My dr, said she looked it up in her book, and Wellbutrin XL 150mg, is only prescribed for SAD and to quit smoking. She did not want to prescribe the XL at all no mater what I said. She prescribed me Regular Wellbutrin 100mg twice per day. I do not want the regular wellbutrin as it will make me shakey, and I will not follow through with taking 2 pills per day...
VE SUFFERED FROM PANIC DISORDERS FOR A LONG AS I REMEMBER. SO I WENT TO MY PHYCHITRIST AND SHE SUBSCRIBE WELLBUTRIN XL FOR A BOOSTER. PERHAPS TO HELP MY EMOTIONAL EATING AND DEPRESSION. I'VE BEEN ON IT FOR A FEW WEEKS NOW FIRST 150 MGS FOR 7 DAYS THEN 300MGS THAT I'M AT NOW.

If you were my patient, I would advise you that there shouldn't be any contraindication to taking Ibuprofen, Acetominophen or Aleve with those two medications.

I would say yes, because wellbutrin is an antidepressant and klonopin is a benzo and they don't have any neg effect together usually and are often perscribed together, to be sure I would call an all night pharmacist or your local pharmacist, they can give you more professional advice, I do it all the time. JUst ask them if you can tak ethe two together and they can tell you if you need to look for or worry with side effects, but I would think it is fine.

I was wondering if reducing the Wellbutrin to 150 and adding Zoloft would be good? I took Zoloft in the past and it worked. I think the Wellbutrin is good for fibromyalgia and I don't want to give it up completely.
Can you please tell me if Wellbutrin XL will help with anxiety issues. Or can the medication Cymbalta be of better use?
Well, sometimes it's not a bad idea to get a new look on things by seeing a different psychiatrist. I don't know how far into your education you are, but if it's early in your college stay you're going to need help from time to time. If you're adamant about not seeing another shrink, try setting up a telephone appointment with you doc at home. There could be several things happening. It could be the drugs just aren't working as well anymore.
s anyone out there who has ever been on the combination of Zoloft and Wellbutrin then please let me know how it worked and especially if they felt tired when they were on Zoloft by itself. I really feel like i'm at the end of my rope. I was doing well for a while and then things everything just seemed to wear off and I feel like I'm back at square one.
I am currently taking 400mg XL of Wellbutrin, one upon rising and one 3-4 hours later and then at night I take 50mg Zoloft. I would like ot have a weaning off of the wellbutrin schedule and eventually the zoloftor both at the same time if possible. They seem to help for awhile and then not anymore and I can't afford to keep paying for them.
My doctor started me on Wellbutrin XL 150mg and I felt great the first couple of days, however I now get very depressed in the afternoons, dwelling on the past - how I could have done things better and how messed up my life is now, the doc wants to increase the dose to 300mg but these pills are expensive!! I can't afford to pay $120/month just for these....isn't there anything cheaper that would help?
d need something more energizing to keep me going and get me off the couch, Wellbutrin XL works wonders in that regard. I haven't heard from the doc yet...maybe he thinks I'm crazy lol.
what is the safest way to wean off wellbutrin 300 xl?
I'm taking 300mg of wellbutrin,it is not doing the job alone. My doctor said zoloft and wellbutrin are compatible I'm going to add per his advice 50mg of zoloft I really hope this will make some difference. Just like some feed back on this.
My experience with zoloft was, that taking 50mg a day, I at first lost a few pounds, and was ecstatic. I've struggled with severe anxiety, and the zoloft really helped me. However, after about two months of being on it, I began to gain weight steadily, until I had packed 15 extra pounds on to my small frame. I never had ANY trouble with weight gain in my life; if I started seeing the scale creep up, I could exercise and be careful for a day or two and it would go right back to normal.
I have been on Wellbutrin 300 mg XL for 1 year and due to anxiety, psyc dr. has added Zoloft - 25 mg for a week then up to 50 mg. I took 25 mg. yesterday at 1 PM and yawned a lot throughout the afternoon. When I went to bed, I took 25 mg. Visteral, prescribed by my dr. for insomnia. I try not to take it every night, it's usually after about 4-5 nights of not being able to sleep. I went to sleep last night, but woke up 3 hours later and couldn't go back to sleep even though I felt sleepy.
I take Wellbutrin XL 300 mg once a day and Tramadol 50 mg. every six hours. I have not noticed any side effects at all using these two together. Also don't notice any difference in pain. Now I'm also taking Neurontin and Naproxen on top of it....now I have some side effects! Take care and I hope you feel better.
in my opinion only!! always check with your doctor first....but as far as I know when ur on a medication 'in the same family' as the new one your doctor is changing u2....than u do not have to taper off...just stop and start!
Its only when ur changing to a different family of meds ie: SSRI's ,SNRO's MOA's and so on that u need to taper...
I have been taking zoloft (50mg) for many years, i am tired of the weight gain, sexual side effects and other. I talked to my Dr 10 days ago and he suggested that I immediately switch to Wellbutrin XL. I asked about tapering and was told that it was not necessary. The first 5 days was fine. For the last few days I have been extremely irritable, had headaches, dizziness, and many other symptoms i am now finding may be related to Zoloft withdrawl.
I've been on Wellbutrin XL 150 mg once a day for a week now and while it helps tremendously with my depression and energy levels, it makes me more anxious and every so often I get a panic attack. I take 1mg Klonopin a day divided in quarters, should I take more? Doc wanted to put me on SSRI's but had a bad reaction to them so no....they're out.
