Wellbutrin xl and caffeine

Common Questions and Answers about Wellbutrin xl and caffeine

wellbutrin

Was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue. Anxiety was more of an issue than depression, but was put on Wellbutrin 150 XL because dr. had had success with it and said "depression and anxiety are different sides of the same coin" when I questioned being put on an antidepressant when I was anxious. About 8 months later, my anxiety is worse and while my dr.
Wellbutrin and Caffeine-containing foods/beverages , Wellbutrin and Alcohol, and Wellbutrin and tobacco. As far as the Buspirone, there are two severe drug interactions : Buspirone and certain food i.e. avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice when taking this medication., Buspirone and Alcohol. I hope you found this information helpful. Be well.
I take creatine, caffeine, and smaller amounts of other supplements on top of 400 mg/day of wellbutrin and no problems. Sports supplements and wellbutrin (a psychoactive drug) work on completely different tissues in the body and thus do not work in unison with each other. Wellbutrin gives you mental energy, supplements actually stimulate a more physiological response.
My main concern is that I hear that Tyrosine can effect dopamine etc. And I am wondering if there are any known complications between a substance like this and wellbutrin etc. I wouldn't want to get serotonin overload syndrome or anything Iike that - tho I do feel super happy and buzzed after working out, and no I don't crash from it either.. mood wise. Also, not sure if Taurine effects neurotransmitters etc. I guess I may have to do some in-depth research.
I've been on bupropion xl 300mg for 7 years and it has truly changed my life. I used to have very severe Seasonal Affective Disorder and social anxiety, both of which have been all but cured with the medication. However, I have also struggled with ADD my entire life and now, finally, at 44, I have sought treatment for that as well. I was prescribed methylphenidate ER-LA 20mg. I am trying to determine the best strategy for taking these pills.
I've been on Wellbutrin for about 5 years and it's worked wonders for my depression. I also believe it's been a key factor in losing weight and maintaining my weight loss. During the first year and a half of taking it, I lost 30 pounds. Although I didn't necessarily feel less hungry, I felt like I had more energy and I was more in control of my impulsive behavior.
The good news is, if you wake up and are tired, you take some wellbutrin and you aren't tired anylonger...it is like caffeine, not so much speed. It isn't like overpowering energy, it is like you are awake and not tired. Very difficult to go to sleep. And the pill makes you NOT want to eat. It is like food isn't as pleasurable anymore (and I was obsessed with food before). This doesn't suppress your appetite though, it just makes you not want to eat.
Also, heard Wellbutrin and drinking don't mix very well. So between the Wellbutrin and my Rosacea, I guess my weekly beers are out for awhile :( FL: Don't think SAD is it. Think what's making me down is having to stay inside more than staying inside. I did buy one of those SAD lamps many winters ago but ended up returning it. SF: You're right. I posted the article but you picked out the "bending over" part :) You know, can't even remember what that article was about. LOL.
LOL. Sounds like you're taking Wellbutrin and not Wellbutrin XL which I believe is a newer formulation. Wellbutrin XL is once a day dosing while reg Wellbutrin I think is 2X a day. I guess you don't know how these things will hit you until you take them. How long was it before you felt the effects after you started. Thanks.
ive been on & off wellbutrin SR & XL a few times. i was diagnosed with bipolar and manic depression 6 yrs ago. i am on wellbutrin SR 300mgs now to help with severe depression. without this medication, i could sleep straight for a week and still not have any energy or ambition to get up. my doc told me to try this medication and give it at least 3-4 weeks and i would notice a huge difference. it does keep me functioning at a normal rate.
30pm, and by 9 I felt okay enough to come home. Today I took it at 11:35, and it's 7:45 right now and I still feel kinda ******. I definately can see where people could consider suicide! If I was already having really depressing episodes this would not help at all... this would make it feel almost justified to stop the constant nerve-racking. I'm taking this for anxiety though (probably GAD) and I am not contemplating suicide. But man, this is absolutely ****.
I was diagnosed with RLS by a neurologist 4 years ago and have been to at least 10 other doctors about this condition but none mentioned a possible relationship between this condition and SSRIs. I even told them that alcohol and caffeine made the symptoms worse but it didn't ring a bell with them. I also found that the RLS symptoms were making my anxiety and depression symptoms worse than they were before I got on these medications.
I almost started to cry at work and felt like I was losing it and going to have a breakdown. I called my doctor and left a message with his nurse. I'm on wellbutrin as well. On the YAZ pamphlet it says to talk to your doctor before taking this medicine if you have had depression. What does my obgyn know about depression??? I also have mitro-valve prolapse and it also states if you have heart valve problems not to take this pill. All I know how I felt in just two days is miserable.
After 10 years of use, I have weaned myself off of Paroxtetine and Wellbutrin XL. It took 2 months with the aid of St.John's Wort. Now I have ceased that usage. The downside to this is my sleep cycle is totally screwed up. I an waking at 3-4 am everyday and am unable to sleep during an afternoon nap. Will a more suitable sleep pattern ensue?
