Some people may remember me, its Liscamdave. Had to change my name cause I can't remember any of my old info. Hope all are well. I have been a member here for like 6 yrs and haven't been on in a while. I relapsed recently, with methadone. My life has literally fallen apart. I was in rehab for the first time in March. Was only there for 2 weeks because I found out I was pregnant about a week into treatment.

Not all rehab centers are equal. Many if not most try to do it too quickly with a one size fits all approach, whereas an individual psychiatrist who really knows his stuff will go at your pace. Not that those are easy to find! By the way, you need a new psychiatrist. The one you have doesn't seem to realize he works for you.

many drug rehab centers are available to treat you against Drug addiction.Please have patience and try to quit it because its good for your health.

no matter how sick you are...i mean what are they going to do if you dont get up? throw you out? they just bug you constantly to get up and participate....as i said, most rehabs are basically the same, except some are alot newer and cleaner...i've rarely found the food good,with the exception of a few detoxes that actually had a salad bar and buffet....dont be nervous...you will get thru it..and noone hates detox more than i do...

Most rehab centers take care of the detox the first week or so that you're there. I know the ones I checked into do. Also, stay away from Ultram. It will open a can of worms you don't need to mess with.

Get your phone book out. Look up detox and rehab centers in your area. Whether you have health insurance or not there are places you can go to get detoxed. That is the beginning. Then the work begins. To figure out why you are doing this. It sounds like it started with back surgery. But that is just a symptom.. There is something that is making you afraid or sad or both that makes you feel a need to numb yourself. I use to do this with alcohol.

There are many expensive rehab centers across the United States that are not too large, or crowded, but will keep him at least 90 days and urge him to transition to a sober living facility afterward for a period of time. These facilities, if you have the money, can be very effective. I am so down and already was down as my endorphins are bottomed out from the detox. I needed good news at this time to feel better like what I did was good. I have to now just get over this anger and jump thru the hoops. Any info is helpful on inpt rehab. or even outpt rehab. I posted before my husband decided to go to rehab we live in Ct and took him to one in Penn. I just have a question and this sounds so stupid, but i've lost all trust in him since all his lies and addiction. I want to know what it's like in rehab. He is in detox for 5 days then stays there for 21 days. The place is called livengrin...any of you heard of it or been there? I just want to know if people can easily have sex in places like that?

Rehab, ah what hell on earth. There are no TVs in the bedrooms, as a matter there are cameras in the bedrooms where the tv should go. When your in detox they can watch you when you are in your room, which isnt comfy or cozy 24/7. You have an unknown roomate and maybe for the first day or two you can get a doctors order for two hours of bedrest, but thats it.

The Morphine is scary and I finally started calling detox centers and rehab. I feel like I have to take myself out of my environment because my life ias so busy and the people around me ARE so needy (family) job. My fiance is behind me but he isn't an addict. The only medical detox I have found is no smoking but what the hey, 3 days.... Should I try to detox at home first and then go to treatment. I am grateful I have the chance to go. Has anyone went thru this.

I'm currently taking benzos for my anxiety disorder and have been on them for almost 3 years now but I'm not addicted to the benzos, I'm dependent on them.

Hey Cj!! I didn't realize you were so close, I'm from Amarillo, Texas. I know here in Tx, many rehab centers offer payment plans for people without ins, you would need to locate one near you and see if maybe that is an option for you. Take care!!

as me and my friends say i couldnt pay my rent and now had to move back with my mom im out of control and cant stop my addiction has completely taken over and dont no what to do.................i want to find a good rehab that is free............

One in a 100 may come through there that are not like that, however, odds are too low, so everyone gets treated the same. No, you are not allowed privacy in detox, why, so that the people there can do their job in helping u. I also want to point out no one I know, wants to be an addict. They just are and it doesn't matter at what point we figure this out. How about going to treatment (30 days or more) and just following the directions given.

My thoughts on this are, if you are in Maryland now, as hard as it seems, you should stay to go thru rehab. I know you need your kids & they need you. But they need you clean. If you know there is no help for you in Mexico, get the help you need here in the states Cassie. Your children & your whole life will thank you for it. Please do what's best, not what's easiest.

Thanks for the comment Dog. I agree, we aren't always able to go to the treatment options they are, but if we put the money we were spending on drugs towards that, I think we could come pretty close. I have seen addicts get down right mad about the program, and it makes me wonder if they dislike it because they don't like to see what they were like, or maybe they haven't come to grips with the pain they caused. I don't know, this is just my opinion. Have a good night.

The other thing ask to join them going to a commitment so you can get an idea what they are like. I hope and pray everything works out and you get better.

I probably just need outpt rehab, but like today, I feel I need inpatient rehab. I ache all over after being clean a month. My kids can see the difference in me because before I was so complacent, now I'm just irritable when I'm here, and gone a lot trying to keep up with this nursing recovery program. I'm stressed out trying to make these deadlines. And to have to depend on my husband to carry his end of it.

sub has been pretty good for me but i could certainly see where it could be a big problem for some people they really should try to keep in rehab or detox centers the shorter your on it the better from what i have the withdrawal is very bad and long lasting i do understand some may need long term with sub but it seems that some people are trading a light addiction and then getting hooked on sub and it is very potent it seems we are trading less for more

After you detox and you no longer have insurance benefits for any rehab, what do you do? My grandson just checked into a detox facility but cannot return to his home. He is detoxing from oxy, valium, alcohol and was on a binge after 10 weeks clean. I dont know what to do to help him without enabling him..any suggestions? He is 18 last month so we dont get any info from detox facility.
