But I will say I was taking the Cholestyram for my IBS until my Gastro gave me Welchol...Long term use of Cholestyram has effects on your teeth, it breaks down the enamel and makes them brittel. I have had so much dental work because of that medication. For all of you out there with IBS ask your Gastro dr about Welchol it is wonderful. I new that after the surgery it would take some time to get back to normal (being able to eat and not have diarrhea). However, this is not my case-my diarrhea is if anything worse and more frequent. No certain foods cause it- one day I can eat something and have diarrhea, the next day eat the same thing and nothing. I would assume they're giving you welchol for diarrhea and the Ami for GI spasms. So today my Celexa dose was upped from half a pill to 1 whole pill and the side effects are coming back like when I first started... Sweaty, can't sleep, headache, stiff neck, clenching teeth... Etc. I don't know what to do. I tried taking stuff for it, including an Oxy but still no change. What can I take to make these side effects not so bad?