About this same time I had decided to start weaning myself off of Effexor for several different reasons. I was taking both Wellbutrin XL and Effexor XR and was just tired of taking so many medications ( I am also on hormone replacement therapy). The side effects I had from Effexor were not that totally bad; sweating and being hot when nobody else was, decreased sexual feelings, not as intense orgasms. I had quit about a year ago but don't remember feeling like this at all.
I developed a kidney stone and bladder issues from taking apmhetamine based stimulants, so currently off Vyvanse and Adderall. I'm trying to manage my symptoms by taking Wellbutrin XL 150 twice a day, and taking Tyrosine. We'll see how long it lasts....
They only last a few seconds. The build and peak like labor pains. Say I'm in the kitchen and I'll feel it coming on so I have time to brace myself. I'll set down whatever it is i'm holding and get ready. I have to cross my legs, bend my knees, hold on to something, clench my body tight, and try to breathe. Thank God it only lasts a few seconds. My 14 yr. old son witnessed it yesterday and tried to call 911. I kept signaling him not to. I knew it wouldn't last long. My gyno.
I just had a baby in July and a lot of people think it's that but it started before that. He was my 4th. And my last two were close together about 15mos. I feel like I've tried everything and nothing helps. I waisted so much time and money I want help. Is this just anxiety or could the drs be missing something? I am so scared. I have been to a shrink but that didn't help much either. Even when I don't feel anxious I still have symptoms. I also feel like I can't breath a lot.
Atenolol/Tenormin, Metoprolol/Toprol XL, Acebutolol/Sectral, etc.
Vyvanse is very similar to Adderal like the other poster said, but it is much smoother; not as much ups and downs throughout the day. Wellbutrin and strattera are non-stimulant options, but have a much lower success rates. If you're having trouble with amphetamine-type stimulants, you should next try a methylphenidate-type stimulant. Ritalin would be in that class. I first tried Adderal XR with an Adderal boost in the afternoon, then Vyvanse and now I'm on Daytrana.
I have been having anxiety and panic attacks, not daily but often enough to want help. I was put on Wellbutrin XL 150 daily a month ago and I spoke with my doc yesterday about tapering off as I feel like it is making me feel more anxious then I did to start with. I will be tapering off the next 3 weeks and after I that I have to wait 2 weeks with none of the drug in my system before I can start anything else to help with the anxiety.
could any of these be aggravating my PACs? Thoughts?
So I have been on and off meds for anxiety. I have tried Lexapro and Celexia and while they worked good I had a sexual side effect that I hated (as well as wife). Recently tried Welbutrion and no side effect but didn't do much for my anxiety. Thought that it was at first but not so much anymore (been on it for 2 months). Been reading a lot about Buspirone and it seems like it really works well for some people and does not have the side effect that I dread.
n) ; Serlife (100mg n) ; Molipaxin (50mg n) ; Wellbutrin XL 300 (m) and Verahexal SR 240. I have sinus tachycardia and MRI shows Microvascular Ischemia. Working with my Cardiologist. I am a recovering anorexic whereby I have maintained a healthy weight of 47kgs over the last six months (for the first time in my life), being over a 20 year battle. My height is 1.52 m ; age 36. I do realise the damage done to my heart is due to the anorexia nervosa.
My past medical history includes post-partum depression in 2001 for which I was taking Wellbutrin XL 300mg through the beginning of 2012 (I guess it was no longer just post-partum depression but not requiring meds at this point.) Migraines. I was taking Zonigran for them, but quit same time I quit the Welbutrin because I can't remember so much stuff and was afraid it was a side effect. I still have mush for memory and write a lot down to help me remember.
Burning feeling in my legs on and of, a rush of heat down my legs, twitching all over, muscle jerks as I fall asleep odd sensations in arm and face, not numbness and and not pins and needles per say and buzzing and vibrations and sometimes couldn't think of the word I was looking for(not that noticable before). All transient but at least one of the symptoms daily. At the end of six weeks of the higher Synthroid dose, I went to see my primary Dr. and my TSH was 1.2.
i took it and it made me loose 20 pounds and for the seizures just stay away from caffeine, my doctor said a lot of caffeine while taking wellbutrin could cause seizures. other than that it helped me a lot. It's one of the best for depression in my book.
My question is I still have odd sensations all over my body. Pins and needles and twitching are the most annoying and scary to me. The nuero said my exam was absolutely normal and that my twitching is caused by my anxiety. I have been totally depleted from the depression and anxiety. I also have aches and pains like exremity cramps and it feels as if someone is slapping my brain from the inside, my back aches.
I initially wondered if I could be having a withdrawal syndrome and after discussing this with my doctor, I went back on the Wellbutrin. The symptoms did not resolve and continued to increase. I have since stopped it again. See message part 2 please, thanks.

I have since stopped it again. Also of note is the fact that I am a big consumer of tea... camilia sinensis (black and green teas), not herbal blends.
