Avatar f tn But there's one more thing, and that has to do with what your husband is eating...cabbage and cucumbers can create gas, eating fruit with a meal instead of as a snack, gulping food or drinking a lot of carbonated drinks... there are many foods that cause gas and you can do a general online search for more of those.

Avatar m tn When you first got tested for HIV what what the time frame after exposure? Which test was it at that time? I am also surprised they don't culture your folliculitis. It is strange to me to run all the expensive lab tests and not do a simple culture. Doctors love to do the expensive lab tests first. I just had a $1,000 in lab tests too and about 20 tubes taken from me. I'm glad to know I don't have a genetic reason for getting my blood clots but geese. She is doing some autoimmune check on you.
Avatar n tn Its become pretty bad to the point where I wake up at night to burp and/or fart. the burps are horrible smelling (sometimes worse then the farts). I could just burp all day long, it seems. This all started about the last time a certain fast food chain had that e-coli outbreak... and I had been eating there around that time. Granted, it's been about 3 months... first the aweful burps started slowly... and now more and more followed by excessive farting.
Avatar n tn Are you close to the age ? Otherwise there are number of medical causes for the night sweats. Your kidney problems are not the cause. Since when are you having the increased sweating ?

Avatar f tn It is more likely to be a gastric problem especially since it occurs in the night and on lying down. This could be gas or a gastro esophageal reflux disease which can cause very severe pain. I would suggest you to eat your dinner at least 2 hrs before bedtime. Avoid junk food, take OTC antacids and if possible try and cut down on your smoking and alcohol consumption. If the symptoms do not improve please consult your physician. Take care!
Avatar m tn at age 46, Post vitrectomy and buckle, my gas bubble lasted nearly 12 weeks - it was c3f8 gas. My cataract was noted to be developing shortly after my vitrectomy (and scleral buckle) surgery. I was warned to expect a cataract "soon" after, but that was very fast apparently the buckle also increased my myopia.

