach for a minute or two after. So I couldn't see running more than that.

Avatar m tn Hi I am nineteen yrs old and for the past six months I've had pain while urinating and just a month ago foamy urine development. The urinalysis was normal. A renal ultrasound performed was also normal as was the results of a prostate exam. The urologist said not to worry about it. I also have hyperacidity and black stools from time to time as well as a constant (more or less) pain on my upper right stomach. Probably an ulcer. I'm taking pantoprazole for it now.

Avatar f tn A couple of months ago, he started squatting a lot and then we noticed that he is having stomach spasms at the same time. We think the spasm is what causes him to squat. He shows no signs of pain and just goes about his daily business while squatting and having spasms. He eats, plays, sleeps and relieves himself all normally.
Avatar f tn I sat down heavily on the couch yesterday and the cushion pressed on my back on that side and I got a very strong pain which took a while to subside. At night when I lie on my back I have no pain. If I lie on my right side my left side suffers a strong jab of pain and if I lie on my left side, the pain is opposite. If I just endure it ( because I only sleep on my side) then after a while the pain subsides.