Avatar n tn I, too, have tremors at night when I am in a twilight sleep (partially awake), especially toward the morning. A neurologist refused to do any testing because my hands are rock steady during the day. This started about 2 years ago, close to the time I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. I use a c-pap machine to sleep so the apnea seems to be controlled....I don't know if the two are related.
Avatar n tn My grandmother had severe chest pain one night and thought she was having a heart attack. When she arrived at the hospital, they said that they were going down her stomach to have a look. Sure enough, she had a stomach tumor, benign and the doctors said that she had it for years and did not have any symptoms until that one night.
213533 tn?1315394783 Not sure what the pain in the left side of heart could be. I would definetely get a battery of tests and start ruling things out. I have a friend who has constant pain in that area and she has had every test available. they chalked it up to her being overweight -- she even had an angio done to make sure it wasnt her heart. Sunkissed -- No you aren't crazy. i'm 39 and have been living with this since I was a teenager. the Dr's always say dont worry about it but it is very hard to do.
Avatar n tn I have been trying an experiment were I don't eat anything 5 hours before sleep (stop eating at 6PM -7PM), although it seems to happen at the same time no matter when I go to sleep. Not sure what causes this. Can your body know the time? I not sure if this was the cause, but on the nights I am able to control myself, I have not had an attach. Also I suspect intense abdominal exercises during the following day may contribute.
Avatar m tn I haven't consulted my doctor about this as the side effects of Cipro and Doxy both cause dizziness. the issue only seems to happen if I eat too late at night (since it started occurring 6 days ago). Today was the last day of my meds so I'm going to wait and see if I feel better before going back. I have an appointment with a psychologist on Thursday, who is an MD and I'll mention the issues to him. I use to suffer from anxiety disorder and since the kidney infection, my anxiety has come back.
377493 tn?1356505749 So, what do you think causes homelessness. them: Drug use, alcohol and mental illness. Me: Your all right. Those are all possible contributing factors. So, next question...what do you think of when you think of a homeless person. them: the guy talking to himself on the corner eating out of a garbage can or panhandling. the guy drunk on the corner almost passed out. the junkie in the alley looking for his next "score". Me: All possibilities and all true answers. Now...
396332 tn?1320007215 Laryngitis Nausea Sore throat Chronic dry cough, especially at night. GERD is a common cause of unexplained coughing. It is not clear how cough is caused or aggravated by GERD. Asthma. Some of these nerves that are stimulated by the refluxed acid stimulate the nerves to the lungs, which then can cause the smaller breathing tubes to narrow, resulting in an attack of asthma.
Avatar n tn I do know that lately i have been waking up at night with massive heart burn, so bad that i have to pace around for a while because it causes my throat to burn major. So.. What do you all think?
Avatar f tn when this pain first started two years a go i have night sweats, hot flushes and fever at night. but I haven't had that any more. I have go througth a lot of testing for eg. upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, blood test, urinalisis, hida scan, abdominal ct scan, ultrasounds. it came back that I have uterine fibroids, two ovarian cysts, h pylori and chronic gastritis.,I try to take the antibiotics for 14 days for the h pylori but i couldn't take it for 3 days because I got sick from my stomach.
Avatar f tn Let me give you my symptoms and also let you know that tomorrow I am having a colonoscopy to try and determine the problem (I will post what they find). I have been having issues with what they believe were anxiety / panic attacks. therefore regardless of what the symptom the doc's always tried to attribute it to anxiety. I did have an endoscopy 2 months ago due to some acid reflux type symptoms.
Avatar f tn i try advoiding alot of socail events, and try not staying over anywhere because of my gas problem, and i find even at night when i sleep it just comes out and i can't help it! my stomach makes werid noises, and sometimes has mussle spasams, and makes me want to poop..sorry for being so decriptive, but i dunno what else to do! i had a lacotse test done, and it came back fine..but i find whenever i do go for a test my stomach and gas are no where to be found...
Avatar f tn I think all babies at that age have gas. I remember Ethan farting throughout the entire night. Although his gas didnt make him too cranky because he would just fart all the time. However I think some babies are more affected by it. Try laying him on his back and moving his legs up to his chest then flat back down. You can create a little fart factory.LOL! Also I would lay Ethan over my legs on his belly and wiggle my legs back and forth...he liked that too!
Avatar n tn I still haven't seen the anesthesiologist (I think he comes in tomorrow morning after I've been admitted), so I feel a bit at sea. Can anyone give me information on what this gas is, how it is administered, why it is administered, if everyone gets it, and what the consequences are?
Avatar n tn I have real bad gas and I don't know what to do about it. I pass gas and don't know it untill someone passes by saying what's that smell. I don't want to sit by anyone I hate going out in public. I have got so that I'm losing my hair worrying about this.
Avatar m tn Hi, I was hyper at 200 Levo, reduced to 175,. I alway's had bloating/gas while hyper, come/go but now don't know if I'm mildly hyper or heading hypo till next blood labs end of the month. Avatar m tn I wanted to start my own thread in hopes of finding out what causes these digestive/gas problems. Also I thought another thread may add more weight to this issue. I've been reading a little about how bacteria plays a role in balancing the digestive system so I was wondering how I could get everything balanced again. Surely there must be tests. I mean are there tests that can show if your digestive system is unbalanced? I've heard about those yogurts.
407149 tn?1211736107 I, too, would like to know what causes this. It is very annoying, considering that the smell of gas/exhaust makes me nauseous.
Avatar n tn I most often feel this discomfort at night, especially when I lie down to go to sleep. I also have irregular bowels that are affected by diet. Recently I went to a doctor, who diagnosed the problem as IBS and prescribed dicyclomine. I looked at the long list of possible side effects and am hesitant to take it, especially since I am not sure I have IBS. I don't have pain, and I don't feel constipated. Besides IBS, what other problem could this be?
Avatar f tn I tried gas-x, beano etc but I still couldn't burp out the gas. I am at my wit's end.........Don't even know what I can do now.
